Abstract

Students face various challenges that can make them feel depressed, unhappy, and dissatisfied with what they have. The conditions experienced by students reflect their well-being. Low subjective well-being makes students less enthusiastic, anxious, and emotional. This study aims to find empirical evidence of the role of self-esteem as a mediator of social support and grit on subjective well-being. The respondents of this study were 250 active students in Surakarta City recruited using cluster sampling. Data collection used four scales: Subjective Well-being Scale, Self-Esteem Scale, Social Support Scale, and Grit Scale. The Structural Equation Model program, with the help of the Jamovi application, was used for data analysis. The measurement model of each variable meets the standard values ​​of NFI, TLI, RMSEA, and SRMR, so it is said to be a good fit. The results of this study confirm the importance of social support and grit in increasing students’ self-esteem and subsequently increasing their subjective well-being.

Abstract

The high number of recidivism cases is a form of evaluation of the failure of the reintegration process of correctional clients. This study aims to determine the study of reintegration in correctional clients so that further research can be conducted. The research method used is bibliometric analysis using Vosviewer on published articles indexed by Scopus based on searches from 2000-2024. The results of the study showed that a journal search on the scopus.com site with the keywords (reentry OR resettlement OR reintegration*) AND (recidivi OR recidivism*) AND (prisoners OR incarceration OR incarcerated*) obtained 524 journals. Then reduced based on the following aspects, namely (1) English and open access, (2) Scopus-indexed scientific articles, (3) research in 2000-2024, (4) subject areas in the fields of Social, Health and Psychology. Based on the results of the Vosviewer analysis using the co-author method, it shows that the country with the highest reintegration research is America with 390 Scopus-indexed journals. This shows that research interest in the topic of reintegration is very high, followed by Australia and England and other European countries. From the author's context, there are 10 authors who show high frequency in their research, but there are only four authors who are connected to each other. This shows the lack of significant collaboration between authors. In addition, there are several potential variables for further research, namely mental health, well-being, quality of life, self-efficacy, dan support system.

Abstract

Living as a farmer located on the slopes of Mount Merapi where access is not easy to reach and some difficulties that must be faced as a farmer. However, from all the difficulties, farmers in Village X in Selo District, Boyolali choose to fill their free time by practicing dancing. For them, dancing is an activity to relieve boredom. From the difficulties they have, they continue to preserve the arts with totality and selflessly. The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning of life of folk dance artists in Village X. This study involved 3 people who were dancers at Community X. Respondents who work as farmers who often dance in Village X with an age of over 25 years, practice and perform dance performances for more than 10 years. This qualitative research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. This study uses a semi-structured interview method. The attitude of religiosity is reflected in the results of the study, namely the shortcomings of farmers, they are still grateful and try to provide benefits to others through folk dance arts. Dancing is also an activity that makes them feel happy because it can determine their own interests and realize the potential they have so that doing anything related to art can be done totally and selflessly. Folk dancers have hopes from what they have done for their next life. Supported by their experience in art in the village, respondents have an attitude of mutual cooperation and a sense of belonging to develop dance art. Positive attitudes such as optimism and fighting for art that exist in respondents make respondents face problems with full confidence and calm.

Abstract

Education is very important in the life of citizens and includes children with special needs which are also regulated by the state. According to the law, children with special needs have the right to get a quality education. Children with mental retardation, in learning to read, write, and count, of course, face obstacles in their cognition, mastery, use of language, and physical-motor abilities. Therefore they need learning methods to improve their cognitive. The purpose of this article review is to review scientific articles that discuss effective scientific methods for mentally retarded children. The method used is library research with reference sources obtained from Google Scholar. The criteria for articles used as references are journals published in the last 10 years from 2012-2021. The results of the selected review articles state that visual, audio, kinesthetic, and tactile methods can be applied as learning methods for mentally retarded children, by optimizing all sensory functions. The application of this method is considered effective for helping mentally retarded children in the learning process, especially in reading, writing, and arithmetic. With this, it is hoped that it can help improve the learning achievement of mentally retarded children.

Abstract

Meningkatnya angka kematian akibat penyakit tidak menular (PTM) di Indonesia, salah satunya disebabkan oleh perilaku merokok menjadi isu kesehatan yang memerlukan perhatian serius. Sementara prevalensi perokok aktif terus meningkat, tak terkecuali di kalangan pelajar usia remaja. Pemerintah Kota Surakarta sejak tahun 2019 menginisiasi Kampung Bebas Asap Rokok sebagai upaya perlindungan anak dan masyarakat dari paparan asap rokok. Program Layanan Psikologi Profesi Psikolog Umum ini dilakukan pada komunitas KBAR “Bagasing Awak” yang terletak RW IX, Kelurahan P, Kota Surakarta yang telah dideklarasikan sejak tahun 2020. Tujuan program ini adalah mengoptimalkan potensi wilayah dan peran aktif masyarakat setempat dalam pencegahan merokok pada remaja sehingga dapat mengurangi masalah kesehatan yang terus berulang terjadi di masyarakat. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa psikoedukasi yang melibatkan 48 perwakilan keluarga dan 14 remaja. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test, post-test serta refleksi kualitatif. Hasil intervensi psikoedukasi pada perwakilan keluarga menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai mengenai peran keluarga dan kader dalam pencegahan merokok pada remaja, serta merasakan dampak positif pemasangan stiker rumah bebas asap rokok. Hal serupa juga didapatkan pada peningkatan pengetahuan remaja mengenai bahaya merokok disertai kemampuan pencegahan faktor internal pengelolaan stres dan keterampilan menolak rokok. Kemudian dikuatkan dengan advokasi kebijakan KTR maupun program sosialisasi bahaya rokok di lingkungan sekolah pada kelurahan setempat sehingga serangkaian kegiatan intervensi ini dapat mencapai tujuan jangka panjang dan berkelanjutan dalam upaya pencegahan merokok pada remaja.
