Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal 3D Printer filament extruder machine design, to determine the design of the extruder components for filament production, to determine the single screw design used for filament production. The research method used is creating flow chart, the result of the research is the calculation of the diameter of the 3D Printer filament of 1.77 mm, by measuring the diameter of the filament by taking a 2 meters long sample to be measured every 10 cm. the most influential components in this research are diameter, length of single screw extruder, length of filament winding process, production capacity and total electric power. With a screw speed of 5 RPM, 1.5 kg of ready-to-use 3D printer filament is produced within 1 hour of production. So there, is an error between the calculation and the real condition of 15%.

Abstract

In today's fast-paced digital era, the selection of a programming language plays a crucial role in the success of software development projects. This research aims to create an index of popularity for programming languages using the multi-attributive border approximation area comparison (MABAC) method. The study considers four data sources, including Jobstreet.Com, LinkedIn.Com, Google Trends, and Tiobe.com, to obtain the necessary information for evaluating the popularity of programming languages in Indonesia. The data range for this study is from May 1, 2020, until April 31, 2021. The results of the study indicate that the top ten programming languages in terms of popularity in Indonesia are Java, SQL, php, JavaScript, C, C++, python, C#, Visual Basic, and Assembly. The index can serve as a useful guide for strategic decision-making regarding the selection of programming languages for addressing the needs of the information technology market in Indonesia. The study's findings can be useful for software developers, IT professionals, and decision-makers in organizations who need to select a programming language for their software projects in Indonesia. The MABAC method used in this study can also be applied to other contexts for evaluating the popularity of programming languages.

Abstract

Alkali treatment of natural fibers has a role in removing hemicellulose and lignin layers. This layer prevents the matrix from bonding with the natural fiber cellulose structure. The use of an inappropriate type of alkali will reduce its effectiveness and can even damage the cellulose layer. This study compared the effectiveness of alkaline NaOH, CaOH and KOH in removing lignin and hemicellulose and their ability to maintain cellulose content. The use of the immersion method in alkaline solutions is well controlled. The FTIR characterization test was used to detect functional group changes, the TGV test to detect heat resistance ability, the XRD test to detect structural changes in crystalline and amorphous properties of sansevieria natural fibers. Furthermore, the tensile test to determine the effect of alkaline treatment on changes in mechanical strength Tensile strength. From the test results it was found that the alkaline NaOH gave the best characteristics by detecting the presence of cellulose, tensile strength and the nature of the crystalline atomic structure. Highlights: Effectiveness of Alkali Types: Comparison of NaOH, CaOH, and KOH effectiveness in removing lignin and hemicellulose while preserving cellulose content. Characterization Techniques: FTIR, TGA, and XRD tests used for functional group changes, heat resistance, and structural properties evaluation. NaOH Superiority: Alkaline NaOH treatment demonstrated best results in maintaining cellulose, enhancing tensile strength, and influencing atomic structure. Abstract

The disaster-safe education unit program still has various obstacles in its implementation so that the main objectives of the disaster-safe education unit program have not been realized. The purpose of this research is to find solutions to obstacles to the implementation of the disaster safe education unit program in the perspective of social cognitive theory. This type of research is qualitative with a literature review data collection method. This research uses a type of realist review, because it wants to interpret the real conditions of disaster-safe education units and then provide reinforcement and/or solutions if weaknesses are found. The results showed that based on social cognitive theory, in order for the Disaster Safe Education Unit (DSEU) program to realize its main objectives, there needs to be mutual interaction between students' personal selves, the behavior of school leaders, teachers and parents, and the environment that represents disaster resilience. Because social cognitive theory believes that students will imitate the habits of school leaders, teachers and parents. Therefore, school leaders, teachers and parents who behave in a disaster resilient manner will be recorded and implemented by students. The results of students' recording of the behavior of teachers and parents, then supported by a disaster resilient environment, will produce a generation that is resilient to disasters.

Abstract

Pada makalah ini akan dibahas mengenai analisis resiko gempa bumi di kabupaten bantul. Penelitian sebelumnya, membahas bencana gempa bumi yang lalu, yaitu Gempa Bantul 2006 mengakibatkan kerugian yang sangat besar dikarenakan banyak bangunan rusak bahkan hancur. Struktur yang tidak dapat menahan kekuatan guncangan tertentu akibat gempa bumi mengakibatkan bangunan masyarakat mudah hancur. Sehingga menurut penulis menjadi penting untuk memperkirakan dampak guncangan yang dapat ditimbulkan oleh gempa bumi di masa 50 tahun dan 100 tahun mendatang. Metode yang digunakan adalah PHSA (Probabilistic Hazard Seismic Risk Analysis) dan DHSA (Deterministic Hazard Seismic Risk Analysis) yaitu untuk menghitung percepatan tanah puncak dan probabilitas kemungkinan terlampauinya percepatan getaran tanah. Hasil yang didapat diketahui bahwa Bantul merupakan daerah yang termasuk dalam kategori bahaya terhadap gempa bumi dengan probabilitas diatas 15%.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the level of disaster vulnerability in the Wonolelo tourist village area using spatial analysis with an overlay method of several factors causing disaster vulnerability. The location of Wonolelo Village on the slopes of Mount Merapi with a rather steep to steep topography makes Wonolelo Village very vulnerable to landslides and the eruption of Mount Merapi. The research results show that Wonolelo Village has a high vulnerability to volcanic disasters (63.71%) and medium vulnerability to landslides (99.12%). The findings of this research can be used to inform disaster mitigation policies and strategies in Wonolelo Village and other vulnerable areas.

Abstract

SMK Kristen Surakarta menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan daya tarik dan memperkuat citra sekolah akibat persaingan ketat dengan SMK lain serta persepsi negatif masyarakat. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan pengabdian masyarakat dengan strategi penguatan branding melalui sosialisasi literasi digital dan pelatihan teknologi Virtual Reality (VR). Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman digital siswa serta kemampuan mereka dalam menggunakan VR sebagai media promosi sekolah. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi penyuluhan interaktif, pelatihan teknis, dan evaluasi dengan pretest serta posttest. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap literasi digital sebesar 92%, integrasi VR dalam promosi sebesar 94%, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 96%. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan digital dan pemanfaatan teknologi VR, yang diharapkan berdampak pada citra positif dan daya tarik SMK Kristen Surakarta di masyarakat.

Abstract

The quality of human resources can be improved through education. The Islamic University of Indonesia provides various selection patterns for prospective new students, one of which is PBT. Questions in PBT need to be analyzed to get quality students. The length of time to analyze the performance of questions that include the level of difficulty, distinguishing power, and distractor effectiveness in PBT Period 2 2020-2021 UII is one of the reasons for making computer programs using Microsoft Excel 2013. The methods used are simple random sampling and One-Way ANOVA analysis. The results of this study can make it easier to process data and analyze the performance of the questions with the help of the OASIS application which can be used as material for future evaluation. Analysis of the performance of the questions is classified as very difficult and difficult at the level of difficulty, the category is bad on the distinguishing power, and the effectiveness of the distractor is functioning properly, and there is one of the scores obtained by the test takers from three types of questions with the choice of the Faculty of Medicine and not choosing the Faculty of Medicine of UII which has the average is different from the others.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan tutup bak dan deflektor angin terhadap koefisien drag (Cd) pada truk menggunakan simulasi terowongan angin. Penelitian meliputi empat konfigurasi: truk tanpa modifikasi, truk dengan tutup bak, truk dengan deflektor angin, dan kombinasi keduanya. Variabel bebas meliputi jenis modifikasi dan kecepatan angin (7 m/s, 8,5 m/s, 10 m/s), sedangkan variabel yang terikat adalah nilai koefisien drag (Cd). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi tutup bak dan deflektor angin memberikan penurunan Cd paling signifikan hingga 34% dibandingkan kondisi tanpa modifikasi, diikuti oleh penggunaan individu tutup bak (16%) dan deflektor angin (24%). Penurunan CD ini mengurangi gaya drag secara signifikan, meningkatkan efisiensi aerodinamika, serta mengurangi konsumsi bahan bakar. Dengan demikian, modifikasi ini direkomendasikan sebagai solusi praktis untuk meningkatkan efisiensi kendaraan niaga dan mendukung ekosistem.
