Abstract

This study aims to analyze sansivera fiber-reinforced composite materials with a polyester resin matrix and treat sansivera fibers against alkaline NaOH liquids with levels of 4%,7%,10%,13% and 15%.in this study for experimental design using the hand lay-up method,which aims to analyze experimental data,and is also used to determine the minimum number of experiments that can be obtained and provide infotmation on factors that influence parameters.The experiments were carried out through 1)composite manufacturing method,2)immersion with alkaline NaOH,3)fiber tensile test method,4)microstructure test method,5)composite tensile test methods.the results of research on tensile test of fibers from the soaking process with alkaline NaOH 4%,7%,10%,13% and 15%,get the best results in the 15% NaOH alkaline immersion process. From results of the tensile test the fibers will be formed into 7 composite specimens, from the composite tensile test the maximum tensile strength is obtained on specimen 5 with 40% treatment of 45,71 N/mm2 and the highest elongation obtained on specimen 4 with 30% treatment of 3,95mm.

Abstract

This study investigates a food manufacturing firm's efforts to enhance operational efficiency by optimizing its maintenance strategy and spare parts management within the context of noodle production. The research focuses on reducing prolonged machine downtimes caused by boiler malfunctions, which negatively impact production targets. A novel approach combining total minimum downtime calculations and a hybrid corrective-preventive maintenance methodology has been proposed. To bolster this initiative, an efficient spare parts procurement scheme was implemented. Results demonstrate a substantial reduction in unplanned downtime following implementation, thereby improving overall productivity and profitability. Implications highlight the potential for widespread application across similar industries seeking to minimize disruptions while maximizing equipment lifetimes. highlight : Reduced downtime through improved boiler maintenance. Hybrid corrective-preventive maintenance for efficient operations. Optimized spare parts procurement for enhanced productivity. Abstract

This study investigates the risk levels and potential for work accidents in manufacturing processes involving heavy equipment like lathes, which often lead to accidents due to non-compliance with safety regulations. Employing job safety analysis (JSA), the research aims to minimize accidents by assessing risk levels and proposing comprehensive Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage for workers. Results reveal that the welding process's failure mode severity is rated at 2, while lathe-related accidents, particularly exposure to debris, have the highest occurrence and effect analysis at 6. Limited PPE availability contributes to a low failure mode detection and effect analysis score of 7. This study underscores the critical need for implementing stringent safety measures to mitigate workplace accidents in manufacturing settings. Highlights : Comprehensive assessment: Utilizing job safety analysis (JSA), the study provides a detailed evaluation of potential work accidents in manufacturing processes, focusing on heavy equipment usage. Risk mitigation: The research emphasizes the importance of implementing stringent safety measures, including the complete utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to minimize the occurrence of workplace accidents. Importance of compliance: Non-compliance with safety regulations, particularly regarding the use of PPE and adherence to K3 regulations, significantly increases the risk of work accidents, leading to disruptions in production processes. Abstract

In the realm of backup power sources, maintaining the efficiency of generators is paramount for ensuring reliability and availability during power outages. This study aims to evaluate generator efficiency through routine maintenance analysis, adhering to regulatory frameworks outlined in regulations such as Regulation No. 29 of 2012 and Electricity Law No. 30 of 2009. By employing methods including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and assessing Actual Operating Time (AOT) against Specified Operating Time (SOT), this research determines the availability and compliance of each generator. Results highlight the importance of stringent regulatory compliance in enhancing the functionality and reliability of generators, thereby emphasizing the significance of routine maintenance for improved operational health. Highlight : Adherence to regulatory frameworks ensures operational compliance and reliability. Routine maintenance analysis enhances generator efficiency and availability. Availability assessment methods such as MTBF and AOT provide insights into operational health. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the power, torque and fuel consumption of a Kawasaki Athlete motorcycle engine with a standard engine comparison, bore up of 0.50 mm, bore up of 1.00 mm, and bore up of 1.50 mm. The testing process uses a dynotes engine. With Pertamax fuel type. From the results of research that has been done, the performance has increased compared to the performance on a standard engine. The highest power is found in the 1.50 mm bore up variation of 10,2 Hp, the lowest power is found in the standard engine of 3,5 Hp. The highest torque is found in the 1.50 mm bore up variation of 10,31 N.m, the lowest torque is found in the standard engine of 3,40 N.m. For fuel consumption in each variation of the bore up has increased.

Abstract

This study was aimed to depict the characteristics of women's vulnerability, as well as to study and analyze their efforts to reduce the disaster risk of Merapi eruption. This research is a survey research using descriptive quantitative method. The results showed that women were vulnerable in terms of their financial security, particularly due to their lack of bank saving, protection in the place of business, land, and residence. Their social vulnerability was shown by how most of the women and elderly people in the households of the area under study required protection when disaster occurred. The vulnerability in organizations was due to the lack of organizations to care for the women.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine and describe the evaluation of character education in SMP Negeri 3 Air Kumbang. The research used in this research is the evaluation of the CIPP model. The primary data sources were from the first informants, namely the principal, homeroom teacher, teacher, students and parents of students of SMP Negeri 3 Air Kumbang. Data collection tools are observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires. The results of the study can be concluded that the attitudes and behavior of students who show on the religious side, the inculcation of character about honest behavior in students is 86.25% and declared successful, the attitudes and behavior of students who show the character of discipline on average the percentage is 46.25% Thus it can be concluded that the character planting of discipline in students is 80% declared successful, the attitudes and behavior of students who show their concern for the environment have an average percentage of success, those there were 13.75% and "Not visible" there were 12.5%. This success can be seen from the attitudes and behavior of the children which are reflected in the results of the observation sheets in the form; religious attitude, honesty, discipline, environmental care.

Abstract

Composites with natural fiber reinforcement have special characteristics that imitation fibers do not have. Sansevieria fiber as one of the producers of good quality natural fiber, as research has been done, has good potential to be developed. This study discusses the manufacture and characteristics of plant fiber composites (sensevieria) with a polyester matrix using the hand lay up method. This composite uses a volume fraction of 30% with woven fiber treatment and NaOH immersion as much as 0%, 4%, 7%, 10%, 13%, and 15% for 4 hours at room temperature. In this research, it is aimed to determine the mechanical properties of this composite by performing a tensile test, with the standard ASTM D638 – 03. namely: the highest tensile strength was found in the 10% NaOH immersion variable with a volume fraction of 30% matrix, amounting to 12.855 N/mm2. So that the best strain value is 0.105 in the specimen with 15% NaOH immersion and the highest elastic modulus value is found in the fiber with 4% immersion, which is 201.5 N/mm2

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh UMKM pengusaha makanan dan kerajinan tangan yang berada di desa tambakrejo semarang, belum optimal dalam memasarkan produknya karena hanya mengandalkan model pemasaran konvensional yaitu dengan menawarkan dari pintu ke pintu dan memajang hasil usahanya di tempat masing-masing.Kemajuan teknologi yang terus berkembang, berdampak pada perubahan cara masyarakat dalam menjalani kehidupannya, hampir semua aspek di dalam kehidupan saat ini sudah berinteraksi dengan kemajuan teknologi. Abstract

Jenang Al Husna memiliki 12 karyawan, beroperasi dari pukul 08.00 sampai 16.00 menggunakan sistem borongan. Memiliki kapasitas produksi 300 Kg perhari, gabungan dari beras ketan, santan, dan gula aren. Proses pembuatan jenang, bahan direbus bersamaan dan diaduk selama 4 jam sampai mengental, jenang yang sudah matang, didinginkan selama 24 jam, selanjutnya dilakukan pemotongan dan pengemasan. Permasalahan mitra dalam produksi adalah, 1) Pemotongan jenang dilakukan secara manual sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama dan tidak akurat dalam ukuran tiap potong jenang, 2) Kapasitas produksi tidak memenuhi permintaan pasar, 3) Tidak memiliki standard operating procedure. Solusi yang diberikan kepada mitra pada PKM ini adalah 1) Membuat mesin pemotong jenang untuk meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi produksi, 2) Membuat kemasan produk untuk meningkatkan nilai barang. 3) Membuat Standard Operational Procedure melalui Forum Group Discussion. Luaran dari PKM ini adalah kapasitas produksi meningkat sebesar 65%, kualitas produk lebih baik dan peningkatan pengelolaan manajemen operasional.
