Abstract

This study aims to find out the errors in solving the story questions about the circumference and area of flat shapes based on Newman Error Analysis in fourth grade students of SD Negeri Joho 01 Sukoharjo District in terms of field dependent and field independent cognitive styles. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects of this study consisted of 4 students. Research subjects were selected using purposive sampling. Research subjects were selected based on the results of the GEFT test. Data collection methods in this study were tests, interviews, and documents. The test given is 5 questions about the circumference and area of the plane. Data validation was carried out using triangulation techniques, namely comparing the data from the written test results with interviews that were equipped with documents from students. Data analysis used the Newman Error Analysis method. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it shows that the errors in solving story problems in students with field dependent tend to be the same as students with field independent cognitive style. There are 4 types of errors, namely comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skills errors, and encoding errors. The mistakes made by students with field dependent are more than students with field independent cognitive style.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and find out the causes of errors made by students in solving mathematical problems in the form of story questions with speed, distance, and time material based on the level of logical mathematical intelligence. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a case study approach. The data sources of this research include the results of the logical-mathematical intelligence test, the results of the speed, distance, and time story test results, the results of student interviews, and the results of classroom teacher interviews. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling. Data was collected by using test and interview techniques. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that students who had high logical mathematical intelligence made mistakes in carrying out the completion plan according to Polya's steps. Students with logical-mathematical intelligence are making mistakes in formulating plans, carrying out completion plans and re-checking answers. Students who have low logical-mathematical intelligence make more mistakes in understanding the problem, compiling a settlement plan, implementing a settlement plan, and re-examining the answers according to Polya's steps. The causes of errors made by students are that students have not mastered multiplication and division, students have not fully understood the material, and students tend to be unfamiliar with re-examining answers.

Abstract

Abstract. Case study on types of ecosystem materials of science learning tasks during the COVID-19 pandemic (for class v students at SSDN Pajang 4 surakarta). This research is included in the type of qualitative research with descriptive qualitative methods and case study. The subjects of this study were students, teachers, and parents. Validity testing was used source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study concluded that the type of science learning task on ecosystem materials was observing tasks, namely reading materials to obtain information about ecosystem materials. Communication tasks include reading the food chain and reporting assignments in writing. The task of grouping was to find differences and similarities between symbiosis. This type of predicting task asked students to predict events that will occur if a component changes in the food chain. Constraints encountered by students are student discipline problems when working, facilities constraints, some students still use parental devices, and finally the lack of understanding of ecosystem material. The average student assignment score is 82.5, with 63% getting a score above the KKM. Keywords: Types of assignments, Sciences, Elementary School

Primary data were obtained directly from grade V students and teachers at Mangkuyudan elementary school Surakarta, while secondary data was in the form of documents of student work, teacher notes, and official documents in writing at Mangkuyudan elementary school which had a relationship with the focus of the research problem. Sources of data in this study were students of class V which consisted of 28 students as the research sample. The data collection technique was done by using questionnaires, interviews, and study documentation. The data validity test technique used source triangulation and technique triangulation. The data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis by Miles and Huberman's model, namely interactive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the students' listening skills are good, as evidenced by the class average score that has met the minimum completeness criteria. With the details that the value on numeration, namely mathematics, is lower than the value of other subject matter. The implication of this research is to increase the creativity of teachers to determine variations in methods, strategies, and effective media in online learning during the pandemic

Abstract

This study aims to describe learning planning in the implementation of the independent curriculum. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. The results of teacher and principal interviews, planning observations, and documentation became the data in this study. Data collection techniques using the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation Data validity using the triangulation. technique. Data analysis techniques use data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusions. The results of this study show that learning planning is important so that learning can run systematically. Teacher learning planning is involved in the implementation of the independent curriculum, namely the formulation of learning objectives, the preparation of learning objectives flows, and the preparation of teaching modules. The teacher has not prepared a mature and clear assessment. The theoretical implications of this research can add scientific information related to lesson planning in the implementation of the independent curriculum. The practical implications of this research are as input for teachers and prospective teachers in carrying out effective planning in accordance with the independent curriculum procedures in order to achieve the expected goals.
