Abstract

This research aims to develop web-based student activity sheets (e-LAS) designed to enhance literacy skills by adapting the Ratu Agung folklor into short stories. The development process employed the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through interview, observation, and evaluation stages, and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The study involved 10th-grade students at Athalla Putra Health Vocation School in Palembang. The expert evaluation of final e-LAS product yielded scores of 79,54 (good) for content relevance, 92,50 (very good) for presentation, and 91,66 (very good) for language, with an overall average of 87,90. Initial trials revealed that students were unfamiliar with analyzing and extracting information for complete text. Nonetheless, 84,61% of students achived the set learning objectives, indicating a high level of product effectiveness. These results suggest that the developed e-LAS can serve as a valuable aternative instruction tool to support literacy development and foster students’ creativity through culturally rooted literary expressions.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and evaluate the practicality of interactive Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) to support increasing students' reasoning competence toward reading literacy in a tourism context via the Blogspot platform. This research is development research that combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. The method used is the Jolly and Bolitho development method. Steps taken include the following: (1) identifying material needs, (2) exploring needs, (3) contextual realization, (4) pedagogical realization, (5) material products, and (6) evaluating material according to objectives. This research involved Indonesian language teachers and 62 seventh-grade students at SMPN 20 Palembang as the research subjects. Data collection methods use interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Qualitative data analysis uses a descriptive approach, while qualitative data is analyzed using Likert scale calculations. The results of distributing the needs analysis questionnaire to students indicated that 60.32% strongly agreed, while 33.44% agreed to develop E-LKPD. Product validation was carried out by three validators, namely content validators, content suitability, and language, with a total validation value of 86.67% (very valid). The product feasibility test scored 89.16% (very practical) in the small group test. The effectiveness test for E-LKPD relied on pretest results, which averaged 61.42, and posttest results, averaging 74.85. There was a significant increase in the 2-tailed results (0.000<0.5). The results indicate that the developed E-LKPD can enhance students' reading literacy skills.

Abstract

One of the most crucial competencies for educators is the ability to create meaningful and effective learning experiences. This research aims to develop and implement learning tools—specifically lesson plans and textbooks—using the Case approach for a Student Development course. The study employs Rowntree’s development model, consisting of three main stages: planning, development, and iterative evaluation with revisions based on expert input and trial results. The lesson plans developed in this study achieved a strong average validity score of 4.57, indicating a high level of alignment with learning objectives and curriculum standards. The textbooks that support the lesson plan were also validated, scoring 3.98 in terms of design and 4.203 for content quality, both considered valid to very valid. Practicality testing involved both individual and group trials, demonstrating that the materials are user-friendly, applicable, and effective in classroom settings. To assess effectiveness, students’ critical thinking skills were measured before and after the implementation. Results showed a significant increase, with pre-test scores averaging 61.6 and post-test scores reaching 91.8, yielding an N-gain of 0.786, which is classified as high. These findings demonstrate that Case-based learning tools can foster student engagement, contextual understanding, and higher-order thinking skills, making them highly effective for educational use in similar contexts.
