Abstract

Social skills are indispensable in building social relationships between people. Because social relationships are a fundamental indicator of social beings. This study aims to find out the picture of students who experience bipolar disorder, solutions in overcoming it, and the influence on their social behavior relationships in the campus environment. This study has criteria in determining the subject or participant of the research, namely at least 18 years old, diagnosed bipolar, and having the status of a student. The research uses qualitative research methods, with data collection in the form of literature studies and interviews with FS participants and validity using method triangulation techniques and source triangulation. As well as to analyze the data that has been collected using qualitative content analysis techniques. Based on interviews and observations show that individuals with bipolar disorder show changes in their social interactions in the campus environment when bipolar appears, and experience obstacles in improving their social skills so that they tend to stay away from their social environment. This study also shows a strong indication if individuals with bipolar disorder have a desire to harm themselves (self-harm). AbstrakKeterampilan sosial sangat diperlukan dalam membangun hubungan sosial antar manusia. Disebabkan hubungan sosial merupakan indikator fundamental sebagai makhluk sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran mahasiswa yang mengalami kondisi gangguan bipolar, solusi dalam mengatasi tersebut, dan pengaruh bagi hubungan perilaku sosialnya dalam lingkungan kampus. Penelitian ini memiliki kriteria dalam menentukan subjek atau partisipan penelitian, yaiu berusia minimal 18 tahun, terdiagnosis bipolar, serta berstatus sebagai mahasiswa. Adapun penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur dan wawancara kepada partisipan FS dan melakukan validitas menggunakan teknik triangulasi metode dan triangulasi sumber. Serta untuk menganalisis data yang telah terkumpul menggunakan teknik analisis isi kualitatif. Berdasarkan wawancara dan observasi menunjukkan bahwa individu dengan kondisi gangguan bipolar menunjukan perubahan interaksi sosialnya di lingkungan kampus pada saat bipolar itu muncul, serta mengalami hambatan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosialya sehingga cenderung menjauh dari lingkungan sosialnya. Dalam penelitian ini juga memperlihatkan indikasi yang kuat jika individu yang mengalami gangguan bipolar memiliki keinginan untuk melukai dirinya sendiri (self-harm).

Abstract

Parents play a big role in providing parenting patterns for children. This parenting pattern can affect one of the child's attitudes, namely aggressive behavior. Aggressive behavior includes physical aggression, verbal aggression, angry aggression, and hostility. This study aims to examine authoritarian parenting, which based on many previous studies, is one of the factors that trigger aggressive behavior in adolescents. The method used is through qualitative methods including observation of subjects with authoritarian parenting patterns and interviews. In this study, two samples consisting of subjects and informants were used as supporting data... The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively. The interviews were semi-structured and conducted by means of a series of closed themes and some prepared questions; from the results of this study, it was found that authoritarian parenting encourages aggressive attitudes in adolescents. This is concluded from the subject's parenting pattern which meets the criteria of authoritarian parenting, as well as the subject's tendency to commit aggressive acts as a consequence of the parenting pattern. AbstrakOrang tua berperan besar dalam memberikan pola pengasuhan pada anak. Pola pengasuhan ini dapat berpengaruh ke salah satu sikap anak, yaitu perilaku agresif. Perilaku agresif yang dimaksud meliputi agresi fisik, agresi verbal, agresi marah, dan sikap permusuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pola asuh otoriter, yang berdasarkan banyak penelitian sebelumnya, menjadi salah satu faktor pemicu perilaku agresif pada remaja. Metode yang digunakan adalah melalui metode kualitatif meliputi observasi terhadap partisipan dengan pola pengasuhan otoriter dan wawancara. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan dua sampel yang terdiri atas partisipan dan informan sebagai data pendukung.. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Wawancara dilakukan secara semi-struktur, dilakukan dengan cara serangkaian tema tertutup dan beberapa pertanyaan yang telah disiapkan, Dari hasil penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa pola asuh otoriter mendorong sikap agresif pada remaja. Hal ini disimpulkan dari pola pengasuhan partisipan yang memenuhi kriteria dari pola pengasuhan otoriter, serta kecenderungan partisipan untuk melakukan tindakan-tindakan agresif sebagai konsekuensi dari pola pengasuhan tersebut.

Abstract

The term depression is not something new today. Depression is an emotional disorder characterized by an individual's reduced interest in something. One of the causes of depression is related to social media. This research aims to examine the role of social media use in students who have experienced depression. This research uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview methods. The selection of research participants was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The criteria for participants were 1) students at the State University of Malang, 2) who had a history of depression, and 3) who were willing to be interviewed based on the criteria obtained by two research subjects. The data analysis technique used is thematic data analysis. Thematic analysis is one way to analyze data to identify patterns or find themes through data that has been collected by researchers. The interview process was carried out with participant 1 and participant 2 on Wednesday, November 22 2023. The research results showed that 1) social media has an impact on depression and 2) There is no definite pattern of relationship between the intensity of social media use and depression.

Abstract

Bullying is a social phenomenon because it has become a prevalent issue among adolescents and society at large. It is characterized by aggressive behavior, often in the form of repeated and intentional oppression by an individual or group using their power to harm those perceived as weaker. This phenomenon has detrimental consequences for victims, both physically and psychologically. Most bullying victims experience more psychological effects, such as anxiety, decreased self-esteem, and impaired interpersonal relationships. Therefore, this study explores the characteristics of bullying behaviors and their impact on victims. The qualitative research method was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews for data collection. Subjects in this study were 2 people. The findings reveal that the bullying experiences of the participants originated during their school years and were perpetrated by their peers. These experiences hurt both participants, causing physical and psychological harm, leading to decreased self-esteem and difficulties or lingering fear in establishing social relationships, particularly friendships. AbstrakFenomena perundungan/bullying sering sekali terjadi dikalangan remaja dan masyarakat. Perilaku perundungan sendiri merupakan tindakan agresif, atau dikenal dengan bentuk penindasan yang dilakukan berulang dan sengaja oleh seseorang maupun sekelompok orang dengan menggunakan kekuasan mereka untuk menyakiti orang yang lemah. Adanya fenomena perundungan ini, akan memberikan dampak negatif terhadap korban baik itu dampak fisik maupun dampak secara psikologis. Kebanyakan dari korban bullying mengalami dampak psikologis lebih banyak seperti kecemasan, kepercayaan diri yang menurun, serta berpengaruh pada hubungan interpersonalnya dengan orang lain. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku perundungan dan dampaknya terhadap korban perundungan. Adapun metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara. Partisipan penelitian ini terdiri dari dua orang. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa pengalaman perundungan dialami oleh korban sejak sekolah dan itu dilakukan oleh teman sebayanya. Selain itu, hal ini membawa dampak negatif bagi kedua narasumber yakni dampak fisik dan psikologis yang membuat korban mengalami penurunan kepercayaan diri dan sulit ataupun masih takut untuk melakukan relasi sosial terutama dalam relasi pertemanan.

Abstract

Studying and carrying out academic activities undertaken by students is inseparable from academic stress. Academic problems, such as many assignments, pressure during exams, and a low GPA, cause this academic stress. Stress experienced by students will cause various responses that cause individuals to have different coping mechanisms. This study aims to discover the importance of coping mechanisms when facing stressful situations and the difference between problem-focused and emotional-focused coping. This research uses qualitative methods through observation and interviews, and then data analysis is carried out using descriptive analysis techniques. This research includes two aspects, in the first aspect, namely problem-focused coping, the subject uses coping strategies actively, seeking instrumental support, releasing behavior, making positive meaning, and planning. Meanwhile, in the second aspect, namely emotion-focused coping, the subject expresses emotions, distracts himself, goes into denial, uses substances, and seeks emotional support, entertainment, acceptance, religiosity, and self-blame. The research results provide an understanding that there are various coping strategies used by students in dealing with academic stress situations, where each student has different strategies and cannot be the same. AbstrakProses menuntut ilmu dan melaksanakan aktivitas akademik yang dijalani oleh mahasiswa tidak terlepas dari yang namanya stress akademik. Stress akademik ini dikarenakan beberapa permasalahan akademik, seperti tugas yang banyak, tertekan saat akan menjalani ujian, dan IPK yang rendah. Stress yang dialami mahasiswa nantinya menimbulkan berbagai respon yang menyebabkan individu mempunyai coping mechanism yang berbeda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pentingnya memiliki coping mechanism ketika menghadapi situasi stres dan mengetahui perbedaan antara problem-focused coping dan emotion-focused coping. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui observasi dan wawancara yang kemudian dilakukan analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Penelitian ini meliputi dua aspek, pada aspek pertama yaitu problem-focused coping, subjek menggunakan strategi coping secara aktif, mencari dukungan instrumental, pelepasan perilaku, memaknai secara positif, dan perencanaan. Sedangkan pada aspek kedua yaitu emotion-focused coping, subjek meluapkan emosi, mengalihkan diri, melakukan penyangkalan, penggunaan zat, mencari dukungan emosional, hiburan, penerimaan, religius, dan menyalahkan diri. Hasil penelitian memberikan pemahaman bahwa terdapat beragam strategi coping yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa dalam menghadapi situasi stres akademik, dimana setiap mahasiswa memiliki strategi yang berbeda-beda dan tidak dapat disamakan.

Abstract

New challenges due to major changes in early adulthood such as changing environments, academic demands, and pressures in building personal identity are the main triggers for intense feelings of fear of missing out (FoMO). FoMO creates anxiety about being left behind from important experiences in social life, triggering feelings of anxiety and lack of life satisfaction because individuals feel marginalized from valuable moments that are considered important by their social environment. The urge to engage in various activities and expand social networks becomes a source of pressure if unable to participate in these moments. This study aims to identify and understand FoMO in relation to anxiety in early adulthood and the factors that influence it. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a structured interview method on two early adult subjects who have experienced FoMO. The results of this study indicate that dependence on social media among 19-25 year olds gives rise to fear of missing out (FoMO), which creates feelings of anxiety, self-comparison, and fear of missing out on information, with the impact of feelings of loneliness and psychological stress. AbstrakTantangan baru karena perubahan besar pada dewasa awal seperti pergantian lingkungan, tuntutan akademis, dan tekanan dalam membangun identitas pribadi menjadi pemicu utama perasaan fear of missing out (FoMO) yang intens. FoMO menciptakan kecemasan akan tertinggal dari pengalaman-pengalaman penting dalam kehidupan sosial, memicu perasaan cemas dan kurangnya kepuasan hidup karena individu merasa terpinggirkan dari momen-momen berharga yang dianggap penting oleh lingkungan sosial mereka. Dorongan untuk terlibat dalam berbagai kegiatan dan memperluas jejaring sosial menjadi sumber tekanan jika tidak mampu ikut serta dalam momen-momen tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan memahami FoMO kaitannya dengan kecemasan pada dewasa awal dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode wawancara terstruktur pada dua subjek dewasa awal yang pernah mengalami FoMO. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketergantungan pada media sosial di kalangan usia 19-25 tahun memunculkan fear of missing out (FoMO), yang menciptakan rasa cemas, perbandingan diri, dan ketakutan ketinggalan informasi, dengan dampak berupa perasaan kesepian dan tekanan psikologis.

Abstract

Anxiety disorders are serious challenges that can affect a person's psychological and emotional well-being. This issue is further complicated by the emergence of unique challenges such as academic pressure, social relationships, and the influence of social media, all of which can influence or worsen a person's anxiety. This anxiety disorder arises due to many factors, both internal and external factors. Cognitive therapy is an approach used to help overcome various types of anxiety. This article aims to evaluate the effectiveness of cognitive therapy in treating a person's anxiety. The method used is a literature review method using a cognitive therapy approach, which involves someone who experiences a level of anxiety. The therapy process involves identifying negative thought patterns, developing positive cognitive strategies, strengthening adaptive behavior, and replacing negative beliefs about the self, as well as promoting positive behavior. The results of this study show that cognitive therapy can reduce a person's anxiety level. Individuals show significant improvements in overcoming negative beliefs and developing more positive thought patterns, creating a more solid foundation for their psychological well-being. AbstrakGangguan kecemasan merupakan tantangan serius yang dapat mempengaruhi kesejahteran psikologis dan emosional seseorang. Masalah ini semakin kompleks dengan munculnya tantangan unik seperti tekanan akademis, hubungan sosial, dan pengaruh media sosial yang semuanya dapat mempengaruhi atau memperburuk kecemasan seseorang. Gangguan kecemasan ini muncul karena banyak faktor baik faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal. Terapi kognitif menjadi metode pendekatan yang digunakan untuk membantu mengatasi berbagai jenis kecemasan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas terapi kognitif dalam mengatasi kecemasan seseorang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan tinjauan Pustaka atau literature review, sebuah pendekatan sistematis, jelas, dan dapat di reproduksi untuk mengidentifikasi, mengevaluasi, dan menyintesis karya-karya penelitian serta gagasan yang sudah ada dari peneliti dan praktisi yang membahas tentang terapi kognitif dalam mengatasi gangguan kecemasan dengan menggunakan pendekatan terapi kognitif, yang melibatkan seseorang yang mengalami tingkat kecemasan. Proses terapi melibatkan identifikasi pola pikir negatif, pengembangan strategi kognitif positif, penguatan perilaku adaptif, dan mengganti kepercayaan negatif tentang diri, serta mempromosikan perilaku positif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terapi kognitif dalam mengurangi tingkat kecemasan seseorang. Seseorang menunjukkan perbaikan signifikan dalam mengatasi keyakinan negatif dan mengembangkan pola pikir yang lebih positif, menciptakan dasar yang lebih kokoh untuk kesejahteraan psikologis mereka.

Abstract

Person's personality can affect what they might do in response to a particular circumstance or event. According to the study's findings, personality has an impact on a person's behavior, including their career decisions. Based on these conclusions, we want to identify the root cause by examining the impact of personality on interest in general election lectures based on gender and sex. 354 Senior High School students who were getting ready for university selection made up the study's sample. Respondents in the study This is student class XII (Science and Social Sciences) at school Senior High School (SMA) in South Kalimantan. Data were retrieved for more than 2 months and were nonparametric data. Collected data will be analyzed using analysis Chi-Square. The result shows that there wasn"™t a significant influence between gender and personality to interest in election major lectures to students"™ Senior High School. Besides, it is also shown that the percentage proportion highest interest student men nor women is type work Medical (MED) (28.2%). Whereas type work with enthusiasts smallest is Outdoor, Mechanical, and Practical (1.4%). Based on the findings on these research is known that interest is not only influenced by someone"™s gender nor personality

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the concept of implementing the role of the PAI teacher in the formation of religious character, to describe the role of the PAI teacher in the formation of the religious character of students, this research uses a qualitative approach. Methods of collecting interview data and documentation sourced from secondary data. The results of the study 1) the role of the PAI teacher in shaping student character through classical, 2) the exemplary displayed by the PAI teacher through attitudes in the learning process, supervision, direction and motivation of the service process. The conclusion of this study is that the teacher's role in cultivating religious character has been maximized by using the role of educator as well as teaching by taking the time.

Abstract

This study examines the role of teacher personality competence in enhancing students' resilience and character at SMP Al-Wasliyah 31 Medan. Teacher personality competence is an essential factor in shaping students' emotional and psychological development. The research focuses on how teachers' personal qualities, including empathy, communication skills, and emotional intelligence, contribute to fostering a positive learning environment and improving students' resilience. The study employed a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and observations involving teachers, students, and school management. The findings highlight that teacher personality competence significantly influences students' resilience, self-confidence, and moral development, ultimately contributing to a better learning atmosphere and stronger character formation. This research emphasizes the need for schools to invest in teacher development programs that enhance personal competencies to better support students’ holistic growth.
