Abstract

Character education values ​​are currently very much needed by students. The goal is none other than to be able to imitate the success of the previous Sholeh people. Therefore, this study will analyze the Character Education Values ​​taught by Sholeh Darat. The primary reference in this article is the Book of Faidhur Rahman by Sholeh Darat, and is also assisted by various scientific works that are in accordance with the theme. This type of research is Library Research with a Descriptive Analysis Character Study approach. The theory that the author uses is Julia Kristeva's Intertextuality. The purpose of this study is to understand the thoughts of a figure and what is applied from those thoughts. The results of this study are:1).The Characteristics of Sholeh Darat's Thoughts are Nationalist and Traditionalist Islamic. 2). The values ​​of character education instilled by Sholeh Darat are: Innovative, Multitalented, Optimistic, Humble, Honest, Compassionate, and Solidarity.

Abstract

This study aims to explore H.M. Arifin's thoughts on the integration of religious and rational values in Islamic education, as well as its application in modern education curriculum. Using a qualitative approach and literature study method, this research analyzes H.M. Arifin's works that outline the concept of education that not only prioritizes religious aspects, but also encourages critical and rational intellectual development among students. The findings show that this integration is very important in forming a generation that not only understands religion textually, but can also adapt to the development of science and technology. The religious-rational concept developed by Arifin contributes to the formation of individuals who have a balance between spirituality and intellectuality, and are able to face the challenges of an increasingly complex era. In addition, content analysis is used to find insights in the text or related visual data, while theoretical reflection and critical analysis strengthen a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon under study. This research reveals that the religious-rational approach has the potential to overcome the gap between religious and general knowledge that often occurs in Islamic educational institutions. This is expected to help form a generation that has a solid spiritual and intellectual balance, and is able to compete in the era of globalization without losing its Islamic identity. In Indonesia, the context of Islamic education faces considerable challenges, as many institutions separate religious and scientific knowledge, thus creating a gap in the way students understand religion and think critically. Therefore, the results of this study are also expected to provide strategic recommendations for Islamic education institutions in Indonesia to face the demands of the modern era. Through a religious-rational approach, educational institutions can integrate the value of faith with science, so that students not only excel in religious matters but also have critical thinking skills and abilities that are relevant in an increasingly complex multicultural society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemikiran Ibn Miskawaih tentang akhlak dan korelasinya sistem pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah library research (studi pustaka). Data primer yang digunakan adalah kitab Tahdzib al-Akhlak. Data sekunder diperoleh dari buku-buku dan artikel jurnal dan hasil-hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa konsep akhlak Ibnu Miskawaih yaitu doktrin jalan tengah sebagai yaitu arif, sederhana (yang diiringi sifat dermawan), berani (yang diiringi sifat sabar), dan adil. Tujuan pendidikan akhlah yaitu terwujudnya sikap batin yang mampu mendorong secara spontan bagi terciptanya semua perbuatan yang bernilai baik, sehingga mencapai kesempurnaan (teoritis dan praktis) dan memperoleh kebahagiaan yang sempurna (alsa‘ādah), mengendalikan nafsu dan marah, patuh kepada akal dan syariat, kemudian diiringi kerjasama (hidup) dengan kenikmatan (spiritual). Relevansi pemikiran Ibnu Miskwaih di era modern ini adalah bahwa pendidikan akhlak harus selalu di pegang teguh oleh pendidik dan peserta didik guna menghadapi segala tuntutan di era modern in. Proses kesesuaian antar agama dan pemikiran (religious-rasional) harus di langsungkan terus menerus untuk membangun struktur dan kultur kehidupan stabil dan damai yang bersendikan iman dan taqwa kepada Tuhan

Abstract

The research objectives are: 1. To analyze the internalization of religious values, teacher example, student honesty and student discipline in students at SDIT Al Huda, SDMPK and SDIU Al Amanah Kab. Wonogiri. 2. The influence of religious values, teacher example, honesty and discipline on social piety among students at SDIT Al Huda, SDMPK and SDIU Al Amanah Kab. Wonogiri.The research method is mixed method and correlational study, which is to test the hypothesis about the relationship between variables or to state the magnitude of the relationship between the two variables. The population in this study were 234 students of grade VI of SDIT Al Huda, SDMPK and SDIU Al Amanah, Wonogiri Regency. While the sample used was part of the total population of the study. The sampling of the study used a 5% error rate, according to Sugiyono, with a population of 234, the sample to be studied was 140 students. The data collection methods used were observation, questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique used was linear regression analysis.Research results: 1) Internalization of Religious Values, Teacher Exemplary, Student Honesty, and Student Discipline in Students at SDIT Al Huda, SDMPK and SDIU Al Amanah Kab. Wonogiri has gone through various adaptations. 2) There is a significant influence of religious values, teacher example, honesty and discipline on social piety among students at SDIT Al Huda, SDMPK and SDIU Al Amanah Kab. Wonogiri, the higher a student's character value, the better their level of social sobriety.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze Harun Nasution's thoughts regarding religious-rational Islamic education and its relevance to the world of contemporary Islamic education. This research uses a type of library research (Library Research) where the researcher tries to collect library data, read, take notes, and process various information about Harun Nasution's thoughts regarding education and its relevance to the modern world, especially in Indonesia, through various related sources. The results of this research are explaining Harun Nasution's thoughts regarding Rational Islam with the aim of deepening the teachings of the Islamic religion through the use of rational religious thinking so that he is able to adapt to current developments and be able to solve problems, as well as explaining Harun Nasution's thoughts which emphasize the importance of moral aspects to be instilled in students who aims to shape student behavior and morals that are in line with Islamic teachings

Abstract

Many theories are developing in understanding the educational goals. However, not all theories can examine how human develop optimally along with all their potentials. So, there is a need for discussion of the concept of development of Islamic education through the comparative analysis of the theory of Fitrah in Islam and the theories of Nativism, Empiricism and Convergence as the theoretical basis which aims to understand better Islamic education and contribute to its further conceptual development. To this end, this study offers a comparative analysis of the theory of Fitrah in Islam and theories of Nativism, Empiricism and Convergence to search for the construction of Islamic education development. The study uses a library research method which is descriptive-analysis in nature while its analysis uses content-analysis. The primary book source of this study is Yasien Muhammad’s book, Fitrah: The Islamic Concept of Human Nature and Murtadha Muthahari’s Al-Fitrah, translated into Indonesian by Afif Muhammad as “Bedah Tuntas Fitrah”. In term of the role of God in developing human beings’ potentials (fitrah), this research found that: First, God is the driving force (Causa Prima). Second, God develops human nature genetically. The research also found that the construction of development of Islamic education based on the theory of Fitrah has two functions: first, Islamic education is an antidote of secularism in the world of Islamic education. Second, it seeks to shape a quality or civilized human being according to the Qur'anic values.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehend Fazlur Rahman's educational philosophy and its relevance to the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. Employing a literature review approach and qualitative descriptive method, the primary source is Ahmad Suryadi's book (2020) on Fazlur Rahman's educational philosophy, while secondary sources comprise relevant books and scholarly articles. Data collection techniques involve documentation, and data analysis employs the Milles and Huberman analysis technique, encompassing activities such as data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The research findings highlight three main concepts in Rahman's educational model: critical education, creativity, and morality, which bolster Islamic intellectualism and are pertinent to contemporary contexts. These concepts are congruent with the Merdeka Belajar concept, emphasizing student-centered learning, creativity, and the application of moral values, in accordance with Islamic principles. The relevance of Rahman's ideas to education in Indonesia demonstrates the compatibility of these concepts with the needs and context of education in the country, bolstered by various research studies.

Abstract

The title of this research is "The Role of Teachers in Enhancing Early Childhood Learning Interest." The purpose of this study is to explain how teachers contribute to increasing students' interest in learning. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The population in this study is referred to as a social situation, consisting of teachers and the school principal. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis. The research findings conclude that the teacher's role in increasing students' learning interest consists of three roles: innovator, facilitator, and motivator. As an innovator, the teacher continuously introduces new innovations in the learning process, specifically by implementing the dramatization method. Dramatization is an innovative learning method that can enhance students' interest in learning. As a facilitator, the teacher provides learning materials for students, helping to improve their learning interest. As a motivator, the teacher encourages students to engage in learning, fostering a strong and high level of learning interest.

Abstract

This article critically analyzes Harun Nasution's thought and its relevance to contemporary Islamic education. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) approach, this study examines the contribution of Harun Nasution’s rational-religious concept, particularly in responding to the challenges of globalization, social change, and technological advancement in the modern era. The findings reveal that Harun Nasution emphasizes the integration of reason and revelation, the opening of ijtihad, and character strengthening as the foundation for Islamic educational reform. His educational model calls not only for eliminating the dichotomy between religious and general sciences, but also for fostering a dialogical, adaptive, and socially relevant learning system. Nevertheless, the implementation of these ideas still faces obstacles such as cultural resistance and limited understanding among educational practitioners. Overall, this article affirms that Harun Nasution's thought remains highly relevant and makes a significant contribution to the development of a progressive, integrative, and globally competitive Islamic education in the age of disruption.

Abstract

Pandangan masyarakat mengenai agama dan ilmu rasional sebagai dua entitas yang berbeda menimbulkan pola pikir dikotomistik terutama dalam bidang pendidikan. Namun, terdapat suatu lembaga pendidikan yang secara serius mengintegrasikan sains dan agama yaitu Sekolah Menengah Atas Islam Terpadu. Point yang dijawab dari hasil peneltian ini bagaimana pengintegrasian materi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) ke dalam ilmu-ilmu rasional di SMA IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian lapangan (field research) bersifat kualitatif. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini yaitu pertama, pada level filosofi integrasi PAI ke dalam ilmu-ilmu rasional ditemukan pada rumusan visi dan misi sekolah menjadi sekolah unggul dalam aspek IPTEK dan IMTAK; pada level materi, materi PAI diintegrasikan ke dalam materi ilmu sosial, sains, matematika, dan kewarganegaraan; sedangkan pada level strategi pembelajaran, guru mengintegrasikan ayat-ayat atau hadits berserta tafsirnya di setiap tahapan proses pembelajaran yang berdampak terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berfikir kreatif, inovatif, kritis, dan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Pengintegrasian tersebut juga memberikan pemahaman bahwa Islam sebagai sumber ilmu-ilmu rasional dan sumber nilai sebagaimana yang dijelaskan di dalam al-Qur’an dan hadits yang mendidik peserta didik memperaktekkan atau mengkontekstualisasikan pengetahuan yang diperoleh melalui sikap dan perilaku di sekolah maupun dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
