Abstract

The research aims to discuss the motivation of students (Case Study) in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTs.N) 1 Malang, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTs.N) Batu,  Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs.) Surya Buana Malang unfortunate to learning Arabic. The methodology used by the researchers in this study is a quantitative method. As for the results of the students' responses to three aspects, namely cognitive, effective and concentration aspects through filling in student motivation questionnaires, interviews, and observations in learning Arabic as a whole of MTs.N Batu 2.76%, that can be grouped into medium. Then aspects of the student's interest in learning Arabic are overall average in MTs.N 1 Malang 2.71% so that the poor can be grouped in category medium, and aspects of the student's interest in learning Arabic as a whole on average in MTs. Surya Buana are 2.67% so it can be grouped in group Medium. Based on the analysis of data that has been discussed that the interest of students in MTs.N 1 Malang, MTs.N Batu, MTs. Surya Buana are classified into group Medium.

Abstract

This research aims to describe non-Arabic languages in the Qur’an according to the scholars who agreed on mu'arrab namely as-Suyuti, Ibn al-Subki and al-Khafiz Ibn Hajar and to reveal the meaning of the word including ta’rîb in the Qur’an. It uses library research method and descriptive qualitative technique analysis with structural, historical, and ideological approaches for the data analysis technique. The results of the study show that: 1) Factors which influence the occurrence of ta’rîb in Arabic especially in the Qur’an are the historical factors, namely geographical proximity, trading relations, immigration, political power, religious tendencies, culture, economy, and industry with other nations. 2) Arabic grows and develops with its closest Semitic languages, such as Habsyah, Aramiah and Akadiah so it will indirectly lead into language and cultural shift. 3) In as-Suyutimadhzab, including Ibn al-Subki, and al-Khafiz Ibn Hajar, believe in the existence of mu'arrab and ta’rîb in the Qur'an, so he collected around 125 non-Arabic words in the Qur'an which consists of 13 languages, including Persian, Habsyah, Hebrew, Suryaniyah, Nabathea, Berber, Zinjiyah, Jewish, Roman, Indian, Saizalah, Turkish and Magrib which are distributed in 41 surahs of the Qur’an.

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to analyze the different of region development in Gorontalo Province in the year 2008-2012, the development of region economy, and sectors that growth rapidly to be concerned in each region. The research uses the secondary data, namely, PDRB, and the growth of economy on each region. The tools use Williamson Index, Klassen Typology, Location Quotient (LQ), Model of Growth Ratio (MRP) and Overlay. Based on the analysis, we can conclude; the disparity of the region development is low with the value IW around 0,161-0,173. In Gorontalo Province, the region is divided into three quarters, namely, Boalemo and Bone Bolango in the 4th quarter (the low development, and low income), Gorontalo and Gorontalo Utara in 3rd quarter (high development, low income). Kota Gorontalo and Puhowato in 1st quarter (high development and high income). On each region in Gorontalo they have more than 2 sectors which growth so well. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan pembangunan daerah di Provinsi Gorontalo pada tahun 2008-2012, pembangunan ekonomi kabupaten/kota, dan sektor baik tumbuh cepat yang potensial untuk dikembangkan di setiap daerah. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder, seperti, PDRB per kapita dan pertumbuhan ekonomi kabupaten/ provinsi. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Indeks Williamson, Tipologi Klassen, Location Quotient (LQ), Model Rasio Pertumbuhan (MRP), dan Overlay. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan hasilnya;. Disparitas pembangunan daerah rendah dengan nilai IW tentang 0,161-0,173. Daerah di Provinsi Gorontalo dibagi menjadi tiga kuadran, yaitu Boalemo dan Bone Bolango di kuadran IV (pertumbuhan rendah dan berpeng­hasilan rendah), Gorontalo dan Gorontalo Utara di kuadran III (pertumbuhan tinggi dan ber­penghasilan rendah), Kota Gorontalo dan Pohuwato pada kuadran I (pertumbuhan tinggi dan berpenghasilan tinggi) kabupaten. Pada setiap daerah di Provinsi Gorontalo memiliki lebih dari dua sektor yang tumbuh sangat baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the cooperative think pair share learning model to improve writing skills in grades VIII A and VIII B SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Malang. In this study, researchers used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type and a non-equivalent control group design. This study uses the purposive sampling technique. The population is all students at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Malang, totaling 105 students. The sample consists of 2 classes, namely class VIII A, which is an experimental class that applies the cooperative think pair share learning model. Class VIII B is a control class using lecture methods. The data source is taken from student tests and interview results. Data collection methods use observations, interviews, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used for this study are independent sample t-test and effectiveness test or N-Gain test. The study results obtained a significant difference between the average grades of students before and after the implementation of the think pair share learning model. This can be seen from the average value of the control class of 65.43 while the average value of the experiment class is 76.86 so it can be known that the average value of the experimental class > the control class. The next result uses the N-Gain formula, obtained by 45 with a moderate category. In this case, it can be concluded that the cooperative think pair share learning model is effective in improving writing skills in class VIII A SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Malang.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a performance evaluation model for Arabic language teachers in the context of higher education through a literature review of relevant indicators and instruments. The primary goal is to design a holistic evaluation approach that is in line with the needs of higher education in Arabic language instruction. The research method involves an in-depth analysis of literature covering indicators such as teaching ability, material comprehension, student engagement, and technology integration, as well as assessment instruments such as classroom observation, project assessment, and the use of information technology. The research findings highlight the importance of stakeholder integration, including Arabic language professors, students, and other relevant parties, in the development of the evaluation model. The results of the literature review provide a strong foundation for designing a model that can advance the quality of Arabic language teaching in higher education. The research conclusion emphasizes the urgency of improving the quality of Arabic language instruction and underscores the vital role of the evaluation model in achieving this goal. Therefore, this research makes a significant contribution by providing a theoretical basis for the development of a more effective evaluation model to enhance the quality of Arabic language education at the higher education level.

Abstract

Persistent underachievement in Arabic language learning particularly within post-COVID-19 online learning environments remains a critical concern. This study explores the impact of Kinemaster-based audiovisual media on improving Arabic learning outcomes among seventh-grade students at Al-Irsyad Junior High School in Banyuwangi, East Java. Positioned within the growing discourse on technology-integrated pedagogy, the research evaluates how digital media tools influence student engagement and academic success. Employing a quantitative associative design with pretest-posttest methodology, data were gathered from 23 students through observations, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Statistical analysis via SPSS, including normality tests, paired sample T-tests, and N-Gain calculations, indicated a significant performance increase from a total posttest score of 1424 to 1882 with a significance value of 0.001. The N-Gain score of 52.28 categorized the improvement as moderately effective. These results affirm the pedagogical potential of Kinemaster-based audiovisual media in Arabic instruction, offering promising implications for fostering student-centered, multimedia-enhanced learning. Further investigations are recommended to assess scalability and the mediating role of individual learner characteristics.

Abstract

Linguistic competency improvement strategies need to be developed to face challenges. This study aims to analyze Arabic language learning in Islamic universities in Indonesia, focusing on teaching methods, challenges faced, and strategies to improve students' linguistic competence. This study uses a qualitative approach by collecting data through classroom observation, interviews with Arabic teachers, and analysis of related documents in Indonesian Islamic University (UII), State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta, State Islamic University (UIN) Yogyakarta, State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga, State University of Malang (UM), Yogyakarta State University (UNY). The results showed that the teaching methods commonly used in Islamic universities in Indonesia are lecture methods, discussion methods, demonstration methods, and problem-solving methods. However, the use of the lecture method is still dominant in the context of Arabic language learning. Challenges faced by students in learning Arabic include the complexity of Arabic grammar, time constraints, lack of resources, and a dense curriculum. Strategies identified include using educational technology in Arabic language learning, teacher training and mentorship, extracurricular programs involving the Arabic language, and an emphasis on developing speaking and writing skills in Arabic.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan anak yatim melalui program pelatihan keterampilan hidup sehari-hari di Panti Asuhan Ulil Abshar Dau, Sengkaling, Malang. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan 14 anak panti asuhan dalam serangkaian kegiatan pelatihan yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan sehari-hari. Program ini fokus pada pengembangan keterampilan praktis, seperti keterampilan komunikasi, keuangan, dan kegiatan sehari-hari yang memperkuat kemandirian anak-anak. Metode pembelajaran yang interaktif dan partisipatif digunakan untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan holistik mereka. Hasil dari pengabdian ini mencakup peningkatan keterampilan praktis anak-anak panti asuhan, seperti kemampuan berkomunikasi, manajemen keuangan pribadi, dan kemandirian dalam melakukan tugas-tugas harian. Selain itu, peningkatan rasa percaya diri dan motivasi untuk mencapai tujuan hidup juga menjadi bagian integral dari hasil yang dicapai. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa program pelatihan keterampilan hidup sehari-hari efektif dalam memberdayakan anak yatim di Panti Asuhan Ulil Abshar Dau. Melalui partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan ini, anak-anak panti asuhan mampu mengembangkan potensi mereka dan siap menghadapi tantangan kehidupan masa depan. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan anak-anak yatim, meningkatkan kemandirian mereka, dan memberi mereka bekal keterampilan yang berguna untuk menghadapi kehidupan dewasa. Program ini tidak hanya memberikan pengetahuan praktis tetapi juga memupuk nilai-nilai positif dan rasa percaya diri, menciptakan dampak positif jangka panjang pada masa depan anak-anak panti asuhan. rkuat pemahaman agama dan memajukan praktik keagamaan yang lebih baik di Kabupaten Malang.

Abstract

This research aims to delve into the stylistics of the Al-Qur’an, particularly the use of metaphorical communication (isti'arah) in Surat Ali Imran. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to collect data from the Al-Qur’an, exegesis, and relevant literature. The research findings identify and analyze various forms of isti'arah employed in Surat Ali Imran, conveying metaphorical messages with linguistic uniqueness and brilliance. The analysis reveals that isti'arah serves as an effective tool for conveying religious concepts and enriches the reader's understanding through strong symbols and analogies. The research conclusion affirms that the presence of isti'arah in Surat Ali Imran enhances the Quranic language's beauty and adds depth to the comprehension of religious concepts. This metaphorical language style serves as a window that showcases the wisdom and grandeur of the Al-Qur’an, inviting readers to contemplate and understand divine messages more profoundly. Thus, this research provides valuable insights into the use of isti'arah in conveying metaphorical meanings in the Al-Qur’an, enriching Quranic readers' religious and linguistic understanding.

Abstract

The use of Hangman game media is based on the lack of Arabic language game media. This condition causes students to become bored and pay less attention to learning. The lack of game media supporting Arabic as the main language makes researchers use the Hangman game media. This study aims to see how efficiently the Hangman interactive game improves vocabulary memorization XI grade students. The pre-experimental method was adopted, in which the researcher conducted a pre- and post-test. The researcher utilized a simple random sampling procedure using a sample of 28 students in her study. The data gathering strategy employed observation and tests to determine the student knowledge level. The T Test is a method of data analysis. In this case, students' scores improved after they played the Hangman game. After playing the Hangman game, students can memorize 5-6 new vocabulary words on average. Which was possible to say that using Hangman games to improve students' vocabulary memorization is effective. The Hangman game can be used as the main medium of learning or inserted in making learning materials on powerpoint to make learning conditions more enjoyable.
