Abstract

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Indonesia faces critical challenges, including limited financial resources, inadequate managerial support, and weak marketing strategies, which hinder the sustainable growth of ECE institutions. This study proposes a collaborative business management model between ECE institutions and universities to address these issues. The research employed a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) approach, involving 15 participants comprising ECE managers and university representatives. Discussions centered on operational challenges faced by ECE institutions and the potential for universities, leveraging their expertise in business, research, and student engagement, to provide strategic managerial and financial support. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to design a collaborative model. The findings revealed that universities can play a pivotal role in addressing ECE management constraints by offering expertise in marketing strategies, financial planning, and operational management. The proposed model emphasizes mutual benefits, with universities enhancing their community engagement and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while ECE institutions receive essential support to improve educational quality and sustainability. This study addresses a gap in the literature by demonstrating the feasibility and advantages of university-ECE partnerships. Such collaborations can transform both sectors by fostering cross-sector policies, improving community development, and enhancing educational outcomes. The collaborative model offers a strategic solution to ECE sustainability challenges in Indonesia. Future efforts should focus on policy frameworks to support these partnerships, enabling broader implementation and long-term impact on educational and societal advancement.

Abstract

The current era of globalization requires universities to formulate strategies to optimize campus assets to make them more productive and contribute to the institution. The research focused on one of the real assets at University of Jambi University, namely student dormitories. The research analyzed how to optimize dormitories to benefit students and the university. Problems faced by flat assets included limited land for maintenance, inadequate infrastructure, and high maintenance costs. Another challenge was the lack of supporting facilities, such as adequate reading rooms, laboratories, and sports venues. The research applied a mixed method (qualitative and quantitative approach). Qualitative analysis was carried out to evaluate business potential and identify opportunities for commercialization of dormitories through a survey of students living around campus. The data obtained was then analyzed using the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT) method to determine the strategic position of the dormitories. Meanwhile, quantitative data was obtained through observation and interviews, which were then analyzed using the investment criteria of Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR). The findings in SWOT show several suggestions for dormitory management at University of Jambi. Moreover, the results show that the NPV value of this 5-year flat project is estimated at IDR 571,256,867 with an IRR of 38.08%. It indicates that this project is feasible to implement. With the right strategy, the dormitories will not only be a place to live but also a place that supports students' academic and social growth.

Abstract

Community Service aims to enhance students' abilities in utilizing financial reports digitally, preparing reports, and managing financial performance using Excel. Financial reports are essential tools for assessing businesses’ condition and financial performance, including those run by students. Unfortunately, financial reporting is often overlooked, leading to conflicts within business teams. The fundamental reasons why student entrepreneurs fail to create financial reports include a limited understanding of bookkeeping, time constraints, and a lack of discipline. The community service methods include lectures, training, mentoring, and practical exercises. The results of the activities indicate an improvement in student entrepreneurs' ability to use financial reports digitally and manage financial performance based on Excel, as well as an increase in enthusiasm among student entrepreneurs to apply these skills in their businesses. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital branding and customer experience on customer loyalty at Cafe Latera Jambi, as well as to examine the moderating role of digital literacy in these relationships. The study employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling of 170 Generation Z respondents who were visitors of Cafe Latera Jambi. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4 software. The results revealed that: (1) digital branding has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty (β = 0.373; t = 7.037; p = 0.000); (2) customer experience has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty (β = 0.450; t = 9.311; p = 0.000) and serves as the strongest predictor; (3) digital literacy does not moderate the effect of digital branding on customer loyalty (β = −0.078; t = 1.526; p = 0.127); and (4) digital literacy does not moderate the effect of customer experience on customer loyalty (β = −0.018; t = 0.382; p = 0.703). Although digital literacy does not function as a moderator, it has a significant direct effect on customer loyalty (β = 0.270; p = 0.000). The research model explains 44.9% of the variance in customer loyalty. These findings imply that digital branding and customer experience strategies can be applied universally to the Gen Z segment without the need for segmentation based on digital literacy levels.
