Abstract

This study explores the role of corporate governance and financial transparency in reducing fraud within global financial markets from a legal perspective. Through an analysis of case studies and regulatory frameworks, it examines how robust governance mechanisms—such as independent boards, effective audit committees, and clear separation of CEO and chair roles—enhance financial transparency and accountability. Legal reforms, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, have proven effective in reducing fraud in developed markets but highlight enforcement challenges in emerging economies. The study also discusses emerging trends such as the integration of ESG criteria and the adoption of technologies like blockchain and AI, which offer new opportunities to improve transparency and governance. The findings suggest that a multi-faceted approach combining legal reforms, technological innovation, and cultural alignment is essential for building a resilient and trustworthy global financial system.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of cloud-based financial information systems in addressing corporate liquidity crises. It aims to identify how cloud financial systems improve liquidity stability, financial decision-making, and operational efficiency while examining key implementation challenges. A mixed-methods approach was applied, combining quantitative multiple linear regression analysis and qualitative case studies from 10 selected Indonesian companies across various sectors. The study measured key factors, including financial data access speed, accuracy, cash flow prediction, and liquidity management efficiency. The quantitative results show that all independent variables positively and significantly impact corporate liquidity stability (p-value 0.05). Liquidity management efficiency (coefficient = 0.366) had the most potent effect, followed by financial data access (0.347), accuracy and transparency (0.340), and cash flow prediction (0.308). The qualitative findings further validate these results, with companies reporting better financial forecasting, reduced manual errors, and improved decision-making speed. However, key challenges include high implementation costs, cybersecurity risks, and system integration difficulties. Businesses must adopt strategic implementation plans, focusing on enhanced cybersecurity measures, affordable cloud solutions, and team member training programs to maximize cloud financial benefits. SMEs, in particular, require scalable cloud options to mitigate financial and technological constraints. Cloud-based financial systems significantly enhance corporate financial stability and sustainability. Companies that effectively integrate these systems will gain higher financial resilience and competitive advantage in the digital era. However, addressing cost, security, and integration challenges is essential for optimizing cloud technology adoption.

Abstract

Abstract

The current era of globalization requires universities to formulate strategies to optimize campus assets to make them more productive and contribute to the institution. The research focused on one of the real assets at University of Jambi University, namely student dormitories. The research analyzed how to optimize dormitories to benefit students and the university. Problems faced by flat assets included limited land for maintenance, inadequate infrastructure, and high maintenance costs. Another challenge was the lack of supporting facilities, such as adequate reading rooms, laboratories, and sports venues. The research applied a mixed method (qualitative and quantitative approach). Qualitative analysis was carried out to evaluate business potential and identify opportunities for commercialization of dormitories through a survey of students living around campus. The data obtained was then analyzed using the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT) method to determine the strategic position of the dormitories. Meanwhile, quantitative data was obtained through observation and interviews, which were then analyzed using the investment criteria of Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR). The findings in SWOT show several suggestions for dormitory management at University of Jambi. Moreover, the results show that the NPV value of this 5-year flat project is estimated at IDR 571,256,867 with an IRR of 38.08%. It indicates that this project is feasible to implement. With the right strategy, the dormitories will not only be a place to live but also a place that supports students' academic and social growth.

Abstract

Abstract

In its development, the Pinang commodity is a leading regional commodity in Jambi Province in general, and Tanjabtim and Tanjabbar districts in particular. Tanjung Jabung Timur and Tanjung Jabung Barat districts are the largest and best producers of Pinang commodities in Jambi Province. This makes Pinang one of the leading export products of the district. So that Pinang is widely used by the community as a source of livelihood both in the form of buying and selling businesses and field investments. As a leading commodity, the business behavior and business performance of Pinang farmers are needed to develop this Pinang business or business in the future. Research on the business behavior and business performance of Pinang farmers has never been studied before. This study has the ultimate goal of formulating a Model of Business Behavior and Business Performance of Pinang Farmers in Tanjung Jabung Timur and Tanjung Jabung Barat Districts. This study applies a combination research (mixed method) with the Sequential Exploratory Design type, namely the initial stage using qualitative research with NVivo software, then the second stage using quantitative research with SmartPLS software. The results of this study conclude that Pinang farmers consist of: hereditary pinang farmers and "new" pinang farmers. The performance of the areca nut farmer business is highly dependent on the collectors and/or areca nut entrepreneurs and areca nut exporters. This is because the purchase price of areca nuts from areca nut farmers is determined by the collectors, areca nut entrepreneurs and areca nut exporters. Meanwhile, other things can be concluded as follows: 1.) The purchasing behavior of areca nut buyers is unable to strengthen or weaken the business behavior of areca nut farmers. 2.) The higher the business behavior of areca nut farmers, the higher the business performance will be. 3.) This means that the higher the purchasing behavior of areca nut buyers, the higher the business performance will be
