Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of training and education (X1), organizational support (X2), and volunteer experience (X3) on volunteer performance (Y) at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in Wonogiri Regency. A survey was conducted among 30 active volunteers using a Likert-scale questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that only volunteer experience (X3) has a statistically significant effect on performance (coefficient = 0.688, p = 0.000), while training and education (X1) (coefficient = 0.155, p = 0.233) and organizational support (X2) (coefficient = 0.037, p = 0.747) do not show a significant influence. However, when considered simultaneously, the three independent variables have a significant joint effect on volunteer performance (F = 34.536, p = 0.000, R² = 0.799). Keywords: volunteer performance, training and education, organizational support, volunteer experience, Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Wonogiri Regency.

Abstract

Background: Cybersecurity is important for government agencies and the usefulness shows the need for a thorough understanding of information security awareness (ISA) among employees in order to enhance protective measures and ensure compliance with regulations. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) of Indonesia is very important in providing essential national data and this responsibility shows the need to assess and promote ISA among the employees. The efforts to ensure a robust ISA culture can allow BMKG to safeguard sensitive meteorological and geophysical data, strengthen operational resilience, maintain public trust, and mitigate potential cyber threats that are capable of compromising national security.  Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the level of organizational ISA among employees at BMKG and to improve measures considered important.  Methods: The Human Aspects of Information Security Questionnaire (HAIS-Q) was administered as the reference model to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of employees regarding information security. A descriptive statistical analysis and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) were further applied to analyze data from 459 BMKG employees across various security domains, including password management, email use, internet use, social media use, mobile device security, and incident reporting.  Results: The results showed that BMKG employees possessed a high overall level of ISA (88.06%) with the average knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors recorded to be 88.06%, 81.89%, and 80.74%, respectively. Meanwhile, specific areas such as email use (78.70%) and mobile device use (73.19%) had only moderate awareness. The structural model analysis also showed that behavior exerted the most significant influence on ISA (β = 0.423), followed by attitude (β = 0.289) and knowledge (β = 0.214).  Conclusion: The overall awareness level was positive but there was a need for targeted efforts in password management, email use, and mobile device security to improve ISA practices. Moreover, the implementation of comprehensive information security policies, regular training, and organizational support was suggested to be important for fostering a robust security culture within BMKG.  Keywords: Information Security Awareness, Cybersecurity, BMKG, PLS-SEM, Government Employees, Indonesia

Abstract

This research is a type of development research with a research and development (R and D) model. The procedure in development research uses steps including the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects in this study were LSP implementers in Higher Education, in this case LSP P1 Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. This study uses expert validation tests related to the content and products of the development. The results of a series of research activities based on trial evaluations are known to obtain an average score of eligibility of 3.81 with a maximum scale of 4 in the very good category. From the evaluation results, improvements are needed in the design aspects, namely the type of writing, the appearance of the background and the addition of videos as a guide for prospective assessors in this case students of Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya.

Abstract

The global halal industry continues to experience robust growth, yet a critical dimension remains underexplored: the integration of Sharia-compliant financial management within halal-certified enterprises. While most regulatory and scholarly attention has been directed toward ensuring product halalness, the financial practices of halal industry players are often misaligned with Sharia accounting principles. This study investigates the role of Sharia accounting in strengthening the integrity and sustainability of Indonesia's halal industry, using a phenomenological qualitative approach based on in-depth interviews with key stakeholders in East Java. Grounded in the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah framework, particularly the protection of wealth (hifẓ al-māl), the findings reveal a systemic gap between product-based halal certification and Sharia-compliant financial reporting. The absence of regulatory enforcement, institutional clarity, and professional support has led to fragmented practices, particularly among micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). This study offers a strategic recommendation to involve Sharia-compliant Public Accounting Firms (PAFs) in assisting halal businesses with financial reporting following Sharia Financial Accounting Standards (SFAS). The novelty of this research lies in highlighting financial governance as an essential yet overlooked pillar of halal assurance—advancing the discourse on halal ecosystem integrity from a global Islamic accounting perspective. For future research, comparative cross-country studies are recommended to examine the implementation and regulatory integration of Sharia accounting within halal industries in diverse legal and institutional settings, particularly between emerging Muslim-majority economies and established halal hubs such as Malaysia, the GCC, and Southeast Asia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic management process in implementing the halal certification program by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Surabaya City. The research specifically focuses on evaluating the alignment between policy formulation and local implementation using four analytical dimensions: consistency, consonance, advantage, and feasibility. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis involving halal facilitators (P3H), ministry officials, and MSME representatives. The findings reveal that while the Surabaya City Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs has aligned its operations with the national halal certification strategy established by BPJPH, challenges persist in stakeholder participation, resource adequacy, and digital integration. The study highlights that consistency and institutional advantage are relatively strong, whereas consonance and feasibility require reinforcement through clearer coordination and performance-based incentives. Theoretically, this research contributes by integrating Islamic ethical principles—amanah (trust), ihsan (excellence), and maslahah (public welfare)—into the framework of strategic management, thus providing a holistic model for public-sector halal governance and offering practical implications for improving local policy implementation and institutional performance.
