Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan adanya fenomena yang terjadi pada siswa di MAN Kota Pariaman. Terindikasi beberapa siswa yang kesulitan menghadapi dan menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan guru dengan baik dikarenakan terindikasi mengalami prokrastinasi akademik serta terindikasi kurang mendapat dukungan dari orang tuanya dirumah dan terindikasi melakukan prokrastinasi atau menunda dalam mengerjakan tugas sekolahnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh dan signifikan dari variabel locus of control (X1) terhadap prokrastinasi akademik (Y) dengan diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,001< 0,05 dan tingkat persentase sebesar 11,4%. (2) terdapat pengaruh dan signifikan dari variabel dukungan orang tua (X2) terhadap prokrastinasi akademik (Y) dengan diperoleh nilai signifikan 0,015 < 0.05 dan tingkat persentase sebesar 6,3%. (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari locus of control (X1) dan dukungan orang tua (X2) secara bersama-sama terhadap prokrastinasi akademik dengan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan tingkat persentase sebesar 16,6%. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi konselor untuk dapat mengembangkan pendekatan atau model-model bimbingan dan konseling yang berkaitan dengan prokrastinasi akademik,locus of control dan dukungan orang tua.

Abstract

The phenomenon that occurs in grade VIII and IX students at SMPN 3 Pasaman. There are several students who have low learning achievement because they are indicated to have a self-concept that is not optimal and are indicated to have low self-confidence. This study aims to: (1) determine how much influence self-concept has on learning achievement (2) how much influence self-confidence has on learning achievement (3) how much influence self-concept and self-confidence have together on learning achievement. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative type. The population in this study was 164 students. The sampling technique in this study used a stratified random sampling technique, which means taking tiered random samples so that the sampling per class is evenly distributed according to the number of students per class. The sample in this study was 116 samples. The data collection technique used questionnaires and documentation. The instrument used in this study was a self-concept and self-confidence questionnaire developed by the researcher. The data analysis conducted to test the research hypothesis was simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is a positive and significant influence of self-concept (X1) on learning achievement (Y) with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and a percentage level of 27.8%. (2) there is a positive and significant influence of the self-confidence variable (X2) on learning achievement (Y) with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and a percentage level of 23.6%. (3) there is a significant influence of self-concept (X1) and self-confidence (X2) together on learning achievement with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and a percentage level of 37.4%.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of students’ social interaction skills at MTs Negeri 7 Agam, indicating problems in their social intelligence. This condition is assumed to be influenced by peer relationships and family environment, which may not optimally support students’ social development. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effects of peers, family environment, and both variables simultaneously on students’ social intelligence. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative design. The population consists of 253 students, with a sample of 98 students selected using proportional random sampling based on the Taro Yamane formula. The research instrument is a questionnaire covering peer influence, family environment, and social intelligence variables. Data analysis is conducted using simple linear regression and multiple linear regression to test the research hypotheses. The results show that peers have a significant effect on social intelligence, contributing 9.9%. The family environment also has a significant effect with a higher contribution of 30.9%. Simultaneously, peers and family environment significantly influence students’ social intelligence with a combined contribution of 34.3%. These findings highlight the important role of both factors in enhancing students’ social intelligence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara kesehatan mental dan penyesuaian diri pada mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling di Universitas Islam Negeri Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi. Kesehatan mental adalah kondisi yang memungkinkan individu untuk menikmati kehidupan dan menjalin hubungan sosial yang baik, sementara penyesuaian diri merujuk pada kemampuan individu untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan baru, termasuk lingkungan akademik. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Melibatkan 59 responden dari populasi mahasiswa, data dikumpulkan melalui skala yang telah divalidasi dan diuji reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kesehatan mental mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang, dengan 66% mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kesehatan mental yang baik. Uji hipotesis dengan korelasi Pearson menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara kesehatan mental dan penyesuaian diri (sig. 0,000; r = 0,469), yang menandakan bahwa semakin baik kesehatan mental mahasiswa, semakin baik pula penyesuaian diri mereka di lingkungan kampus. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa perhatian terhadap kesehatan mental mahasiswa sangat penting untuk mendukung proses penyesuaian diri yang optimal di lingkungan akademik.

Abstract

Teacher performance is an important factor in determining the quality of learning processes and outcomes in schools, which is not only influenced by pedagogic and professional competence, but also by internal factors such as emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence. This study aims to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence with the performance of State Madrasah teachers in Bukittinggi City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method, with the population of all Madrasah teachers in Bukittinggi City and samples taken through stratified random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, while data analysis was carried out through various relevant statistical tests. The results showed that emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence each had a positive and significant relationship with teacher performance, and together showed a strong relationship with teacher performance. These findings also indicate that spiritual intelligence has a more dominant role than emotional intelligence in improving teacher performance. Therefore, the development of emotional and spiritual intelligence needs to be a concern in an effort to improve the quality of teacher performance in the madrasah environment.
