Abstract

Objectives: This research aims to develop a sustainable tourism development model through social empowerment, prioritizing local wisdom, infrastructure, and Human resources management strengthened by government rule.Methodology: This study uses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 270 tourists using convenience sampling techniques, who visiting the main destinations in Jambi province consisting of 9 districts and 2 cities and the data is processed using smart PLS, a qualitative method by conducting Focus Group discussions to obtain validation of the findings of the research results that are adjusted to the facts from the opinions of experts.Finding: This study found that local wisdom and human resource management significantly influence sustainable tourism development, while infrastructure does not directly contribute to tourism sustainability. Social empowerment plays a crucial role in strengthening the relationship between local wisdom, infrastructure, and human resource management through government rule.Conclusion: The key implication of these findings underscores the importance of effective social empowerment and governance in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the tourism sector. Therefore, policies that encourage active participation of local communities in tourism management should be developed, supported by training and capacity-building programs to enhance workforce adaptability to market and technological changes. Tourism industry players in Jambi to integrate local wisdom into business models and destination management to enhance attractiveness and sustainability. Further research is needed to explore more effective mechanisms for strengthening social empowerment and tourism governance through community-based approaches, as well as to examine the impact of fiscal policies and economic incentives on tourism sustainability. Overall, this study highlights the necessity of collaboration between governments, local communities, and private sector stakeholders to build a resilient and sustainable tourism ecosystem.

Abstract

Saham perusahaan merupakan instrumen investasi dengan tingkat risiko yang relatif tinggi, sehingga diperlukan penilaian yang cermat terhadap nilai wajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi nilai wajar saham pada perusahaan subsektor farmasi dengan kapitalisasi pasar terbesar yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Penilaian dilakukan menggunakan dua pendekatan: Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) dengan model Free Cash Flow to the Firm (FCFF), serta Relative Valuation (RV) dengan rasio Price to Earnings (PER) dan Price to Book Value (PBV). Ketiga metode ini dianalisis dalam tiga skenario: pesimis, moderat, dan optimis. Data yang digunakan berasal dari laporan keuangan tahunan perusahaan selama periode 2015–2019, yang menjadi dasar proyeksi kinerja untuk tahun 2020–2024. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dengan pendekatan DCF-FCFF, seluruh saham perusahaan berada dalam kondisi undervalued di semua skenario. Sebaliknya, pendekatan RV dengan rasio PER menunjukkan kondisi overvalued pada ketiga saham. Sementara itu, pada pendekatan PBV, hanya saham KAEF yang undervalued dalam skenario pesimis; saham KLBF dan INAF tetap overvalued. Pada skenario moderat dan optimis, seluruh saham menunjukkan kondisi overvalued.

Abstract

In its development, the Pinang commodity is a leading regional commodity in Jambi Province in general, and Tanjabtim and Tanjabbar districts in particular. Tanjung Jabung Timur and Tanjung Jabung Barat districts are the largest and best producers of Pinang commodities in Jambi Province. This makes Pinang one of the leading export products of the district. So that Pinang is widely used by the community as a source of livelihood both in the form of buying and selling businesses and field investments. As a leading commodity, the business behavior and business performance of Pinang farmers are needed to develop this Pinang business or business in the future. Research on the business behavior and business performance of Pinang farmers has never been studied before. This study has the ultimate goal of formulating a Model of Business Behavior and Business Performance of Pinang Farmers in Tanjung Jabung Timur and Tanjung Jabung Barat Districts. This study applies a combination research (mixed method) with the Sequential Exploratory Design type, namely the initial stage using qualitative research with NVivo software, then the second stage using quantitative research with SmartPLS software. The results of this study conclude that Pinang farmers consist of: hereditary pinang farmers and "new" pinang farmers. The performance of the areca nut farmer business is highly dependent on the collectors and/or areca nut entrepreneurs and areca nut exporters. This is because the purchase price of areca nuts from areca nut farmers is determined by the collectors, areca nut entrepreneurs and areca nut exporters. Meanwhile, other things can be concluded as follows: 1.) The purchasing behavior of areca nut buyers is unable to strengthen or weaken the business behavior of areca nut farmers. 2.) The higher the business behavior of areca nut farmers, the higher the business performance will be. 3.) Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan berdasarkan survey dan diskusi tim dengan mitra, permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra saat ini adalah 1. Proses produksi yang masih manual dan tidak efisien, produk yang dihasilkan belum memiliki informasi kandungan gizi dan nutrisi 2. kemasan saat ini kurang menarik konsumen, membuat produk tidak tahan lama dan rentan rusak 3. Manajemen usaha dibagian pencatatan keuangan masih manual belum terpisah dengan keuangan pribadi, 4. pemasaran terbatas karena masih dilakukan secara ofline yang dilakukan di kota Jambi saja, belum menggunakan platform online melalui e-commerce, website dan media sosial. Urgensi kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra yang telah dijelaskan diatas sehingga UMKM diharapkan memiliki daya saing yang kuat serta usaha yang berkelanjutan. Tujuan utama dari Pengabdian PKM ini untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM, peningkatan kapasitas produksi, manajemen usaha, dan perluasan pasar yang dimiliki oleh mitra sehingga dapat menyerap tenaga kerja, peningkatan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan mitra di sekitarnya, keberlanjutan usaha, mendorong kemandirian ekonomi lokal yang inovatif, berkelanjutan, dan adaptif. Penguatan Daya Saing UMKM melalui Inovasi Produk, Digitalisasi, dan Perluasan Pasar sehingga dapat meningkatkan peningkatan kapasitas produksi, informasi gizi, kandungan nutrisi dan kalori pada label produk, manajemen keuangan secara digitaliasi, yang akan berdampak terhadap peningkatan penjualan dan omzet. perluasan pasar melalui e-commerce dan online. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Impact of Green Finance and Environmental Performance on Firm Value through Financial Performance. This objective is described as: 1) Analyzing the influence of Green finance, environmental performance and financial performance on firm value in Consumer Non-Cyclicals Sector Companies for the 2020-2023 Period 2) Analyzing the influence of Green finance and environmental performance on financial performance in Consumer Non-Cyclicals Sector Companies for the 2020-2023 Period 3) Analyzing the influence of Green finance and environmental performance on firm value through financial performance as a mediating variable in Consumer Non-Cyclicals Sector Companies for the 2020-2023 Period. This study is a quantitative study using SEM PLS. The results show that environmental performance has a positive and significant effect on financial performance, and financial performance is proven to have a strong and significant effect on firm value, while environmental performance does not directly affect firm value without the mediation of financial performance; On the other hand, Green Finance does not have a significant influence on either financial performance or company value, and is not proven to mediate the relationship, so it can be concluded that financial performance is a key factor that mediates the influence of environmental performance on company value, while green finance has not shown a significant contribution in the context of Consumer Non-Cyclicals sector companies in Indonesia for the period 2020–2023.

Abstract

This study aims to analysis changes in abnormal returns and trading volume activity (TVA) before and after the announcement of MUI Fatwa Number 83 of 2023 on companies that have issue related to Israel to explore the impact of the conflict between Israel and Palestina on the global economy, with a special focus on the response of the global community which can be reflected in boycotts of products affiliated with Israel. Through event study method and Paired Sample T-test test, this study concludes that there is no significant difference in abnormal return and TVA between the period before and after the announcement of MUI Fatwa Number 83 Year 2023. Although the conflict and the fatwa create a level of uncertainty, the findings reflect that investors still maintain high interest in investing in the capital market, providing insight into the dynamics of the capital market and investor attitudes amidst tense geopolitical conditions and potential economic sanctions. The implications of this research can serve as a foundation for designing more adaptive investment strategies in the era of global geopolitical.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and formulate strategies strengthen competitiveness after the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a mix method with two approaches, namely a qualitative approach interviews as information to make a SWOT analysis and quantitative by providing questionnaires to MSME actors around tourist areas in Jambi City, 120 respondents were obtained, a quantitative approach using SEM-PLS as a data analysis tool and forming a model for developing a strategy to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs after the pandemic. The results of this study obtain several recommended strategies for strengthening competitiveness, namely increasing innovation, improving product quality to gain competitive advantage, improving supply chains, having strength in the distribution section from raw materials to consumers, providing training to improve employee capabilities, taking advantage of opportunities by become a business actor who is adaptive to all conditions. Based on the results of quantitative analysis, a model is formed that contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs after the COVID-19 pandemic, namely product quality, capital, supply chains, market diversification and skills that have a very strong relationship to strengthening MSMEs' power.

Abstract

The rapid development of financial technology (FinTech) has fundamentally transformed financial management practices across organizations and economic systems worldwide. The emergence of FinTech 4.0 characterized by the integration of artificial intelligence, big data analytics, blockchain technology, cloud computing, and open finance has shifted financial management from a traditional administrative function toward a strategic driver of efficiency, financial inclusion, and financial resilience. In recent years, increasing economic uncertainty, technological disruption, and global financial shocks have intensified the need for adaptive and resilient financial management systems. This study aims to systematically review and synthesize recent international literature on the transformation of financial management in the era of FinTech 4.0, with a particular focus on three interrelated dimensions: efficiency, financial inclusion, and financial resilience. Using a structured literature review approach, this study analyzes peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 that examine the role of FinTech in reshaping financial management practices across different organizational and institutional contexts. The findings indicate that FinTech significantly enhances financial management efficiency through automation, real-time data processing, and advanced analytics. Furthermore, FinTech expands financial inclusion by reducing access barriers to financial services for individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises. In addition, FinTech strengthens financial resilience by enabling proactive risk management, predictive financial planning, and adaptive decision-making during periods of economic disruption. By integrating these three dimensions within a unified analytical framework, this study contributes to the literature by offering a comprehensive understanding of FinTech-driven financial management transformation and providing insights for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers.

Abstract

This article discusses the digital transformation of passport services as part of public service reform in the immigration sector. The study analyzes public perceptions of the quality of M-Paspor–based passport services at the Class I Immigration Office TPI Jambi by integrating the SERVQUAL and e-service quality perspectives. The findings demonstrate that the implementation of digital-based passport services has been perceived very positively by service users, particularly in terms of accessibility, procedural certainty, and service efficiency. The consistency of high scores across service quality dimensions reflects the successful integration of digital systems with conventional service mechanisms. However, the analysis also reveals that the empathy dimension remains relatively weaker, indicating the need to strengthen human interaction and user experience within digital public services. Overall, this study confirms that digital transformation has contributed to improving passport service quality, while emphasizing that sustainable public value creation requires a balanced approach between technological innovation and user-oriented service delivery. Abstract

UMKM merupakan salah satu pilar utama perekonomian Indonesia, menyumbang lebih dari separuh PDB nasional dan menyerap sebagian besar tenaga kerja. Namun, banyak UMKM di daerah masih beroperasi pada rantai nilai rendah yang ditandai oleh keterbatasan inovasi, minimnya pengelolaan usaha, dan rendahnya literasi digital. Permasalahan serupa ditemukan pada kelompok UMKM penjual ayam potong di Desa Pematang Gajah, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, yang hanya menjual ayam dalam bentuk mentah tanpa diversifikasi produk dan belum menerapkan manajemen usaha yang memadai. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan, meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku usaha, serta merumuskan tindakan perbaikan berbasis partisipasi. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, pelatihan sanitasi dan good handling practices, penguatan manajemen keuangan dasar, serta pengenalan potensi diversifikasi produk unggas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelaku usaha berada dalam kondisi low-value chain trap, namun pendekatan PAR mampu memfasilitasi transformative learning melalui refleksi kritis, peningkatan kesadaran usaha, dan penyusunan rencana aksi sederhana seperti pencatatan keuangan, peningkatan sanitasi, dan uji coba produk olahan. Program ini menegaskan bahwa intervensi partisipatif dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk memperkuat UMKM lokal secara berkelanjutan, sekaligus meningkatkan nilai tambah dan daya saing ekonomi masyarakat.
