Abstract

Slang is a language that is popular among the millennial generation. This slang is not always used in everyday life. This research aims to describe the language sound patterns found in slang. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative method. The data in this research is in the form of slang vocabulary. The data source of this research is slang in social media. The data in this study were obtained using documentation, listening, and note-taking techniques. The results show that there are several sound patterns in slang on social media including twitter, instagram, and tiktok. The pattern of slang formation is the phenomenon of phoneme changes and changes in the phoneme structure of words. Social media plays an important role in the wide spread of slang. Social media is one way to socialize between individuals and become a means of entertainment. The purpose of slang is to joke, greet, mock, and to build closeness between friends. Therefore, the use of slang in the millennial generation is a self-expression to establish friendship and intimacy between friends.   Bahasa gaul adalah bahasa yang populer di kalangan generasi milenial. Bahasa gaul ini tidak selalu digunakan pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola bunyi bahasa yang terdapat di dalam bahasa gaul. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kosa kata bahasa gaul di media sosial. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah bahasa gaul dalam media sosial. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, simak, dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa pola bunyi dalam bahasa gaul di media sosial antara lain twitter, instagram, dan tiktok. Pola dari pembentukkan bahasa gaul yaitu fenomena perubahan fonem dan perubahan struktur fonem pada kata. Media sosial sangat berperan penting bagi penyebaran luas bahasa gaul. Media sosial merupakan salah satu cara untuk bersosialisasi antar individu serta menjadi salah satu sarana hiburan. Tujuan dari bahasa gaul ini untuk bercanda, menyapa, mengejek, serta untuk membangun kedekatan antara pertemanan. Maka dari itu, penggunaan bahasa gaul pada generasi milenial itu sebagai ekspresi diri untuk menjalin keakraban antar sesama teman dan menunjukkan identitas kelompok.

Abstract

This article will describe the impact of the use of APE on the syntactic development of children, especially children with language disorders, namely Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or known as ADHD. This study is included in descriptive research with qualitative methods. While the subjects in this study were ADHD children aged 4-7 years. The data in the study were the statements of an informant, namely a teacher with the initials S. The data collection technique used in the study was the interview technique. The results of the study showed that APE had a significant impact on the syntactic development of children with ADHD. With this tool, children are more enthusiastic, can focus, enjoy more, and have fun in every learning activity that takes place. Not only that, children also more often express expressions that have positive connotations. In fact, children, intentionally or not, are able to form language in the aspects of syntax, phrases and sentences.Keywords: ADHD; educational play tools; syntactic development; psycholinguistics Abstrak: Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan dampak penggunaan APE terhadap perkembangan sintaksis anak, khususnya anak penderita gangguan berbahasa, yaitu Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder atau dikenal dengan ADHD. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif. Sementara subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak ADHD berusia 4-7 tahun. Data dalam penelitian adalah tuturan seorang informan, yaitu guru berinisial S. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teknik wawancara. Hasil  penelitian menunjukkan bahwa APE sangat berdampak terhadap perkembangan sintaksis anak penderita ADHD. Dengan alat ini, anak lebih semangat, bisa fokus, lebih enjoy, dan bersenang-senang pada setiap kegiatan pembelajaran yang berlangsung. Tidak hanya itu, anak juga lebih sering mengungkapkan ekspresi yang berkonotasi positif. Bahkan, anak disengaja maupun tidak, mampu membentuk bahasa dalam aspek sintaksis, frasa dan kalimat.Katakunci: ADHD; alat permainan edukatif; perkembangan sintaksis; psikolinguistik

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman memberikan dampak yang begitu besar terhadap penggunaan media sosial. Semakin heboh pengguna media sosial, semakin banyak bahasa yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan variasi fonologi bahasa gaul remaja Jakarta Selatan di media sosial Twitter. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Objek yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah ragam bahasa gaul remaja Jakarta Selatan di Twitter. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah kosakata ragam bahasa gaul remaja Jakarta Selatan di Twitter. Sumber data dalam penelitaian ini berupa dokumentasi komentar remaja Jakarta Selatan di Twitter. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diterapkan adalah teknik dokumentasi, simak, dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat fenomena variasi fonologi dalam kosakata ragam bahasa gaul remaja Jakarta Selatan di twitter yang berupa kata /yach/ terjadi penambahan fonem /c/ dan /h/, pada kata /ugha/ terjadi penghilangan fonem /j/ dan penambahan fonem /h/, pada kata /ngab/ terjadi pembalikan kata, pada kata /syudah/ terjadi penambahan fonem /y/, pada kata /tiati/ terjadi penghilangan fonem /h/, pada kata /cans/ terjadi penghilangan fonem /t/, /i/, /k/ dan terjadi penambahan fonem /s/ di akhir kata, pada kata /ngemeng/ terjadi perubahan fonem /o/ menjadi /e/, pada kata /nyender/ terjadi perubahan fonem /s/ menjadi /ny/, dan pada kata /campoer/ terjadi penambahan fonem /o/ dan /e/ di tengah kata, yang kata seharusnya adalah /campur/.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the language acquisition of children aged 3 years 10 months in terms of phonology, morphology, and syntax. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The subject in this study was a 3 year 10 Month old girl with the initials Cila. The data in the study were in the form of speech produced by Cila which was collected using documentation, listening, and note-taking techniques. The findings of this study indicate that: 1) At the phonology level, the subject has mastered vowels well. While in the acquisition of consonants, there is one phoneme that is still difficult to pronounce, namely the phoneme /ŋ/. 2) At the morphology level, the vocabulary mastered by the subject is quite broad, including monomorphemic words and bound morpheme forms. 3) At the syntax level, the subject has been able to form good sentence patterns so that it produces complex sentences, including four types of sentences, namely imperative sentences, interrogative sentences, declarative sentences, and complex sentences.Keywords: Language Acquisition; Children Aged 3-4 Years; Phonology; Morphology, Syntax

Abstract

Advertisements tend to be packed with strong, persuasive, and emotional language. To be able to create a persuasive and emotional effect, proper linguistic features are needed. This study aims to reveal linguistic features in the form of verbs and adjectives as the main weapon in online loan advertising. In addition, this study also seeks to see the relationship between the use of adjectives in online loan advertisements with the public's view. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are in the form of verbs and adjectives contained in online loan application advertisements. The data sources in this study are online loan advertisements registered with the OJK. The results show that the use of verbs in online loan advertisements tends to achieve interrogative and imperative functions. The use of “cepat”, “aman”, and “mudah” adjectives is intended as a strategy to increase the selling value and attractiveness of loan products. The use of “cepat”, “aman”, and “mudah” adjectives in online loan advertisements tends to describe changes in people's views or mindsets in general, especially in the economic field (loan services).

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of understanding the relationship between personality traits and children's language development, particularly in the area of morphology. The aim of this research is to describe the differences in morphological development in eight-year-old girls with introverted and extroverted personality types. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. The research subjects consist of three girls: two with introverted personalities and one with an extroverted personality. All three subjects are students at a public elementary school located in the Kranggan area, Bekasi City. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, using image-based stimuli designed to elicit written linguistic responses. The primary data consist of the children’s written texts, which were analyzed with a focus on their acquisition of morphological forms, including prefixes, suffixes, circumfixes, and reduplications. The findings show that the three subjects produced a total of 340 affixes, comprising 91 prefixes, 12 suffixes, 61 circumfixes, and 23 reduplications. The differences in personality types appear to influence the variation and quantity of morphological forms used by each child. Theoretically, this research contributes to psycholinguistic studies, particularly in exploring how psychological factors affect language development. Practically, the findings can be utilized by teachers, speech therapists, and parents as a foundation for designing language learning strategies that are tailored to the child’s personality traits in order to optimize their linguistic potential.

Abstract

Bahasa memiliki beragam fungsi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu fungsi bahasa adalah Media yang digunakan manusia untuk mengungkapkan ekspresi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan anak usia tiga tahun dalam memanfaatkan fitur-fitur bahasa untuk mengungkapkan ekspresi emosional. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif.  Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak perempuan bernama Shafa yang berusia tiga tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, simak, dan catat. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa tuturan-tuturan yang diproduksi oleh subjek. Penelitian ini penting untuk dikaji untuk mengetahui pemahaman serta perkembangan ekspresi bahasa yang dapat dituturkan oleh anak berusia 3 tahun dan penelitian ini pun berhasil menetapkan adanya tiga jenis tindak tutur di dalam lima konteks tuturan yang sudah dapat diungkapkan dengan baik oleh Shafa, yaitu tindak tutur tidak langsung jenis ilokusi ekspresif, tindak tutur ironi jenis ilokusi komisif, dan tindak tutur tidak langsung dan tindak tutur ilokusi direktif.
