Abstract

Dialect is a variation of language that has differences in its usage. Javanese is a regional language that has many variations and is used in a wide range. This study aims to describe the comparison of vowel phonemes in the Javanese dialects of Indramayu and Solo. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method with comparative techniques. The object studied in this study is the Javanese dialect of Indramayu and Solo. The data in this study are in the form of vocabulary in Indramayu and Solo Javanese. Sources of data in this study were the results of interviews with informants and vocabulary lists for Indramayu and Solo Javanese. Data collection techniques applied in this research are interview techniques, documentation techniques, observe, and note. The results showed that there were several vowel correspondences to nouns and verbs in the Javanese dialects of Indramayu and Solo. The correspondence includes differences between vowel phonemes /a/ and /o/ in Javanese verbs and nouns in Indramayu and Javanese in Solo. As in the Indramayu district which is located in West Java and the Solo City area which is located in Central Java, and many other areas that use Javanese dialects. In writing this journal, the researcher only focuses on the analysis of differences in noun and verb vowel phonemes in the Indramayu Javanese dialect and the Javanese Solo language. The results of this study will show how the differences in the Javanese dialect between the two regions have several differences in vowel phonemes in each word but have the same word meaning so that it makes each variety unique.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kalimat majemuk setara. Data penelitian ini adalah cerpen Dia yang Menunggu di Teras karya Gielangbina. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa cerita pendek. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pustaka dan teknik simak-catat. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 25 data kalimat majemuk setara. Pada jenis kalimat majemuk setara dalam cerpen Dia Yang Menunggu di Teras karya Gielangbina adalah terdapat 2 data kalimat majemuk setara sebab-akibat, 14 data kalimat majemuk setara sejalan dan 9 data kalimat majemuk setara berlawanan. Kalimat majemuk setara yang banyak digunakan dalam cerpen Dia yang Menunggu di Teras karya Gielangbina ini adalah kalimat majemuk setara sejalan.

Abstract

The issue of the lack tradition of reading among students needs attention and solution. Students need to be inspired, motivated, and facilitated so diligent and intense reading. For the progress of the study, reading is the basic skills are constantly required by the student. In the context of a student in college, an important reading skill by a student is critical reading skills. Critical reading skills involve aspects of critical thinking. Students trying to explore what were stated in the reading material and trying to explore the meaning. A critical reading activity not just memorize, but students with critical reading skills is possible does not accept what is presented, even college students understand the concept of what she or he had. Basically, when someone doing critical reading activity, he did it with thoughtful, attentive, insightful, analytical, evaluative, and instead want to find mistakes the author. Based on the facts and phenomena, critical reading skills so necessary for a college student. This study aims to describe the level of critical reading skills in college students majoring in Islamic Banking IV semester academic year 2012/2013. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach. This research uses the descriptive method. The population in this research is the whole Islamic Banking Majors semester IV amounted to 125. This research sample taken using proportional random sampling. Based on the model of random sample research, determined that Islamic Banking Majors semester IV class B and D of 59 people. The results showed that in general a student majoring in Islamic Banking Semester IV is quite skilled in the critical reading of a text. It is reflected in the statistical data indicating that the average value of the total of the skills of critical reading of a text on Islamic Banking majors semester IV is at number 77,35 and is skilled enough to qualify. Specifically, the percentage of the skill level of every aspect of critical reading on Islamic Banking Majors Semester IV can be outlined as follows, (1) aspects of skills to determine the facts in the text represents 22.5% of the total critical reading skills, (2) aspects of skills to determine the opinion in the text represents 22.2% of the total critical reading skills, (3) aspects of skills conclude text content representing 20.3% of the total critical reading skills, (4) aspects of skills analyze the use of the language within the text represent 15.7% of the total critical reading skills, (5) aspects of skills opined against text content represent 19,3% of the total critical reading skills.

Abstract

The ability to speak is the greatest gift that God has given to humans. The ability to speak is what distinguishes humans from other living things. Dementia is a disease that can affect a person's memory, thinking ability, behavior, emotions, and language skills. In this article, the author will discuss about one of the language disorders, namely dementia as a language decline. These disorders can affect the way of thinking, making it difficult to express words when communicating. The choice of sentences that are often repeated when speaking is a special sign of people with dementia. Even when communicating, the conversation is often interrupted because people with dementia do not remember what is being said, so they often change topics. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, namely the interview and note-taking technique. Sources of data obtained from respondents who are people with dementia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of phonological disorders and the causes of language disorders in children aged 7 years with oral apraxia. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Qualitative descriptive is used to analyze and develop data that researchers get from research sites. The subject of this study was a 7 years old child who suffered from oral apraxia with the initials NP. The research data is in the form of speech between the subject and the speech partner. The techniques used are interviews, observations, listening, and notes. The theory used is the theory of phonology and syllables. The results of the study showed that children aged 7 years with oral apraxia experienced some form of cognitive phonological disturbance, namely phoneme pronunciation disorders in the form of phoneme deletion and phoneme changes. Researchers also found factors that cause language disorders in children with verbal apraxia, namely internal factors and external factors.

Abstract

In its development, Indonesian is inseparable from the influence of foreign languages. There are many words in the Indonesian language that come from other languages, which are then used by the community for daily language activities in Indonesian. The word is also called the term absorption word. This research aims to analyze phoneme changes through the writing of vowel and consonant phonemes and describe foreign language absorption words into Indonesian, this research focuses on Dutch as a foreign language that is absorbed into Indonesian. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative method and also comparative linguistic approach. Therefore, this research will describe Dutch and Indonesian in detail. The data in this research is in the form of Dutch and Indonesian vocabulary. The data sources are Dutch dictionary and Indonesian dictionary. The data in this study were obtained using documentation, listening, and note-taking techniques. The results of this study show that there are changes in phonemes, namely changes in vowel phonemes and consonant phonemes which are characterized by changes in letters and pronunciation and there is also absorption of Dutch in Indonesian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemerolehan bahasa kedua (Bahasa Indonesia) oleh penutur asing yang berasal dari Pattani, Thailand. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah penutur laki-laki berbahasa Melayu Pattani, berusia 18 tahun, berinisial A. Data dalam penelitian berupa tuturan yang diperoleh dari penutur asing berbahasa Melayu Pattani yang sedang menjalani studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia di UIN Jakarta. Peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara menggunakan alat perekam suara dan teknik simak-catat. Hasil yang termuat dalam tuturan penutur berbahasa Melayu Pattani berinisial A, ditemukan tuturan, yakni data senyapan berisi dan senyapan diam sebanyak 12 data dan pemerolehan bahasa Indonesia menggunakan campuran bahasa Melayu dengan bahasa Indonesia yaitu data campur kode sebanyak 9 data. Pemerolehan bahasa kedua (Bahasa Indonesia) yang dilakukan oleh penutur asing A yang berbahasa Melayu Pattani sehingga timbul penelitian fenomena bahasa dari aspek fonologi dan aspek sintaksis yaitu fenomena senyapan dan campur kode.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk dan faktor-faktor penyebab gangguan irama bicara yang dialami oleh remaja berusia 20 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tekniktes, simak dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pada tes membaca, Hl mengalami gangguan irama yang “cepat” dengan dengan artikulasi yang “kurang jelas” dan gangguan fonologis berupa substitusi fonem. Pada wawancara, irama berbicara Hl masih tergolong “cepat” dan artikulasinya pun juga “kurang jelas” sehingga muncul gangguan sintaksis berupa kesulitan menyusun urutan kata secara tepat. Faktor-faktor yang membuat Hl mengalami gangguan irama bicara ialah kurangnya frekuensi berbicara dan berkomunikasi. Faktor internal atau psikologis yang membuat Hl kesulitan berbicara adalah rasa tidak percaya diri atau grogi sehingga membuatnya terburu-buru dalam menyelesaikan tuturannya.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the forms of verbs for men and women grammatically and social side; describe the semantic types of verbs for men and women grammatically and social side in the comments column of Narasi Newsroom’s Youtube. The research method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data in this study are the use of verbs used by men and women in the YouTube Narration Newsroom comments column. Data collection techniques consist of documentation techniques, comprehending and note-taking techniques. Data were analyzed using verb theory and language and gender theory. The result showed that there are 205 forms of verbs used by men, 238 forms of verbs used by women, 114 semantic types of verbs used by men, and 135 semantic types of verbs used by women. Characteristics of verb forms based on social side between men and women languages could be seen in the terms of diction and morphology in the form of affixation. Based on the aspect meaning, women use symbolic language while men use direct language at problem points. Women interact by increasing solidarity while men by maintaining power and status. The topic of conversation for women focuses on affective functions while men on competence.

Abstract

Pemahaman yang baik terhadap perkembangan bahasa pada anak mendukung strategi intervensi yang efektif dalam mengatasi kesulitan berbahasa pada anak. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji perkembangan aspek fonologi yang meliputi fonem vokal, konsonan, dan diftong pada subjek GSA yang berusia dua tahun. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang didapatkan berasal dari kanal akun youtube yang berupa rekaman video seperti vlog. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi, simak, dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek GSA sudah mampu melafalkan fonem vokal, konsonan, dan diftong dengan baik. Namun, masih terdapat beberapa fonem vokal, konsonan, dan diftong yang belum dilafalkan dengan tepat, misalnya vokal /i/ dan /a/; konsonan bilabial /p/, /m/, konsonan apicodental /t/, konsonan apikoalveolar /l/, /n/, /r/, /s/, konsonan laminopalatal /c/, /ñ/, konsonan dorsovelar /g/, dan semivokal /w/. Strategi yang digunakan oleh subjek untuk mengatasi kesulitan pelafalan kata dan fonem meliputi kontraksi kata, pelesapan fonem, dan substitusi fonem.
