Abstract

In March-July 2022, the research was conducted using the case study method on board the Mekar Baru Putra 3 Motor Ship based at the Nusantara Fishing Port in Pekalongan, Central Java. The aim is to determine the effect of the speed of purse seine net circumference on fish catches at KM Mekar Baru Putra 3 which is based on Pekalongan VAT. Data collection was carried out by survey method following fishing activities conducted by KM Mekar Baru Putra 3. The data collected are primary data in the form of: a) net circumference time, b) number of catches. Data was collected using stopwatches and stationery, then analyzed by regression analysis. In this study, the normality test results showed a significant value of 0.200. The value is greater than 0.05 which means the data is normally distributed. The results of the analysis were then carried out to see the linearity of pulling the wrinkle rope against the catch. From the test results, it is known that the value of Sig. deviation from linearity is 0.022 < 0.05, it is said that there is no linear relationship between the circular time speed and the catch.

Abstract

Zinc and copper are micronutrients that are the factors that support microalgae growth rate besides macronutrients, CO2, temperature, salinity, and pH. Growth of Nannochlopsis sp was observed to determine the influence of the addition of Zn and Cu concentration. Microalgae cultivation was located outdoors on the semi-mass scale using 800 L medium on mesophilic condition in 3 treatments with the addition of 1 ppm, 3 ppm, and 5 ppm concentrations of Zn and Cu metals. Cells density was calculated using a hemocytometer, and the absorbed metal content was measured by AAS. The study aimed to test the growth response of Nannochloropsis sp cells to Zn and Cu metals. The growth rate of microalgae was observed for the addition of Zn and Cu concentration in the cultivation medium. The result showed the highest Nannochloropsis sp growth rate for Zn addition was 0.053/day and for Cu addition was 0.279/day. Between Zn and Cu addition, the highest growth rate was observed in the addition of 1 ppm Cu metal (Cu1) which was equal to 0.279/day. This shows that adding micronutrients are not automatically will increase the growth rate of microalgae as well.

Abstract

Padat dan tingginya aktivitas di wilayah pesisir Dusun Tangkolak mengakibatkan tekanan dan turut menjadi penyumbang sampah serta pencemaran di wilayah perairan pesisir Dusun Tangkolak. Selain itu, musibah terjadinya tumpahan minyak yang disebabkan oleh bocornya pipa Pertamina yang berada di kawasan perairan pantai wilayah Karawang juga menyebabkan terjadinya pencemaran perairan di kawasan pesisir Karawang. Dampak tersebut kemudian menyebabkan terjadinya degradasi daerah penangkapan ikan dan pergeseran daerah penangkapan ikan. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah menduga wilayah perairan yang potensial sebagai daerah penangkapan ikan dengan menggunakan alat tangkap bagan tancap di wilayah pesisir Dusun Tangkolak, Kabupaten Karawang. Pelaksanaan penelitian selama enam bulan (Maret-Agustus 2021). Data penelitian dikumpulkan secara insitu untuk parameter oseanografi yaitu suhu, salinitas, pH, sedangkan pendugaan daerah penangkapan ikan dikumpulkan melalui data citra satelit Aqua Modis untuk parameter suhu dan klorofil-a. Analisis dilakukan secara spasial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dugaan wilayah potensial penangkapan ikan adalah pada koordinat -5.8360 LU 107.5080 BT sampai dengan -5.9440 LU 107.7090 BT pada bulan Maret dan -5.5610 LU 107.5510 BT sampai dengan -5.9620 LU 107.7540 BT pada bulan April. Sedangkan bulan Mei sampai dengan Agustus adalah bulan paceklik untuk nelayan bagan di Karawang. Kata kunci: aqua modis, bagan tancap, daerah penangkapan ikan, Karawang
