Abstract

Many students find redox reactions challenging due to educators focusing solely on imparting knowledge without real-world connections. This approach limits critical thinking and reduces students' self-efficacy. To address these issues, fostering creativity and developing interactive learning materials are essential solutions. This research aims to create contextual teaching and learning (CTL) based interactive learning media for redox reactions. This media focuses on validity, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing students' critical thinking skills and self-efficacy. The research framework employed in this study follows a research and development method with an analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) model, with a research subject of 31 students. The results showed that interactive learning media was declared valid by media experts and material experts with an average score of 92.50% (high validity category). Media is very practical based on readability tests, students' responses, teachers' responses and observation sheets average percentage of 85.92%. It is also proven to increase critical thinking skills in high effective category (N-gain 0.81), and increase self-efficacy in moderate category (N-gain 0.65).

Abstract

Improving Students’ Self-Efficacy in Studying Salt Hydrolysis Using the SCCrT Model. Objectives: This study aims to determine the differences in the Self-Efficacy of students who learn to use the SCCrT (Scientific Critical Creative Thinking) model with the DI (Direct Instruction) model. Methods: This research is an experimental study of quasi-experimental design with a sample of 69 people consisting of 2 classes with data collection techniques using a questionnaire consisting of 15 statements using four aspects of self-efficacy. Data analysis was descriptive quantitative, and quantitative inferential with SPSS version 25. Findings:  The application of the SCCrT model affects students' self-efficacy acquisition, which is characterized by differences in the self-efficacy results with classes that apply the DI model with an average significance value of 0.00. Conclusion: There are differences in students’ self-efficacy between classes that study with the SCCrT model and courses that use the DI model. The SCCrT model performed better than the DI model in the average category, and the DI model performed well in the salt hydrolysis material category. Keywords: self-efficacy, salt hydrolysis, SCCrT model.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v13.i2.202322

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and STEAM-oriented learning have received increasing attention as educational technologies and pedagogical approaches that may relate to 21st-century competencies, including the 6C framework (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, citizenship, and character). However, the intersection of AR–AI–STEAM research with wetland and environmental education remains conceptually fragmented, and evidence is still limited regarding how this literature is structured and evolving. This study conducts a bibliometric mapping to profile publication trends, collaboration patterns, and conceptual structures of AR–AI–STEAM literature with 6C-related discourse in wetland/environmental learning. A total of 755 records were retrieved from Scopus on 12 February 2025 (covering 2019–2025), and an AI-assisted exploration using ResearchRabbit was employed as a complementary tool to expand citation trails and semantically proximate literature candidates. Performance analysis and science-mapping techniques were conducted using Bibliometrix (R) and VOSviewer. The results show a marked increase in publications after 2022, with China, India, and the United States among the most productive contributors. Keyword co-occurrence indicates “artificial intelligence” as a dominant conceptual hub, while wetland-related terms appear peripheral and weakly connected, suggesting a thematic gap between emerging AI-driven education discourse and ecologically grounded wetland learning contexts. This study contributes a structured overview of the research landscape and identifies underexplored linkages that can inform future empirical and design-based studies in wetland education. Because the 2025 records were retrieved early in the year (12 February 2025), year-to-year comparisons involving 2025 should be interpreted as provisional.

Abstract

The importance of scientific literacy has grown significantly in this technological era; however, students' proficiency in this area remains inadequate. To address this issue, the study developed an ethnoscience-based e-magazine, utilizing the Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) model to enhance students' comprehension of acid-base concepts. The development process followed the ADDIE model, and a preliminary trial was conducted involving 28 eleventh-grade science students from SMAN 1 Alalak. Data were collected using both test and non-test instruments, revealing that the SCT-based ethnoscience e-magazine exhibited excellent quality. The e-magazine was comprehensively validated as highly suitable, encompassing its content, presentation, language, and media design. Furthermore, it proved highly practical for use in both individual and group learning. High N-gain scores further confirmed its effectiveness in enhancing students' scientific literacy

Abstract

Tinggiran Darat Village, Barito Kuala Regency, possesses significant pineapple production potential but faces challenges in utilizing pineapple peel waste and fluctuating market prices for pineapples. Inadequate waste management poses a risk of environmental pollution. The Community Empowerment Partnership Program (PKM) aims to empower pineapple farmers by transforming pineapple peel waste into economically valuable products, including ecoenzyme and environmentally friendly liquid detergent soap. Adopting a participatory approach based on green economy principles, the program involved 35 members of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) and youth organizations. The proposed solutions included intensive training and continuous mentoring in the production of ecoenzyme from pineapple waste, product diversification into environmentally friendly detergents, and the introduction of effective marketing strategies. The program implementation was met with high enthusiasm from participants, evidenced by their active engagement in Q&A sessions and full involvement in practical activities. Evaluation using pre-test and post-test questionnaires demonstrated a significant increase in participants' average understanding scores. Furthermore, community perception of detergent products derived from ecoenzyme ingredients was positive. Consequently, this activity has successfully had a positive impact on the Tinggiran Darat community in managing organic waste, while fostering a sustainable economy through local innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the validity of wetland-based chemistry learning media with the SCCrT model supported by Virtual Workspace to improve 6C skills in the Society 5.0 era. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) model, including validation by material and media experts. The results of validation by five experts showed that the learning media had very high validity (average score of 90%), especially in the aspects of curriculum suitability (92%) and relevance to environmental issues (91%). This media successfully integrates the concept of chemistry with sustainability issues and supports the development of 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, collaboration, and civic thinking. These results show that the learning media developed is effective and relevant to improving the quality of chemistry learning and students' environmental awareness
