Abstract

The development of industry and human living system recently bring effect toward the air quality. Carbon monoxide (CO) which is one of the air pollutant produced by the imperfect ignation which contain carbon of industry, vehicles, and other activities. The existance of carbon monoxide (CO) which is difficult to recognize because of it’s characters which are colourless, cannot be felt or tasteless, cannot be smelt or have no smell, cannot be seen by bare eyes, it means that it needs a tool to help human detect the existance of carbon monoxide. This importance of detector tool of carbon monoxide is because carbon monoxide is quite dangerous for human health if it’s degree is over the limit. There are quite cases of poisoned people who finally died. In this research, the effectiveness test of the use of MQ-7 censor which is integrated with the Blynk application compared with the CO-meter is done. The result shows that MQ-7 is effective to be used in detection and measurement the degree of CO in the air. The integration with Blynk application on the smartphone helps researcher to do the monitoring from everywhere, as long as it is connected to the internet. The price which is more economical also becomes one of the considerations, so CO detector by using MQ-7 censor inegrated with the Blynk application can be done by many groups of society, either industries or individuals.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum for science education trains students to learn independently and creatively. The teaching and learning process in it uses laboratory-based learning, where students are given the opportunity to experience and do things themselves. Throughout the process, they observe an object, analyze it, prove it, and draw their own conclusions about an object, situation, or process. These activities can enhance students' understanding. Process skills in science are skills that can help students solve various problems, and by applying laboratory activities, they can develop these process skills. The classification of science process skills is divided into two categories: basic process skills include observation, classification, measurement, and inference. Meanwhile, integrated science process skills include formulating hypotheses, identifying and controlling variables, conducting experiments, and interpreting data. Through science process skills, the concepts acquired by students will be more meaningful because their thinking skills will be further developed. Information technology and computers have developed so rapidly and have an incredible impact. Through virtual laboratories, the learning process becomes more interesting and interactive, teaching time can be reduced, the quality of learning can be improved, and the teaching and learning process can be done anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

Weather is a very important factor in supporting various human activities. However, weather is a natural event that keeps on changing due to various air conditions that affect it. One way to anticipate weather changes that may occur early is to create a system that can predict weather changes. Fuzzy logic is one of the methods that can be used in system prediction to find out the cause at a certain time and place. In this system, two fuzzy logic methods were used, they are the Mamdani and Sugeno methods, with three supporting criteria, including air temperature, humidity, and air pressure. In this research, data levers were carried out in June 2022 and resulted in a percentage accuracy of 73.34% for the Mamdani method and 70% for the Sugeno method.
