Abstract

This study is focused on the procedure of verbs’ translation in English (source language) into Indonesian language (target language), and how the mapping of action verb meanings in the procedural text. The research uses qualitative method, employing a cooking book recipe “Step by Step Cooking Balinese Delightful for Everyday” as its data source and its Indonesian translation. The theory used in this research is the theory of Vinay and Darbelnet (in Venuti, 2000) about translation procedures that include borrowing, calque, literal translation, transposition, modulation, equivalence, and adaptation. The theory of applying the natural semantic metalanguage approach (NSM) proposed by Wierzbicka (1996) is used to discuss the mapping of English action verbs. The theory is applied in order to explain how the Indonesian action verb meanings are mapped into English, with the exponential mapping technique. The description of the mapping meanings including the exponential mapping to the action verb of the Indonesian language has produced a new dimension. This new dimension turns out to be able to explore the meaning of the lexical item including the one that has even a subtle difference, therefore there is no more swirling of meaning. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh dan pengimplementasian Protokol Kesehatan terhadap MICE yang berlangsung di Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Kualitatif, yaitu penelitian tentang informasi yang dikumpulkan dan dinyatakan dalam bentuk kata-kata dan disusun dalam kalimat. Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center adalah salah satu hotel di Bali yang sudah menerapkan Protokol Kesehatan dalam berlangsungnya MICE, sekaligus sebagai convention center di Bali yang melaksanakan simulasi acara konferensi dan wisuda dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut membuat dipilihnya Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center sebagai lokasi Simulasi Protokol Kesehatan oleh Kemenparekraf, juga memiliki fasilitas Akomodasi, Transportasi dan Restoran yang lengkap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengimplementasian Protokol Kesehatan di BNDCC sangat ketat sehingga hal ini dinilai sangat efektif dan sangat berpengaruh bagi kelangsungan MICE Event yang telah berjalan di BNDCC sesuai dengan teori. Penerapan Protokol CHSE bagi Pariwisata MICE di Bali sangat penting, hal ini dilakukan demi kestabilan berjalannya MICE Event di Bali pada masa Pandemi seperti sekarang ini khususnya di kawasan Nusa Dua.

Abstract

Social media marketing adalah upaya pemasaran yang menggunakan media sosial sebagai salurannya. Social Media Marketing dapat digunakan sebagai bagian dari strategi bisnis untuk membangun sebuah komunitas, keterlibatan dan interaksi terus menerus dengan pelanggan. Word of Mouth adalah pernyataan tentang produk yang disampaikan kepada orang lain (Artanti, 2016). Word of Mouth yang diperoleh dari seseorang yang memiliki kecintaan terhadap sebuah produk lebih nyata dan jujur. Tujuan penelitian ini Untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui apakah Media Sosial Marketing Instagram dan Word of Mouth berpengaruh terhadap minat berkunjung di Savaya Day Club Bali. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara parsial antara Sosial Media Marketing terhadap Minat Berkunjung ke Savaya Dayclub Bali hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari analisis regresi ?1 (0,203), dan nilai signifikan (0,000)<(0,05), dan ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara parsial antara Word of Mouth terhadap Minat Berkunjung ke Savaya Dayclub Bali hal ini dibuktikan dari analisis regresi ?2 (0,572) dan nilai signifikan (0,000)<(0,05) serta ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan secara simultan antara Sosial Media Marketing dan Word of Mouth terhadap minat berkunjung ke Savaya Dayclub Bali. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai analisis regresi Y= 0,195 + 0,203X1 + 0,572 X2 + ? serta daat dilihat dari Uji F test diperoleh nilai nilai signifikansi 0,000 ? 0,05. Social media marketing is a marketing effort that uses social media as a channel. Social Media Marketing can be used as part of a business strategy to build a community, interaction and continuous interaction with customers. Word of mouth is a statement about a product that is conveyed to others (Artanti, 2016). Word of Mouth obtained from someone who has a love for a product is more real and honest. The purpose of this study is to analyze and find out whether Instagram and Word of Mouth Social Media Marketing have an effect on interest in visiting Savaya Day Club Bali. The results of this study are that there is a positive and partially significant effect between Social Media Marketing on interest in Savaya Dayclub Bali, this can be proven from regression analysis ?1 (0.203), and the value (0.000) < ? (0.05), and there is an influence Positive and partially significant between Word of Mouth on Interest growing significantly to Savaya Dayclub Bali this is evidenced from analysis ?2 (0.572) and value (0.000) < ? (0.05) and there is a positive and simultaneous influence between Social Media Marketing and Word of Mouth on interest in visiting Savaya Dayclub Bali. This is evidenced from the value of the regression analysis Y = 0.195 + 0.203X1 + 0.572 X2 + and the data from the F test obtained a significance value of 0,000 ? 0,05.

Abstract

Java Lotus Hotel adalah salah satu hotel di Jember dan mempunyai 121 kamar yang memiliki beda tipe dan juga memiliki swimming pool yang berada dirooftop hotel tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan standar operasional prosedur bellboy di Java Lotus Jember. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 4 bulan dimulai dari tanggal 21 Januari 2022 sampai dengan 21 Mei 2022. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi dengan pengumpulan data secara checklist. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa Penerapan Standar Operasional Prosedur Bellboy di Java Lotus Jember sudah memenuhi syarat dengan baik. Java Lotus Hotel is one of the hotels in Jember and has 121 rooms that have different types and also has a swimming pool located on the rooftop of the hotel. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of standard operating bellboy procedures in Java Lotus Jember. This research was conducted for 4 months starting from January 21, 2022 to May 21, 2022. The data analysis technique used in this study used observation techniques with checklist data collection. The results of this study found that the implementation of the Bellboy Standard Operating Procedure in Java Lotus Jember was well qualified.

Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif adalah metode inkuiri yang menekankan pada pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan sumber non-numerik lainnya untuk memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang suatu fenomena tertentu. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti akan menggunakan wawancara mendalam sebagai metode pengumpulan data primer untuk mendapatkan data yang kaya dan detail tentang sikap konsumen terhadap produk makanan organik. Desain penelitian akan menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional, di mana data akan dikumpulkan pada satu titik waktu. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari pelanggan yang pernah makan di restoran Bali yang dipilih, dan ukuran sampel akan ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kriteria inklusi untuk populasi penelitian adalah pelanggan yang telah mengkonsumsi setidaknya satu item makanan organik di restoran tersebut dalam enam bulan terakhir. Penelitian akan dilakukan di Ubud Moksa Restaurant yang terletak di Jalan Raya Sanggingan, Kedewatan, Ubud, Bali. Temuan menjelaskan berbagai pertimbangan yang membentuk preferensi konsumen untuk makanan organik dan menyoroti pentingnya faktor eksternal dalam mempengaruhi sikap dan pilihan tersebut. Kesimpulannya, saran yang diberikan di atas berasal dari wawasan yang diperoleh melalui analisis sikap konsumen terhadap makanan organik. Qualitative research is an inquiry method that emphasizes collecting data through observation, interviews, and other non-numeric sources to provide an in-depth understanding of a particular phenomenon. In this study, researchers will use in-depth interviews as a primary data collection method to obtain rich and detailed data about consumer attitudes towards organic food products. The research design will use a cross-sectional study design, where data will be collected at one point in time. The study population consisted of customers who had eaten at the selected Balinese restaurant, and the sample size was determined using a purposive sampling technique. The inclusion criteria for the study population were customers who had consumed at least one organic food item at the restaurant in the last six months. The research will be conducted at Ubud Moksa Restaurant which is located on Jalan Raya Sanggingan, Kedewatan, Ubud, Bali. The findings shed light on the various considerations that shape consumer preferences for organic food and highlight the importance of external factors in influencing these attitudes and choices. In conclusion, the suggestions given above are derived from insights gained through an analysis of consumer attitudes towards organic food.

Abstract

Dodol selaku makanan tradisional khas Indonesia yang termasuk dalam makanan pencuci mulut dengan berbahan dasar tepung beras , tepung ketan, santan kelapa dan gula. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah guna memahami kualitas dodol melalui bahan campuran wortel. Metode penelitian ini ialah metode penelitian kuantitatif melalui jenis penelitian eksperimental dan Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilaksanakan melalui observasi dan kuesioner. Ketika menetapkan kualitas dari dodol wortel dinilai melalui menggunakan Teknik uji organoleptic yang diujikan kepada 30 panelis melalui aspek yang di uji meliputi aspek rasa , warna , tekstur dan aroma. Temuannya yang sudah dilaksanakan dengan 2 buah dodol. Yaitu dodol tanpa campuran wortel (sample A) dan dodol dengan campuran wortel (sample B) selaku pembanding. Berlandaskan temuannya didapati dodol tanpa campuran wortel (sample A) memiliki kualitas rasa enak, warna cukup menarik,, tekstur kenyal, dan aroma cukup sedap sedangkan dodol dengan campuran wortel (sample B) memiliki kualitas rasa sangat enak, warna sangat menarik , tekstur kenyal dan aroma sedap. Dodol is a traditional Indonesian food which is included in desserts made from rice flour, glutinous rice flour, coconut milk and sugar. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of dodol with carrot mixture. The research method applied in this study is a quantitative research method with experimental research types and data collection techniques carried out by observation and questionnaires. In determining the quality of carrot dodol, it was assessed using an organoleptic test technique that was tested on 30 panelists with the aspects tested covering aspects of taste , color , texture and aroma. The results of research that has been done with 2 lunkheads. Namely dodol without a mixture of carrots (sample A) and dodol with a mixture of carrots (sample B) as a comparison. Based on the results of the study it was found that dodol without carrot mixture (sample A) had good taste quality, quite attractive color, chewy texture, and quite delicious aroma while dodol with carrot mixture (sample B) had very good taste quality , very attractive color, texture chewy and smells good.

Abstract

This study was aimed at knowing whether the final product of composition which is given detailed feedback (error correction) performs better than of that given global feedback. The accessible population of the study was the fourth semester students of D3 tourism of The International Bali Tourism Institute, academic year 2017/2018. The study used quasi-experimental, nonrandomized control group, pretest-posttest design. This was so because the experiment was conducted in classroom setting in which the classes had been organized into classes A and B. The result of the study revealed that there was no significant difference of the two groups – experimental and control group. The result showed that the two groups had the same ability in writing paragraph. From the result concluded that the final product of composition written by students which is given detailed feedback (error correction) perform the same as of those given global feedback.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a momentum for major changes for tourism workers, who have largely lost their livelihoods and are experiencing economic hardship. The corona virus outbreak has led to massive job losses and reductions in income across Bali. Covid-19 restrictions are ravaging the tourism sector which is the main source of economy for Balinese and its surrounding island. Many have returned to their hometowns. And not being able to pay for the necessities of life, such as boarding house, electricity, food, and the difficulty of paying the existing instalments. The purpose of this study is to examine how the views and enthusiasm of hotel workers at the operational level towards stock investment. This quantitative descriptive research used mix methods from 89 respondents aged 20-50 years, both from the back office and front office staff. The result of this research is that stocks become an acceptable instrument for workers aged 20-30. Stock literacy only works for millennial generation operational workers and back-office workers. Stock literacy is given with more frequency by creating WhatsApp group discussion. So that the understanding of stocks will improve.

Abstract

The usage of education technology into vocational school programs, can help vocational schools stay current with industry trends and provide students with the skills and knowledge needed for success in their chosen careers. However, the effective language instruction in vocational schools not only enhances students' linguistic abilities but also contributes to their overall employability and success in their chosen careers. The educators also known how to deliver the topic effectively by choosing an appropriate education technology due to the different educational background of the students. The educators must approach the unique needs of vocational students to make significant impact on their language proficiency and professional readiness. In this case, the researcher investigated interactive video as one of the media used by the lecturers. The investigation implemented qualitative method to gain the data. The result showed that the quality of the interactive video was good and all respondents prefer to utilize the interactive video rather than traditional video.
