Abstract

This study implements an associative research design with the goal of discovering the nature of the relationship that exists between Tax Literacy Factors (X1), Financial Situation (X2), and Individual Taxpayer Compliance (Y), with Taxpayer Awareness serving as a moderating variable (Z). Data was collected using questionnaires with a rating system called Likert that included five potential replies. Google Forms is utilized to ease the participant collection procedure. The study's population comprised people who completed questions using Google Forms. A variety of data analysis procedures are employed to investigate the obtained data. These processes include validity and reliability testing, classical assumption tests, linear regression and MRA, determination coefficient tests, simultaneous F tests, and partial T tests. According to the determination test, the variables included in this study accounted for 99.5% of the variance, with the remaining 5% affected by unspecified factors. This study's concurrent findings reveal that tax literacy and financial situation have a considerable impact on individual taxpayer compliance, and taxpayer awareness can attenuate the effects of tax literacy factors and financial condition on oribadi taxpayer compliance in Pontianak. The data management technique is carried out utilizing IBM SPSS 26

Abstract

Research Aims: This research aims to examine the effects of increased levels of herding on abnormal returns during rare events.Design/Methodology/Approach: Time series regression including all stocks across 9 sectors in the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 1997 to 2020, totaling 5,615 observations is used. The primary model is predicated on three factors derived from Fama-French and prospect theory to incorporate herding as a primary risk factor in assessing the impact of on abnormal returns during rare events.Research Results: The results show that various events produce impacts on herding behavior across different sectors. During bearish market conditions, this behavior manifests significant negative effect leading to greater abnormal returns. Conversely, positive and significant anti-herding behavior is observed in bullish market conditions. Rare events do not necessarily induce herding behavior but may lead to anti-herding behavior.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: In this research, the variables are developed from the Efficient Market Hypothesis, Capital Asset Pricing Model, prospect theory, and market integration theory. The estimation model is grounded in prospect theory and the contribution addresses the research gaps.Practitioners/Policy Implications: The provision of insights to stakeholders in the capital market regarding the impact of rare events on financial behaviors influences investors' decision-making processes in stock investments.Research Limitations/Implications: The measurement of herding refers to Chang et al. (2000) due to the availability of aggregate data from the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Comprehensive micro-level data is not unavailable and the accessibility of complete micro-level data can be conducted. The presence of these data in the capital markets of other countries should be investigated.

Abstract

This study uses an associative quantitative method to analyze the relationship between the independent variables (Price Earning and Return On Equity) and the moderating variable (Debt to Equity Ratio) on the dependent variable (firm value) in the Property & Real Estate sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2020-2022. The normality test results show a data distribution that is close to normal, while the multicollinearity, autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, and linearity tests do not reveal significant problems in the data used. Regression analysis shows that Debt to Equity Ratio has a significant influence on firm value, especially when considered alongside moderating variables such as Debt to Equity Ratio. These findings provide a deeper understanding of the factors that influence firm value in the Property & Real Estate sector in Indonesia. Overall, this study makes a significant contribution to understanding capital market dynamics and the factors that influence firm value in a sector that is crucial to the country's economic growth. The implications of the findings can serve as a basis for better decision-making in the financial management of companies in the Property & Real Estate sector, as well as a guide for further research in this area.

Abstract

This study set out to explore how four financial ratios—DAR (Debt to Asset Ratio), DER (Debt to Equity Ratio), ROA (Return on Assets), and ROE (Return on Equity)—influence the value of banking businesses listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Using a quantitative method, researchers analyzed the financial statements of IDX-listed companies in the financial sector through multiple linear regression. To ensure the reliability of the regression model, it was tested for normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation using classical assumption tests. However, the results showed that none of the four variables—DAR, DER, ROA, or ROE—had a significant impact on firm value, either individually or collectively. This was confirmed by both the F-test and the t-test. The model’s R² value was just 0.014, meaning these variables explain only 1.4% of the changes in firm value. The remaining 98.6% is likely influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. In short, this research suggests that DAR, DER, ROA, and ROE may not be the most useful indicators for assessing the value of financial sector companies. Future studies should consider additional variables, such as broader economic conditions and internal management strategies, to gain deeper insights into what drives firm value in this industry.
