Abstract

This study addresses the rising unemployment rate among vocational graduates in Sukabumi, Indonesia, by exploring the integration of Islamic values into entrepreneurship education. The core issue lies in the mismatch between graduates’ skills and labor market needs, compounded by insufficient emphasis on ethical entrepreneurship in Islamic institutions. Through a systematic literature review, this research analyzes how Islamic principles honesty (sidq), trustworthiness (amanah), justice (‘adl), and excellence (ihsan) can create sustainable, ethical businesses. Data were extracted from Scopus, Google Scholar, and peer-reviewed journals (2014–2024) using keywords like "Islamic entrepreneurship" and "halal business." Results demonstrate that these values strengthen customer trust, operational transparency, and long-term business resilience while fostering socio-economic equity. The study concludes that embedding Islamic ethics into vocational curricula can cultivate entrepreneurial graduates who balance profit with social impact. Practical implications include policy recommendations for enhancing Islamic entrepreneurship programs and addressing ethical gaps in modern business practices. This research contributes to the discourse on faith-based entrepreneurship and offers a framework for aligning education with market demands.

Abstract

This study investigates the contribution of mosque-based youth activities, congregational Dhuhr prayer, and Qur’an memorization (tahfizh) to the development of students’ religious character at SMP Negeri 5 Satu Atap Gegerbitung, Sukabumi Regency, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach with a causal-correlational design, the study involved a population of 237 students, from which 70 respondents were selected through proportional sampling techniques. The findings reveal that youth mosque activities do not exhibit a statistically significant contribution to students' religious character (p = 0.123 > 0.05; t = 1.563 < t-table = 1.994). However, congregational Dhuhr prayer and Qur’an memorization were found to significantly contribute to students’ religious character. Specifically, congregational prayer showed a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.652 with a determination coefficient (r²) of 0.425 (42.5%), while Qur’an memorization demonstrated a stronger correlation (r = 0.971) with a determination coefficient (r²) of 0.943 (94.3%). Furthermore, the multiple linear regression analysis confirmed that all independent variables collectively contribute to the religious character of students, yielding a combined correlation coefficient (r) of 0.974 and a coefficient of determination (r²) of 0.949 (94.9%). These findings underscore the significant role of school-based religious practices in shaping students’ moral and spiritual development.

Abstract

This study explores the role of accreditation-standard-oriented supervision in enhancing the quality of education at STAI Kharisma Cicurug Sukabumi, a faith-based higher education institution. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that supervision aligned with national accreditation standards significantly contributes to educational quality improvement. Key supervisory components such as structured planning, performance monitoring, constructive feedback, and systematic follow-up have led to notable enhancements in lecturer competencies, curriculum relevance, and student satisfaction. However, the implementation process is not without challenges, including limited human resources, inadequate infrastructure, and insufficient understanding of accreditation mechanisms among academic staff. A distinctive contribution of this study is its focus on how participatory supervision can be effectively applied within an Islamic higher education context—demonstrating that such institutions can adopt modern quality assurance strategies without compromising their religious identity. The study underscores the importance of building supervisory capacity through regular training, integrating digital technologies to streamline supervision processes, and increasing institutional investment in quality assurance infrastructures. These efforts are essential to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement in meeting accreditation standards. The findings offer valuable insights for policymakers, administrators, and educators seeking to improve academic quality and institutional performance in similar educational settings.

Abstract

This study addresses the crucial relationship between Arabic language acquisition and Qur'an memorization in Islamic educational settings. The research aims to quantitatively measure the influence of Arabic language learning on Qur'an memorization ability among eighth-grade students at MTs Al-Ma'arij Bojonggenteng Sukabumi. Using a descriptive-correlational quantitative approach with total sampling of 28 students, data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using statistical methods. The results demonstrate significant positive correlations, with 100% of students showing Arabic material comprehension, 100% achieving fluent Arabic vocabulary pronunciation, and 92.85% mastering proper Arabic intonation. The study concludes that Arabic language proficiency substantially enhances Qur'an memorization capabilities through improved semantic understanding and phonetic accuracy. These findings imply the necessity of developing integrated curricula that combine linguistic and spiritual approaches in Islamic education, suggesting that Arabic language instruction should be systematically aligned with Qur'anic studies to optimize memorization outcomes. The research contributes to the development of more effective pedagogical models in religious education that leverage linguistic competence for enhanced spiritual learning.
