Abstract

Collaboration between the Village Government and various stakeholders to increase community participation in conserving the environment needs to be done. Ngesrepbalong Village, located in Limbangan District, Kendal Regency, has a wealth of diverse natural potential. This community service activity aims to strengthen knowledge and the role of the community in environmental conservation in their area. Activities are carried out using community education and consultation methods. The implementation of strengthening environmental education targets groups of teenagers and children. Activities include the introduction and practice of composting, planting trees, and bird watching. The hope is to strengthen the mindset of teenagers and children as future generations who participate in preserving nature. Meanwhile, the development of the Handarbeni Seedling House seeks to strengthen its role as a means of educating perennials and supporting the Mount Ungaran conservation program. Its activities include identifying the type and number of plant seeds and compiling plant barcodes containing local names, scientific names, plant benefits, and conservation status. These two programs are small efforts that need to be carried out sustainably to realize nature conservation in the forest environment, especially on the slopes of Mount Ungaran.

Abstract

Indonesia is known to the world as a mega biodiversity country because it has vibrantbiodiversity. Semarang has a unique topography starting from the beaches in thecoastal areas, lowlands to hills in the southern region. The different landscapes affectthe biodiversity in Semarang City. This study aims to analyze the distribution of vegetation and create a vegetation profile of Semarang. The results showed that each species' dominant pattern in each growth rate was relatively spread. The ability to controleach species in the community was relatively balanced. The sustainability of speciesdiversity could be maintained. Besides, it is necessary to manage and preserve vegetation types that are quite dominant and have beneficial values in terms of economy,ecology, and even socio-culture in Semarang. They can become a characteristic ofSemarang as the capital of Central Java.

Abstract

Youth is the backbone of the future of development. Indonesia's youth potential spread from Sabang to Merauke needs integrated management. This is what underlies the Government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), proclaiming a program of Regency /City Fit for Yotuh which is outlined in the Regulation of the Minister of Youth and Sports No. 11 of 2017. The city of Semarang as one of the major cities in Central Java is still in the progress of development, is expected to participate in becoming one of the Cities fit for Youth in Indonesia. Therefore this research was conducted to study the feasibility of Semarang as a City Fit for Youth. This study uses a mixed method, which combines quantitative and qualitative methods. Data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained by field surveys using data collection methods directly on data sources, through field surveys and interviews. While secondary data is obtained from documents or data from an institution or agency. The results showed that youth activities in Semarang City consisting of youth awareness activities, youth empowerment and youth development were carried out in Semarang City. These activities are the result of the organization agencies (OPD), educational institutions and private companies that target youth, high school students, students and santri and involve various related institutions and are supported by funding from the APBN, APBD, BUMN, Foundation, Private and Communities. From the conditions of the implementation of activities and the availability of youth infrastructure, the City of Semarang was considered quite feasible to become one of the Youthful Cities in Indonesia.x

Abstract

The Family of Hope Program (PKH) is one of the poverty alleviation programs organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. This conditional social assistance program aims to reduce the burden of spending and increase the income of poor and vulnerable families.  Currently the number of PKH Beneficiary Families (KPM) reaches 25,593 households. In order to make improvements to the PKH program, it is necessary to evaluate the sustainability of the program's usefulness in the future. Therefore this research was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of beneficiary families of government assistance programs (KPM PKH) in Semarang City. Besides aiming to evaluate the suitability of the community / family of beneficiaries (KPM PKH) in Semarang City based on criteria set by the Government, this study also aims to analyze the distribution of the use / utilization of government assistance by KPM PKH in Semarang City. Feasibility Study of Beneficiary Family Benefit Program (KPM PKH) Against Government Assistance Program in Semarang City is carried out using a concurrent mixed strategy. In this strategy the researcher took qualitative and quantitative data at once in a certain time span. The results showed that the district with the highest number of recipients was Semarang Utara District. Meanwhile, Tugu District is the region with the lowest number of beneficiary families. The gradual selection and verification process makes PKH acceptance in Semarang City selectively and on target (fulfilling eligibility criteria).

Abstract

The global climate problem issues have intensified lately. Many countries have agreed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that harm atmospheric conditions. However, fossil fuel use and a decrease in forest area continue to increase. The land use changes from vegetated to built areas could cause an environmental imbalance, primarily the urban heat island phenomenon. Semarang is one of the big cities in Indonesia with a relatively large urban area development condition. The population growth of Semarang City every year reaches an average of 1%, with population density in 2019 as much as 4,754 people per square kilometre. It makes the Semarang City area vulnerable to the urban heat island phenomenon. Moreover, the widespread use of the non-forest area is not matched by an increase in the area of green open space. The use of remote sensing technology, such as satellite imagery, is one of the solutions to monitor the urban heat island phenomenon in Semarang City and is used. Landsat 7 and 8 imagery types (Landsat Collection imagery) are used in this study to obtain the urban heat island value of Semarang City from 2003 to 2021. This study will explain how the temporal distribution pattern of the urban heat island phenomenon and the relationship between the urban heat island phenomenon and the existing land use in Semarang. This research is also equipped with an analysis of the environmental criticality index due to the impact of the urban heat island to find out more about how big the environment receives the effect.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat usia SD di Deliksari terhadap bencana longsor, menganalisis efektivitas edukasi bencana longsor untuk masyarakat usia SD melalui media leaflet, mengetahui sikap masyarakat usia SD di Deliksari setelah mendapat edukasi bencana longsor melalui media leaflet. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini semua masyarakat usia SD di Deliksari.Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 30 masyarakat usia SD di Deliksari kelas 4 sampai kelas 6. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan deskriptif persentase dan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat usia SD di Deliksari terhadap bencana longsor mengalami peningkatan dengan skor pre test 74,7 dengan kriteria baik dan skor post test 89,1 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil uji efektivitas media leaflet menunjukkan hasil 98% dengan kriteria sangat efektif. Tingkat sikap masyarakat usia SD setelah diberikan edukasi bencana media leaflet sebesar 74% dengan kategori responsif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat usia SD di Deliksari setelah diberikan edukasi bencana longsor menggunakan media leaflet.

Abstract

Kelurahan Tugurejo memperoleh Program Kampung Tematik didasarkan atas potensi sumber daya alam (SDM) maupun sumber daya alam (SDA) setempat. Hasil koordinasi, masyarakat Kelurahan Tugurejo bersepakat untuk mengembangkan ekonomi masyarakat yang berbasis pada potensi lokal Kelurahan Tugurejo untuk terwujudnya ekonomi lokal yang mandiri dan memiliki nilai jual yang kompetitif. Untuk mendukung program tersebut perlu dilakukan pendampingan dan bantuan fasilitasi pemasaran UMKM Kelurahan Tugurejo dalam mendukung Program Gerbang Elok. Pemecahan permasalahan optimalisasi UMKM Kelurahan Tugurejo dilakukan dengan beberapa metode pendekatan yang dilakukan secara bersama-sama, yaitu: berbasis kelompok, komprehensif, dan berbasis potensi local. Untuk mendukung branding UMKM anggota Gerbang Elok, tim pengabdian mendamipingi UMKM ke Pusat Layanan UMKM/Kerajinan Pemerintah Kota Semarang. Pada pendampingan di P3DN tersebut UMKM mitra pengabdian diberikan kesempatan konsultasi terkait produk, legalitas ijin usaha, hingga kemasan. Pada pendampingan di layanan public P3DN Pemkota Semarang, salah satu mitra UMKM, telah mendapatkan ijin usaha, berupa Ijin Usaha Berbasis Resiko, dengan Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB. Untuk mendukung branding UMKM yang ada di Kelurahan Tugurejo, tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat juga telah memberikan bantuan berupa plang UMKM Gerbang Elok. Adanya plang nama ini sebagai identitas keberadaan UMKM yang ada di Kelurahan Tugurejo. Terdapatnya branding produk UMKM anggota Gerbang Elok, menjadikan produk UMKM lebih dikenal oleh masyarakat secara luas dan meningkatkan pemasran produk-produk yang dihasilkan. Branding UMKM juga didukung adanya program P3DN Pemerintah Kota Semarang.

Abstract

Perempuan merupakan salah satu kelompok rentan yang perlu diberdayakan. Sebagaimana umumnya kondisi ibu rumah tangga, demikian pula yang dialami oleh sebagian ibu-ibu kelompok PKK Gondosari yang memiliki keterbatasan dari segi ekonomi. Diantaranya adalah karena produktivitas yang rendah. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Ibu-Ibu PKK Gondosari adalah belum seluruhnya memiliki keterampilan membuat olahan makanan beku sehat. Selain itu, mereka juga belum memiliki pengalaman dalam mengelola usaha berbasis kelompok. Di samping juga belum memiliki media pemasaran untuk produk yang akan dikembangkan. Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan anggota PKK Gondosari untuk mengolah makanan beku yang sehat. Keterampilan yang diberikan tidak hanya pada aspek produksi, namun sampai ke pemasaran. Pelatihan pembuatan makanan beku sehat dilaksanakan pada hari Minggu tanggal 24 Juli 2022. Dalam pelatihan tersebut menggunakan bahan dasar ikan untuk menambah nilai gizi dari produk olahan yang dihasilkan, yaitu nugget, rolade dan dimsum (siomay). Pelatihan pengemasan produk dan pemasaran secara digital dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 Oktober 2022. Selama pelatihan, Ibu-Ibu Anggota PKK Gondosari menunjukkan antusiasme yang baik. Secara umum seluruh anggota merasa senang dengan pengalaman dan keterampilan baru yang diperoleh. Melalui rangkaian pelatihan tersebut, para peserta meningkat keterampilannya dalam membuat berbagai variasi makanan olahan, lebih memahami cara menentukan atau memilih kemasan berdasarkan produk yang dihasilkan dan memanfaatkan media sosial untuk memasarkan produknya agar lebih dikenal masyarakat luas.

Abstract

The Batang Integrated Industrial Estate (KIT Batang) development is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) stipulated by Presidential Regulation. This project is in line with the spatial planning objective of Batang Regency, namely the realization of Regency space that has an attractiveness for investment in the industrial sector. This study aims to analyze the readiness of the Regional Government of Batang Regency in terms of policy, institutional, financial, facilities, and infrastructure aspects in dealing with the PSN for the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate. Data was collected by using literature study and interview methods. Furthermore, the data and information obtained were analyzed by descriptive methods and scoring analysis. Regional readiness criteria are assessed based on the calculation of scores in the categories of not ready, quite ready, ready, and very ready. The results showed that the Regional Government (Pemda) of Batang Regency was included in being very ready to welcome PSN KIT Batang. Policies at the regional level show a good and fast response from the local government to national policies. Likewise, in preparing spatial planning programs around the Batang KIT, infrastructure development and budget allocations have been planned quickly and programmed so that the current Batang KIT development process runs smoothly. Furthermore, the Batang local government needs to facilitate the improvement of the educational qualifications and skills of the community so that in time they have competencies that follow the needs of workers in the industrial sector.

Abstract

Kelurahan Tambakrejo yang berada di wilayah pesisir Kota Semarang memiliki tingkat risiko tinggi untuk bencana banjir dan rob, banjir terakhir berdampak pada sekitar 2.000 rumah terendam dan 2,5 hektar serta 25 rumah warga hilang akibat rob. Upaya mitigasi bencana yang saat ini dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Kota Semarang melalui BPBD Kota Semarang dengan berbagai program penanggulangan dan tanggap darurat bencana yang masih diperlukan berbagai program pengembangan masyarakat dan wilayah. Sehingga dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian dengan tujuan menjadikan Kelurahan Tambakrejo sebagai Kelurahan Tangguh Bencana yang memiliki kemampuan mandiri untuk beradaptasi dalam menghadapi potensi bencana. Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan Forum Group Discussion (FGD), pelatihan, survei lapangan dan pemetaan partisipatif. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diantaranya, pembentukan Kelompok Siaga Bencana (KSB) Tambakrejo, pemasangan 10 jalur evakuasi dan 3 titik kumpul sebagai pedoman arah jika terjadi bencana, Pendidikan kebencanaan bagi guru-guru TK, PAUD & SD oleh Kader Forum Penanggulangan Bencana (FPRB) Kota Semarang dan dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan Pelatihan tanggap darurat bencana untuk siswa-siswa PAUD Islam Al-Fatah dengan narasumber dari FPRB. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini bahwa beberapa program yang dilakukan dalam membentuk rintisan Kelurahan Tambakrejo Tangguh Bencana sudah dilakukan dan perlu dilaksanakan program pengembangan lanjutan untuk menjadikan wilayah tersebut menjadi Kelurahan Tangguh Bencana.
