Abstract

Purpose of this study was to develop portofolio assessment rubrics of studentscientific processes on ecosystems. This study was Research and Development, using One Shot Case Study experimental design for its field-testing. The samples of this study were 135 yunior secondary school students (class VIIA, VIIB, VIIC, and VIIG). Research steps were as follows: problems and potential identification, data collection, product design, validation, field-testing and final production. Data were collected from (1) eligibility of portfolio assessment rubric of student scientific processes on ecosystems, (2) final scores of portfolios, and (3) student and teacher responses. Data was analyzed by descriptive percentages. ANOVA was used to identify the different average of portfolio scores.  The results showed that portofolio assessment rubrics could be used to assess students scientific processes on ecosystem. The average assessment scores from experts to the portfolio assessment rubrics of students’ scientific processes on ecosystem were 99.07% (very appropriate). The average assessment scores of  portfolio class VIIC during field testing were 73,47. Average scores of portfolio was follows: 75,56 (VIIA), 76,17 (VIIB), and 76,51 (VIIG). ANOVA test showed the average assessment of portfolio was not significantly different from other three the groups. A portfolio assessment was reliable or rubrics could be used well.  Student and teacher responses to portofolio assessment rubrics of students’ scientific processes on ecosystems was very good. The conclusions of this study was that the develop portofolio assessment rubrics of students’ scientific processes on ecosystem was able to be used for SMPNegeri 1 Wedarijakasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains siswa materi ekosistem. Penelitian merupakan Research and Development, desain eksperiment menggunakan one shot case study. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIIA, VIIB, VIIC dan VIIG berjumlah 135 siswa. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi analisis potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, uji coba produk, uji coba pemakaian dan produk final. Data penelitian berupa kelayakan rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains siswa materi ekosistem, nilai portofolio, tanggapan siswa dan guru. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif persentase. Ada atau tidaknya perbedaan rata-rata nilai portofolio diuji menggunakan ANAVA. Hasil penelitian berupa rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains siswa materi ekosistem. Rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains siswa materi ekosistem sangat layak, nilai rata-rata kelayakan 99,07%. Rata-rata nilai portofolio kelas VIIC pada uji coba awal 73,47. Rata-rata nilai portofolio kelas VIIA, VIIB, dan VIIG pada uji coba pemakaian adalah 75,56 ; 76,17 dan 76,51. Hasil uji ANAVA rata-rata nilai portofolio tidak berbeda secara nyata atau ajeg. Tanggapan siswa dan guru terhadap rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains sangat baik. Simpulan penelitian telah dihasilkan rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains siswa yang layak dan baik digunakan pada materi ekosistem di SMPN 1 Wedarijaksa.

Abstract

The purpose of this researchwas to knewthe teaching materials used in Junior High School of YPE Semarang, developed modules suitable with the characteristics of conservation and reasonable used for learning, and knew the effectiveness of the conservation modules on biodiversity material to the student learning outcomes in Junior High School of YPE Semarang. This research used a design research and development , and the trial big scale used design Control Group Pre - test Post - test . The subjects research on product trialwas student of class VII A as the control class and VII B as the experimental class . The results of research showed thatestimation of  the conservation modules development by media expert94 % and material expert 90 % with really reasonable categorized. Positive respons studentto used the results of module development reached 98.8 % , and based on the trial module usage showed that learning outcomes the experimental class higher thanthe control class, classical completeness of the experimental class reached 92 % , while the control class reached 72 % . This research concluded that the development of conservation moduleswasreasonable and effective inbiodiversity material learning.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bahan ajar yang digunakan di SMP YPE Semarang, mengembangkan modul sesuai dengan karakteristik konservasi dan layak untuk pembelajaran. serta mengetahui keefektifanmodul konservasi materi keanekaragaman hayati terhadap hasil belajar  siswa SMP YPE Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain research and development, dan pada uji coba skala luas digunakan rancangan Control Group Pre-test Post-test. Subjek penelitian untuk uji coba produk adalah siswa kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol dan VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian hasil pengembangan modul konservasi oleh pakar media 94% dan pakar materi 90% dengan kategori sangat layak. Tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan hasil pengembangan modul mencapai 98,8% (positif). Berdasarkan uji coba pemakaian modul menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol yaitu ketuntasan klasikal kelas eksperimen mencapai 92%, sedangkan kelas kontrol mencapai 72%. Simpulan penelitian ini bahwa pengembangan modul konservasi layak digunakan dan efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran materi keanekaragaman hayati.

Abstract

Abstract This study is a qualitative descriptive study. The purpose of the study to examine the implementation, barriers, and the results of the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in science.The data was collected usingdocumentation research, observation, and interviews. Methods of data analysisusing the technique of triangulation. This study is located in SMP N 1 Magelang.The results show a syllabus for teaching science curriculum 2013 in SMPN 1 Magelang has been accomplished in full, the process of learning science in SMP N 1 Magelang has met all the requirements to obligate the curriculum in2013, and the implementation of the 2013 curriculum has a positive impact onschool performance and student learning. Based on the research results and thediscussion concluded that the implementation of the curriculum in 2013 had apositive impact on the management of science learning. Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan, hambatan, dan hasil dari implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada mata pelajaran IPA. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan dokumentasi, observasi, dan wawancara. Metode analisis data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Penelitian ini berlokasi di SMP N 1 Magelang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan silabus mata pelajaran IPA Kurikulum 2013 di SMP N 1 Magelang telah terlaksana seluruhnya, proses pembelajaran IPA di SMP N 1 Magelang telah memenuhi seluruh persyaratan untuk melakasanakan kurikulum 2013, dan implementasi kurikulum 2013 memiliki dampak yang positif terhadap prestasi sekolah dan belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum 2013 berdampak positif terhadap pengelolaan pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis complex-performance assessment dalam praktikum Biologi siswa kelas X di SMA N 2 Pati, semester gasal tahun ajaran 2015/2016 materi berbagai tingkat keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental, yang diharapkan dapat menjelaskan profil SMA N 2 Pati, terutama yang berkaitan dengan kompleks kinerja siswa kelas X yang mencakup hasil belajar kognitif siswa, sikap ilmiah siswa, dan kinerja siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan one shot case study. Sampel meliputi siswa kelas X MIA 1, X MIA 2, X MIA 4, X MIA 6, dan X MIA 7. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara cluster random sampling. Jenis data meliputi data hasil belajar kognitif siswa, sikap ilmiah siswa, dan kinerja siswa, serta tanggapan guru maupun siswa terhadap kegiatan yang dinilai menggunakan complex-performance assessment. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa secara klasikal ≥ 90% siswa tuntas KKM. Hasil penilaian sikap ilmiah siswa, secara klasikal berada pada kriteria baik, dengan persentase rata-rata 85,74%. Adapun hasil penilaian kinerja siswa secara klasikal termasuk dalam kriteria baik, dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 80,56%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa profil kompleks kinerja siswa kelas X SMA N 2 Pati tahun ajaran 2015/2016 pada materi berbagai tingkat keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia, secara umum berada pada kriteria baik   This study aims to analyze the complex-performance assessment in biology lab class X SMA N 2 Pati, odd semester of 2015/2016 academic year in various levels of Indonesian biodiversity material. This research is quasi experimental reseach, which is expected to explain the profile of SMA N 2 Pati, particularly with regard to the performance of students of class X complex that includes cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The study design used is the one shot case study. Samples consist of students of class X MIA 1, X MIA 2, X MIA 4, X MIA 6, and X MIA 7. The sampling technique was conducted in cluster random sampling. The type of data including complex data of student performance, cognitif of student learning, as well as teachers and students in response to the activity assessed using complex - performance assessment. The results of students cognitive learning classical showed ≥ 90% students completed KKM. The results of students affective domain, classically located on both criteria, the average percentage of 85.74%. The results of students psychomotor domain, classically located on both criteria, the average percentage of 80.56%. Based on these results, we can conclude that the complex profile of student performance in class X SMA Negeri 2 Pati academic year 2015/2016 at the various levels of biodiversity materials Indonesia, if the terms are generally located on both criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  perbedaan hasil belajar dan sikap peduli lingkungan pada penerapan model GI dan PBL sub materi pencemaran air dengan limbah batik cair sebagai sumber belajar di SMAN 1 Pekalongan. Penelitian  ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen, dengan pola non-equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X MIPA 1 dan X MIPA 2. Uji hasil belajar siswa menunjukan rerata skor N-gain kelas eksperimen GI 0,53 lebih tinggi dari kelas eksperimen PBL 0,39. Hasil uji t skor N-gain diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,014 lebih kecil dari 0,05 sehingga terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen GI dan kelas eksperimen PBL. Skor rerata sikap peduli lingkungan siswa kelas eksperimen GI sebesar 64,6 lebih besar dari kelas eksperimen PBL 60,9. Hasil uji t skor kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan diperoleh nilai Sig sebesar 0,008 lebih kecil dari 0,05, artinya ada perbedaan sikap peduli lingkungan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen GI dan eksperimen PBL. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar dan sikap peduli lingkungan yang signifikan pada penerapan model GI dan model PBL serta hasil belajar dan sikap peduli lingkungan lebih tinggi pada penerapan model GI dengan limbah batik cair sebagai sumber belajar di SMAN 1 Pekalongan. This study was aimed at knowing any differences of learning achievement and environmental awareness on the implementation of PBL and GI learning models in the sub material of water pollution by using Batik liquid waste as the learning source in SMA N 1 Pekalongan. Further, this study belongs to quasi experimental research by employing non-equivalent control group design. The samples of this study were class X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 2. After the treatments were given, the result of GI experimental class got 0.53 average point higher than PBI experimental class. Moreover, the t-test result on N-gain obtained significance value of 0.014 which was less than 0.05, for there was a significant difference of the learning achievement between those classes. Besides, the environmental awareness average score of GI experimental class was higher than PBL experimental class, namely 64.6 and 60.9. Accordingly, the t-test result of the environmental awareness score gained significance value of 0.008 which was less than 0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference of the environmental awareness between GI and PBL experimental classes. In conclusion, this study showed significant differences by having GIs scores higher than PBL in the learning achievement and environmental awareness.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mewujudkan cita-cita pendidikan diperlukan pembelajaran yang tepat. Kenyataan di lapangan pembelajaran belum berpusat pada siswa. Hasil wawancara guru dan siswa diperoleh hasil belajar siswa rendah dikarenakan siswa kurang antusias dan berperan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Kondisi tersebut dapat diupayakan melalui model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) dengan Quick and Smart yang mengharuskan siswa untuk belajar dan memahami materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas TGT dengan Quick and Smart terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar materiSistem Pertahanan Tubuh di SMA Negeri 2 Salatiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretest-postest control group design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas XI IPA 3 (kelas eksperimen) dan XI IPA 2 (kelas kontrol). Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan aktivitas kelas eksperimen lebih aktif daripada kelas kontrol, lebih dari 80% aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen tinggi, rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol,skor N-gain kelas eksperimen tinggi, tercapai ketuntasan klasikal yaitu ≥80% siswa kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai postest ≥75. Hasil ini diperkuat dengan tanggapan siswa dan guru sangat baik terhadap model pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa TGT dengan Quick and Smart efektif meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa materi Sistem Pertahanan Tubuh. Reality showed that learning process has not been student-centered. Interviews of teachers and students explained low student learning outcomes were because students were less enthusiastic and less actively involved in learning process. The condition could be improved by Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model with Quick and Smart which requires students to learn and understand the material. This study aimed to determine effectiveness of TGT with Quick and Smart to Immune System concept learning activities and learningout comes in SMA Negeri 2 Salatiga. This study was done by pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were XI IPA 3 (experimental class) and XI IPA 2 (control group). Samples were taken by random cluster sampling. The results showed that experiment class was more active than control class, more than 80% experimental class’ students activity was high, experimental class’ posttest average was better than control class, N-gain of experimental’s score was high, more than 80% of students posttest of experimental group reached ≥75. These results were confirmed by students and teachers very well’s response to learning model applied. Based on this research, it can be concluded that TGT with Quick and Smart was effectively increase Immune System concept’s sudents activity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Biology learning in MA (Madrasah Aliyah) Khas Kempek was still dominated by teacher with low students involvement. This study would analyze the effectiveness of the 5E (Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, Evaluation) learning model in improving scientific knowledge and problems solving. It also explained the relationship between students scientific reasoning with their problem-solving abilities. This was a pre-experimental research with one group pre-test post-test. Sixty students of MA Khas Kempek from XI MIA 3 and XI MIA 4 involved in this study. The learning outcome of the students was collected by the test of reasoning and problem-solving. The results showed that the rises of students scientific reasoning ability were 69.77% for XI MIA 3 and 66.27% for XI MIA 4, in the medium category. The problem-solving skills were 63.40% for XI MIA 3, 61.67% for XI MIA 4, and classified in the moderate category. The simple regression test found a linear correlation between students scientific reasoning and problem-solving ability. This study affirms that reasoning ability is needed in problem-solving. It is found that application of 5E learning model was effective to improve scientific reasoning and problem-solving ability of students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) implementation to knowledge mastery capabilities and oral communication skills of high school students. This is an experimental quasi research with nonequivalent control group design. Population include all students of class X MIPA High School 1 Subah with sample classes X MIPA 1 as experiment class and X MIPA 2 as control class determined by purposive sampling that teacher suggested. The result of t-test shows the significant difference of average posttest grade between experiment and control classes. The increase of learning result experimental class 0,39 (mean), ie from 71,76 become 82,54 while control class 0,18 (low), ie from 70,25 become 75,34. The t-test result also shows a significant difference grade of oral communication skill between the experimental and control classes. The average score of oral communication skill of experiment 78,33, better than control 67,15. This shows that the TPS model has a positive influence on the ability of mastery knowledge and students oral communication skills. This is supported by the good responses from students and teacher toward model TPS implementation in environmental change learning.

Abstract

One of the main learning problems in school today is the low absorptive capacity of students as evidenced by the average of the student’s learning outcomes is always still under KKM. The reason is that the learning conditions are still conventional and is still teacher centered learning so it does not touch the dimensional realm of the students themselves. The learning method implemented by the teacher is more dominated by teachers, so students tend to be passive and not given access to develop independently. This illustrates that the process of learning that takes place is not optimal. Efforts to achieve a high absorption students is realized by applying an active learning and fun. Appropriate learning method is a method of role playing. Learning to use the method of role playing is learning that requires students to actively participate in the learning and mastery learning materials development of imagination. The purpose of this study to apply the method of role playing in  order to enhance the activity and the cognitive achievement of students on the material excretory system in SMPN 1 Batang. The study population was half of second class VIII SMP N 1 Batang and sample used is class VIII A and VIII E. Design study used is a quasi-experimental design from of pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that the implementation of the method of role playing on learning excretory system can increase the activity and cognitive learning outcomes. The result of the increase was gotten in using N-Gain. Results obtained from the data that there is signifiant difference between the results before and after treatment (pretest-posttest). Based on the test results of N-gain, increased cognitive achievement experimental class (VIII A) amounted to 0.633 (moderate) and grade control (VIII E) 0.32 (moderate). Based on t test, showed that the value probability (sig.) <0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. It means that there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes significantly between the control and the experimental class. The activity of students in class VIII A of 82.27% (very active) and VIII E amounted to 75.50% (Active). This indicates that the use of role playing method can increase the activity and cognitive learning outcomes of students.
