Abstract

In the digital transformation era, website quality has become a key strategic element in enhancing customer experiences and fostering brand loyalty, particularly within the hospitality sector. This study investigates the impact of website quality on brand loyalty, with customer engagement behavior acting as a mediating variable. Drawing on empirical data from guests of Merapi Merbabu Hotel Yogyakarta, the research employs a quantitative, hypothesis-driven approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze relationships among key constructs: website quality, customer engagement behavior, and brand loyalty. The findings reveal that website quality has a significant direct effect on brand loyalty, and also positively influences customer engagement behavior, which in turn mediates the relationship between website quality and brand loyalty. This highlights the pivotal role of digital customer engagement in translating website excellence into long-term brand loyalty. The study provides both theoretical and practical implications, emphasizing the necessity for hotel management to continuously improve digital interface quality and foster interactive online experiences. These strategies are vital for strengthening emotional connections with customers and ensuring sustainable competitive advantage in the hospitality industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse quality management in the sustainable palm oil industry in Riau Province, focusing on the practices of independent palm oil farmers. Using a qualitative approach through surveys and in-depth interviews with 30-40 farmers selected through purposive sampling, this study explores the understanding, challenges, and quality management strategies applied by farmers. The results indicate that while farmers' understanding of quality standards and cultivation practices is already quite good, there is a gap between theory and practice due to limitations in capital, access to technology, and institutional support. Training and mentoring have proven effective in improving knowledge and quality management practices; however, challenges such as fluctuations in TBS prices and inadequate infrastructure still hinder optimal implementation. Key factors influencing quality management include raw material quality, workforce competence, institutional support, and infrastructure. Recommended strengthening strategies include capacity building through training, institutional strengthening, accelerated certification, infrastructure improvement, and multi-stakeholder synergy. The findings of this study provide a comprehensive overview of the quality management conditions of independent oil palm farmers in Riau and serve as the basis for policy recommendations and training programmes to support the sustainability and competitiveness of the oil palm industry.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the work environment, work motivation, and career development on teacher performance at Private Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Cepu District, Blora Regency. Teacher performance is a crucial aspect in improving the quality of education, especially in vocational schools which are required to produce work-ready graduates. This research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. The population in this study were all teachers in three private vocational schools in Cepu, with a total of 139 respondents obtained through the census method. Data collection was carried out through a closed questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale covering four main variables. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression using the latest version of SPSS. The research results show that the three independent variables, namely work environment, work motivation, and career development, simultaneously or partially have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Work motivation is the variable that most dominantly influences teacher performance compared to the other two variables. These findings have the implication that efforts to improve teacher performance must be focused on improving the work environment, providing incentives and recognition to increase motivation, as well as structured career development. This research also emphasizes the importance of managerial strategies and educational policies that support the sustainability of teacher professionalism in private schools. Thus, it is hoped that the results of this research can become a reference for school management and policy makers in improving the quality of education in developing areas such as Cepu.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a revisit intention model in the context of geotourism at Lava Bantal Berbah Sleman by examining the direct influence of destination image on revisit intention, as well as the mediating role of tourist satisfaction. The research involved 101 respondents selected using an accidental sampling technique by distributing questionnaires to visitors reachable through WhatsApp groups. The variables measured included destination image, tourist satisfaction, and revisit intention, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (SmartPLS) approach. The findings reveal that destination image has a significant direct effect on revisit intention and that this relationship is strengthened through the mediation of tourist satisfaction. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating that tourist satisfaction plays a crucial role in enhancing revisit intention within the geotourism context. Practically, these findings contribute to consumer behavior research and offer valuable insights for geotourism managers at Lava Bantal, particularly in optimizing destination image and satisfaction strategies to encourage repeat visitation.

Abstract

Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs) are functional materials with rapidly expanding applications in medical devices, aerospace, and smart actuators. Among them, Cu–Zn–Al-based SMAs are cost-effective but their performance is often limited by the formation of non-reversible martensite. This study investigates the influence of Si addition and quenching methods on the microstructure, martensitic transformation, and deformation behavior of Cu–Zn–Al SMAs. Alloys with compositions of Cu–27Zn–2.5Al and Cu–27Zn–2.5Al–0.3Si wt.% were fabricated via gravity casting and homogenized at 850°C for 2 hours. The samples were then betatized at 900°C for 30 minutes and cooled using two quenching methods: Direct Quenching (DQ) and Up Quenching (UQ). The UQ process involved reheating after initial quenching to promote atomic ordering and defect relaxation, followed by cooling in an ethanol+dry ice mixture maintained at –5°C. The results reveal that the Cu–27Zn–2.5Al wt.% alloy undergoes a β → β′ martensitic transformation in both DQ and UQ conditions, with UQ producing a more homogeneous and responsive martensitic structure. In contrast, the addition of 0.3 wt.% Si refines the α-phase grains and stabilizes the α + β phase region, thereby suppressing martensite formation. The Si-containing alloy deforms mainly through plastic slip in the α phase, whereas the Si-free alloy exhibits the typical twinning/detwinning mechanism of SMAs. These findings confirm that the combination of alloy composition and quenching route governs phase transformation and deformation mechanisms in Cu-based SMAs, offering insight for designing low-cost functional materials with tunable shape memory behavior.

Abstract

Live streaming commerce, an innovation in digital marketing that combines entertainment with live commerce, has emerged as a result of the development of social media. TikTok Live has become popular due to its ability to create an interactive, emotional, and real-time shopping experience. The purpose of this study is to investigate how perceived enjoyment, promotional urgency, and consumer trust affect consumers' decisions to purchase Whitelab skincare products promoted in Yogyakarta via TikTok Live. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a survey method and a purposive non-probability sampling technique, with 150 respondents who have decided to purchase the product. The data were analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 3.3.2 software. The results showed that the three independent variables had a positive and significant impact on purchase decisions. These findings suggest that enjoyment, promotional urgency, and trust in Whitelab sellers and their products are key factors influencing consumer decisions. This study contributes to the development of digital consumer behavior research and offers practical implications for live commerce-based promotional strategies that emphasize customer experience and trust-building.
