Abstract

The Pasuruan City Government, rich in historical and cultural heritage, aims to integrate local wisdom into spatial planning through Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2021 (Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah or RPJMD 2021-2026) and Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2022 (Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah or RTRW 2021-2041). However, these policies often prioritize colonial heritage over local traditional culture. This study uses Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to examine the formulation, implementation, and community impact of these policies. CDA reveals the power dynamics, ideologies, and specific interests within policy discourse. The research analyzes the government's policy direction and sensitivity towards local wisdom, focusing on the discourse content and structure in the RPJMD and RTRW documents, as well as their intertextuality. Findings indicate a greater emphasis on preserving colonial-era buildings rather than local traditional culture. Recommendations include developing inclusive policies that balance physical infrastructure development with the preservation and promotion of local culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepatuhan dan ketidakpatuhan terhadap prinsip kesantunan berbahasa warganet dalam kolom komentar di akun twitter Prabowo Subianto. Penelitian ini fokus pada tuturan warganet di kolom komentar akun tersebut, dengan fenomena kurangnya kesantunan yang dapat mempengaruhi persepsi publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah pengguna twitter (warganet), sedangkan objeknya adalah komentar-komentar di akun twitter Prabowo Subianto. Data diperoleh dari komentar langsung pada tweet Prabowo Subianto menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan simak bebas libat cakap, dan dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk kepatuhan dan ketidakpatuhan terhadap prinsip kesantunan berbahasa. Bentuk kepatuhan meliputi maksim kebijaksanaan, pujian, kesepakatan, dan simpati, dengan maksim simpati sebagai data yang paling dominan karena warganet cenderung menunjukkan empati dan kegembiraan kepada Prabowo Subianto. Bentuk ketidakpatuhan ditemukan pada maksim kebijaksanaan, pujian, dan simpati. Peneliti berharap penelitian ini dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut dan menjadi referensi dalam pembelajaran kesantunan berbahasa, khususnya dalam mata kuliah pragmatik.

Abstract

The Lack of utilization of learning media leads to lack of student interest in English lessons This study aims to describe the process of developing English learning media through animated videos and the quality of the results of learning animation video development trials. This research is a development research with the ADDIE model. The subjects involved in this study consisted of 1 material expert, 1 media expert, 3 students for individual trials and 33 students for group trials. The methods used for data collection in this study were interviews, observations, questionnaires and documentation. As for the data analysis method using quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. The process of developing English learning media through animated learning videos for grade 9 students goes through 4 stages, namely analysis, design, development, and implementation. The results of the material expert review showed a percentage result of 100% (very feasible), media experts showed a percentage result of 88% (very feasible), individual tests showed a percentage result of 88.6% (very feasible), and the results of the group test showed a percentage result of 85, 6% (very feasible). Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that the development of English learning media through animated videos for grade 9 students of SMP Maarif Ansoru Al Hasaniyah, Rukti Basuki, Rumbia District, Central Lampung Regency is very feasible to use

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implikatur dalam tuturan penjual dan pembeli di Warung STMJ Cak Sail dengan fokus pada pelanggaran maksim Grice dan bagaimana pelanggaran tersebut menghasilkan makna tersirat yang dipahami oleh mitra tutur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung dan dokumentasi, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Dalam analisis percakapan ditemukan 14 tuturan yang melanggar maksim Grice dengan rincian: pelanggaran maksim kuantitas (1), maksim kualitas (3), maksim relevansi (4), dan maksim cara (6). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat pelanggaran terhadap maksim kuantitas, kualitas, relevansi, dan cara dalam percakapan, komunikasi tetap berjalan efektif berkat implikatur yang muncul. Implikatur percakapan tersebut membantu menjaga kelancaran komunikasi meskipun tuturan tidak selalu eksplisit atau lengkap.

Abstract

The people of Gentong Village, the manager of the Kiai Sepuh tomb, and SDN Gentong Pasuruan City are faced with serious challenges in preserving valuable local cultural heritage. Modernization and globalization have brought significant changes in daily life, shifting traditional cultural values that were once highly respected. As a result, the legend of Kiai Sepuh, which used to be a source of pride and identity of the community, began to be forgotten, especially among the younger generation. This service activity has two main objectives, the first goal is to analyze the urgency of reviving the legend of Kiai Sepuh. The second goal is to carry out revival to explore the potential assets of the legend of Kiai Sepuh and increase public awareness and involvement through the Storytelling Festival. This revival aims to document and enrich the narrative of the legend of Kiai Sepuh, as well as make it an interesting and relevant socialization material. This service activity is carried out using two main methods: Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) and Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR). The combination of story digging and activities such as oral storytelling competitions is very important in cultural revival efforts. Story digging ensures that important narratives are well documented and understood, while oral storytelling competitions allow the community to be actively involved in the preservation and dissemination of these stories. These two approaches work together to preserve and strengthen cultural heritage in modern society. Activities such as storytelling festivals and oral storytelling competitions have not only succeeded in reviving oral traditions, but also strengthened the cultural identity of the community and increased the potential for religious tourism in the area. The results of the study show that this revival effort is not only important to preserve cultural heritage, but also provides economic benefits to the local community

Abstract

The researchers conducted a meta-synthesis study of the concept of project-based lectures and the concepts of the development of the IR 4.0 era. The main goal of this study was to examine a rational relationship or relevance between the application of project-based lectures and the development of the educational paradigm in the Industiral Revolution (IR) 4.0 era. The result showed that the seventh project-based lecture features can realize the educational context in the IR 4.0 era. The result Meta-Synthesis in two concepts found seven relevances, namely: 1) Real study and essential supporting in freedom learning, broader learning context 2) Bureaucratic learning, relevant life to support freedom learning. 3) Learning inquiry based on investigative, complex to support students’ independence in learning. 4) Meaningful, social, and collaborative learning to support learning resources and good cooperation in learning. 5) Real-work learning and remember the process, supporting the contextuality and meaningful learning process. 6) Authentic learning and interdisciplinary, supporting the breadth and flexibility in developing knowledge accordance with the world developments. 7) Collaborative learning teachers, supporting of learning partnerships. Abstract

Masa pandemi Covid 19 telah membawa perubahan besar dan tiba-tiba bagi pola kehidupan masyarakat dunia. Salah satu yang terdampak di Indonesia adalah kehidupan remaja dan siswa sekolah. Semenjak kegiatan sekolah yang secara konvensional dilakukan dengan tatap muka diubah menjadi belajar di rumah, remaja dan siswa sekolah seakan kehilangan tatanan sosialnya. Keluarga dan masyarakat rumah tidak bisa membentuk pengondisian ruang belajar di rumah, bahkan merusaknya menjadi liburan sepanjang tahun. Jam belajar tidak teratur, jam bermain yang berlebihan, orang tua sebagai pengawas tidak mampu mengambil perannya karena harus bekerja lebih keras di masa pandemi, dan berakhir pada kehidupan remaja yang secara total lepas dari tata dan aturan kehidupan. Bagi mereka yang memiliki lingkungan baik akan membentuk kegiatan-kegiatan positif. Berlaku sebaliknya jika mereka memiliki lingkungan yang tidak baik, jangankan berkegiatan positif, mereka cenderung tidak memiliki rencana kegiatan dan berujung pada hal negatif. Dalam program-program KKN UNIWARA mencanangkan beberapa pokok tema kegiatan di antaranya adalah menciptakan lingkungan yang berkegiatan positif bagi remaja dan siswa sekolah. Maka di antara itu kami pilih kegiatan Tilawatil Qur’an, Seni Hadrah Al-Banjari, dan Kultum untuk mendukung kegiatan positif dengan kemasan seni dan budaya Islami. Kegiatan ini terbukti dapat menghadirkan kegiatan uang positif di masa pandemi. Manfaat kegiatan ini di antaranya adalah : 1. Menyediakan kegiatan positif di masa pandemi, 2. Menumbuhkan semangat untuk melestarikan seni dan budaya islami, 3. Mencitrakan manfaat mahasiswa UNIWARA pada masyarakat, 4. Sosialisasi pentingnya mengenyam pendidikan tinggi dan meningkatkan angka partisipasi pendidikan tinggi, dan 5. Promosi UNIWARA dalam bentuk kegiatan dan sosialisasi.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the internal mechanisms, aptitude, intelligence, motivation, and cognitive style that influence second language (L2) acquisition among early childhood learners. Grounded in psycholinguistic and developmental perspectives, this research addresses the lack of contextualized strategies for foreign language instruction at the early childhood education (ECE) level in Indonesia. This qualitative study employed a library research design, using thematic analysis of selected scholarly works from 1959 to 2025. Sources were classified into three thematic clusters: (1) internal processing mechanisms (e.g., phonological memory, LAD function), (2) aptitude and intelligence (e.g., MLAT, linguistic universals), and (3) motivation and cognitive style (e.g., intrinsic-affective-social motivation, field-dependence). Data synthesis was conducted to classify key constructs and pedagogical implications. The results revealed that young learners acquire L2 more effectively through emotionally engaging, context-rich, and multisensory exposure rather than formal grammatical instruction. Children benefit from environments that support referential learning, phonological sensitivity, and social-linguistic modeling. Formal instruction was found to be less effective due to developmental mismatches. A classification model was constructed to visually present the findings. This study offers a comprehensive synthesis that bridges second language acquisition theories with early childhood development. It presents an original classification framework linking cognitive-affective variables with instructional strategies suitable for L2 exposure in early childhood. This research provides critical insights for curriculum developers, early childhood educators, and policymakers aiming to implement developmentally appropriate foreign language instruction. The findings support the need for translanguaging, play-based, and emotionally supportive environments for optimal early language acquisition.
