Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the social reality represented in the music video Mangu by Fourtwnty ft. Charita from a multimodal discourse perspective. The analysis focuses on the interplay of five modes language, image, music, sound, and movement that collectively construct emotional and social meanings. The research applies a qualitative descriptive method using Kress and van Leeuwen’s semiotic framework. Data were collected from the song lyrics, scenes, sound effects, and character movements in the video. The findings reveal that the poetic lyrics depict spiritual conflict and emotional separation, while visual elements such as warm tones, wooden houses, and dim lighting emphasize a nostalgic atmosphere. The minor-toned music with a slow tempo evokes sadness, whereas background sounds like door creaks and wind enhance realism. Minimalist body movements, including lowered gazes and turning away, symbolize uncertainty and resignation. The interaction of these modes reflects social realities of differing beliefs and existential confusion. This study highlights that music videos can serve as mediums of emotional and social reflection rather than mere entertainment.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of business legality, especially in obtaining Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and Halal Certificates for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Gentong Village, Pasuruan. Gentong District has many MSMEs that play an important role in the local economy, but face challenges in understanding and managing business legality, which results in limited access to wider markets. This article highlights the mentoring program carried out using the Service Learning method, which involves direct interaction between academics, students and MSME actors. This program aims to increase the understanding and skills of MSME players in managing NIB and Halal Certificates, as well as overcoming bureaucratic obstacles which often become obstacles in managing business legality. Through this approach, MSME players are expected to be able to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of their businesses. This article also examines relevant theories, such as Legitimacy Theory, Social Capital Theory, and Market Access Theory, which support the importance of business legality in building reputation, expanding markets, and reducing legal risks. The results of this mentoring program show that with adequate business legality, MSMEs in Gentong Village are able to expand business networks, increase credibility, and access larger market opportunities, both at the local and international levels. Thus, business legality is not only an administrative fulfillment, but also an important business strategy for the growth and sustainability of MSME businesses amidst increasingly tight market competition.

Abstract

This research examines halal product consumer protection within the framework of Sharia Economic Law while empirically analyzing the role of creativity and innovation in supporting sustainable income among halal-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with a specific focus on Teh Bunga Sedap Malam at Pasar Rembang, Pasuruan. This study adopts a quantitative explanatory research design to identify the causal relationship between creativity, innovation, and income generation. A total of 55 respondents were selected using purposive sampling based on eligibility criteria, and structured questionnaires using a Likert scale were distributed to obtain primary data. The collected data were processed through validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the partial and simultaneous influence of creativity and innovation on MSME income. The findings reveal that both creativity and innovation have a positive and significant effect on income, indicating that the ability of MSME actors to develop ideas and transform them into innovative business practices plays a crucial role in enhancing business performance and ensuring financial sustainability. From a Sharia economic perspective, strengthening creativity and innovation must also be aligned with halal assurance, fairness, transparency, and ethical business practices to ensure consumer protection and compliance with Islamic economic values. The study contributes theoretically by integrating empirical income-based analysis with normative Sharia consumer protection principles and practically by providing strategic recommendations for strengthening MSME capacity, regulatory support, and halal awareness. Future research is recommended to expand the sample scope and explore additional determinants influencing MSME sustainability in the halal economic ecosystem.

Abstract

This article presents a psychological review of Sharia economic imagology in the narratives of ulama figures in children’s stories. The study aims to examine how children’s stories centered on ulama figures are constructed as media for Sharia economic education that align with the characteristics of early childhood psychological development. Employing a qualitative approach, this study applies content analysis to three illustrated children’s storybooks containing Sharia economic values. The analysis focuses on character representation, narrative structure, symbolic elements, and psychological mechanisms that support knowledge construction and the presentation of behavioral exemplars for children. The findings indicate that Sharia economic values in the stories are conveyed in concrete, contextual, and narrative forms through emotionally safe ulama figures. Children’s economic understanding is built through psychological mechanisms such as observational learning, positive emotional reinforcement, simple narrative cause–effect patterns, and behavioral habituation through repeated routines. Furthermore, the study identifies variations in psychological approaches, including reflective emotional experiences, social and relational awareness, and consistent role modeling. These findings confirm that ulama-centered narratives function as effective psychological media for Sharia economic education in children’s literature.

Abstract

Special needs school environments represent communities with complex psychosocial dynamics, involving intensive and continuous interactions among children, parents, therapists, and educators. The complexity of children’s needs, parental expectations regarding developmental outcomes, and professional demands placed on therapists may contribute to emotional strain and disrupt the psychological well-being of the community. This Community Service program aimed to foster a more supportive psychological climate through a promotive intervention using psychoeducational posters. The program employed a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach, beginning with a situational analysis conducted through individual and group interviews with parents and therapists to identify core community issues. The findings revealed difficulties in understanding children’s behavior as a form of needs communication, emotional strain experienced by therapists, and the lack of consistent psychoeducational media within the school environment. Based on these findings, psychoeducational posters were developed containing messages related to positive parenting, understanding children’s behavior, strengthening self-confidence, and self-care for caregivers. The posters were displayed in strategic shared spaces within the school community. This intervention functioned as a silent educator that encouraged reflection, enhanced psychological awareness, and strengthened shared understanding among community members. The findings suggest that promotive interventions using visual media can serve as an effective initial strategy for strengthening a supportive psychological climate in special needs school communities on a sustainable basis.
