Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Influence of post exercise recovery management after training on increasing leg muscle power in extracurricular basketball students. This research method uses One-Group Pre-test Post-test Design with an experimental design research design using a quantitative descriptive research approach. The sampling technique uses total sampling of athletes who participated in the DBL (Developmental Basketball League) competition totaling 24 students consisting of 12 boys and 12 girls. The instrument used in this study was the measurement of leg muscle power using the MD jump test tool. From the results of the study and discussion, it can be concluded that the leg muscle power test using the MD jump test shows that female students get a significant value (p value = 0.031) while male students get a significant value (p value = 0.015). So it can be concluded that this study has a significant effect in recovery using the post exercise recovery management method on the leg muscle power of the female and male teams at SMAN 8 Malang City.

Abstract

Coaches need to consider various competencies such as conditioning, training program skills and tactics, when planning sessions, despite the rare impact of the menstrual cycle on the effectiveness of competitive training performance of female athletes in Central Java. The impact of the menstrual cycle of female athletes, the training strategies used by female athletes to minimize the impact of training programs that provide obstacles to large interactions with coaches require consideration. This research aims to determine the experiences of elite female athletes regarding the menstrual cycle while competing in Central Java and to understand female athletes' perceptions of the influence of the menstrual cycle on performance and achievement in sports competitions. A questionnaire containing 36 items was developed. Univariate analysis was used to analyze the data. Thirty-six valid responses from Central Javanese female athletes aged 14 to 27 years, with an average age of 19 years, were received. Menstrual pain (72.3%) and pre-menstrual symptoms (72.2%). Contraceptive use by 2.8% of female athletes. Those reporting heavy menstrual bleeding (25%). Most athletes reported that neither they nor their coaches changed training due to the menstrual cycle (61.1%). Most athletes (50%) discussed with female coaches only. Given the perceived impact on performance and potential risks of contraceptive use during pregnancy, teens, coaches, and athletes need to have a more open dialogue around the menstrual cycle

The research adopts a quantitative method with a one-group pre-test post-test design involving 24 students as the research sample. Data were collected through tests measuring leg muscle explosive power before and after the CWI treatment, conducted over 20 sessions. The results showed a significant increase in the average leg muscle explosive power after the treatment for both male and female groups. The average for males increased from 58.67 to 61.67, while for females, it rose from 40.17 to 42.92. The application of CWI proved effective in accelerating muscle recovery, reducing fatigue, and enhancing students' physical performance. Abstract

Abstract

Healthy eating patterns and physical activity are two crucial factors that influence physical fitness, especially among junior high school students. This study utilizes a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to explore the relationship between healthy eating, physical activity, and physical fitness. Relevant articles were selected based on inclusion criteria, such as focusing on junior school students, using empirical data, and being published within the last 10 years. The results reveal that a healthy diet rich in nutrients, such as complex carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals, significantly contributes to improving students’ physical endurance and bodily functions. Regular physical activity, such as exercise, has been shown to enhance muscle strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular function. Furthermore, the combination of healthy eating and physical activity demonstrates a significant synergistic effect on physical fitness, creating metabolic balance and reducing the risk of obesity and non-communicable diseases. This study emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach in consistently applying healthy eating patterns and physical activity among junior high school students. The implementation of nutrition education and physical activity programs in schools is a key recommendation to improve students' physical fitness.
