Abstract

Transmission of infectious diseases in epidemiological models is usually based on the assumption that populations in random mixing. However, in reality this assumption is not fulfilled, because each individual has a limited set of contacts that they can pass through infection; the ensemble of all such contacts forms a complex network. Knowledge of network structure allows a model to calculate the dynamics of an epidemic at a population scale from individual level infection behavior. This paper discusses mathematical models to illustrate the epidemic pattern of transmission of infectious diseases in dynamic networks based on compartment systems.

Abstract

Abstract PT. XYZ is a company engaged in making software that involves both the owner and employees in their activities. This privately-owned company operation includes the functions of project managing, system analysis to programming with work ranging from receiving proposals, collecting user requirements documents, design, user acceptance tests to deployment. The overall function of the work requires centralized overall monitoring where inputting can be done by many people while the management can be carried out by certain personnel only. The research methodology used is descriptive based on object-oriented analysis and design. The results of this study are the design of information systems based on object-oriented analysis and design that are ready to use in their implementation into the program code. The results are expected to be used by PT. XYZ and other companies engaged in similar services in monitoring projects that are in progress

Abstract

Statistical pattern recognition is the process of using statistical techniques to obtain information and make informed decisions based on data measurements. It is possible to solve the doubt inherent in the objective function of the 2-Dimension Linear Discriminant Analysis by employing the symmetrical 2-Dimension Linear Discriminant Analysis approach. Symmetrical 2-dimensional linear discriminant analysis has found widespread use as a method of introducing handwritten capital letters. Symmetric 2-DLDA, according to Symmetric 2-DLDA, produces better and more accurate results than Symmetric 2-DLDA. So far, pattern recognition has been based solely on computer knowledge, with no connection to statistical measurements, such as data variation and Euclidean distance, particularly in symmetrical images. As a result, the aim of this research is to create algorithms for recognizing capital letter patterns in a wide range of handwriting. The ADL2-D symmetric method is used in this study as the development of the ADL2-D method. The research results in an algorithm that considers the left and right sides of the image matrix, as opposed to ADL2-D, which does not consider the left and right sides of the image matrix. In pattern recognition, the results with symmetric ADL2-D are more accurate

Abstract

The optimization model is one of the systems analysis models identified with operation research. The transportation method is part of a linear program that is used to organize and distribute resources that provide products to places where they are needed to achieve transportation cost efficiency. The working principle of the Least Cost method is to give allocation priority that has the smallest unit cost (the smallest unit cost). The MODI (Modified Distribution) method is a method of solving transportation cases developed from the Stepping Stone method. This research was conducted at PT. Mabar Feed Indonesia which is engaged in the feed sector. This study aims to determine minimizing transportation costs at PT. Mabar Feed Indonesia which will later become input for the company. The results showed that the transportation cost before minimization was Rp . Then the costs incurred after using the Least Cost method in the initial solution amounted to Rp . After using the Least Cost method, the final solution is to make MODI more optimal and the total transportation cost is Rp .

Abstract

Poverty is one of the problems in Indonesia's complex and fundamental economy. Poverty is a condition where a person is unable to fulfill his basic needs. Solutions need to be found to overcome or at least reduce poverty. To overcome the problem of poverty, indicators need to be considered that affect poverty levels. In this study poverty is seen through two dimensions, namely Health Quality and Economic Quality. This research was conducted to determine poverty indicators based on dimensions of health quality and economic quality with the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) method. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is used unidimensionally to identify indicator variables that can measure health and economic quality. The analysis used was 25 districts and 8 cities in North Sumatra Province. The results showed that health quality can be measured through 10 indicators and economic quality can be measured also through 10 indicators

Abstract

Statistical pattern recognition is a system that aims to classify a number of objects to a number of categories or classes. Given a data matrix A, A = {Π1, Π2,…, Πk} where Πi consist of ni point data of ith class then patterns in each classes can classify and separate distance of within and between-class in datasets. In this paper, Symmetric Two-Dimensional Linear Discriminant Analysis proposed to maximize the between-class scatter matrices (Sb) and minimize the within-class scatter matrices (Sw), and can recognition the symmetric capital letter by hand writing such as A, B, C, D, E, H, I, K, M, O, S, U, V, W and Y by using ADL2-D algorithm.

Abstract

The development of population increases every year, causing food needs to expand to meet food needs by increasing food crop productivity so that food availability can be sufficient. Food crops consist of rice, corn, green beans, peanuts, cassava, and sweet potatoes. Productivity in each region has different characteristics, and therefore it is necessary to group the areas so that solution can be implemented by each of the components of the region. The purpose of this study is to group districts/cities in North Sumatera Province based on food crop productivity using the k-means clustering method. Clustering k-means is a method of grouping non-hierarchical data that attempts to partition existing data into one or more clusters or groups so that data that has the same characteristics are grouped into one same characteristic are grouped into other groups. The result of this study is the formation of 3 city district clusters, namely, cluster 1 amounting to 1 regency/city, cluster 2 totaling seven districts/cities, and cluster 3 totaling 25 districts/cities.

Abstract

Cluster analysis is a method used to group objects based on similarity of characteristics they have. Cluster analysis using the hierarchy method is a method with a grouping process that is used in stages. Health is a condition where a person is not sick, has no complaints, and can carry out daily activities. To find out information about the level of health in Langkat Regency, it is necessary to use the grouping method. The grouping was carried out in 23 districts in Langkat Regency. The purpose of this study is to classify sub-districts in Langkat Regency which have similar characteristics based on health indicators through the square euclidian distance is used to measure the similarity between object pairs and the ward method. From the results of cluster analysis using the ward method.

Abstract

The greenhouse effect is a term used to describe the earth having a greenhouse effect where the sun's heat is trapped by the earth's atmosphere. This study aims to model the greenhouse effect and then predict the greenhouse effect in the coming period using the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) method. In this case, time series analysis and reference data for 31 months are used, from the period January 2017 - July 2019, the results of the ARIMA model that are suitable for forecasting the greenhouse effect are ARIMA (4.2.0) with Mean Square Error (MSE) of 161885

Abstract

Excess or lack of inventory that is too large is a problem that can trigger increased costs so that companies do not get the benefits they should. The purpose of this study is to minimize the cost of inventories of crude palm oil using the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method and EPQ (Economic Production Quantity) methods at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV (Persero) Medan. From the results it is known that economic orders according to the EOQ method in 2017 amounted to 2.741,222 tons and in 2018 amounted to 2.825,927 tons. The difference in total inventory costs generated using the EOQ method and company conditions in 2017 amounted to Rp71.605.439.976,17 and in 2018 amounting to Rp60.884.174.907,3. The optimal amount of production (EPQ) in 2017 and 2018 was 146.226,147 tons. The difference in total inventory costs generated using the EPQ method and the condition of the company in 2017 and 2018 amounted to Rp102.771.704.121,63.
