Abstract

This research focuses on how the knowledge and values of prospective teachers in mastering skills in the 21st century, such as understanding and implementing 4C, Classroom Management, and mastering technology as a supporting medium in the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study is to determine the Self-Efficacy of prospective teachers in the mastery of 21st century skills, as well as to determine the values of prospective teachers in mastering 21st century skills. Then the method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method, which is a study to analyze data by describe or describe the data that has been collected. Technique of data collection that used in this research was questionnaire, and the technique of data analysis is statistic descriptive which used to analyze the data from the questionnaire, with the findings that prospective teachers assess that 21st century skills can be mastered and have excellent self-efficacy for these skills. It can be said that prospective teachers already have high self-efficacy and place values that are important for 21st century skills.

Abstract

PDAM Tirtanadi Sumut provides a supporting facility, one of which is operations that are used in carrying out daily employee activities. The problem has occurred that many operational vehicle are no longer suitable for use because the age of the vehicle is long. the cost of spare parts that are increasingly being replaced makes the company have to spend quite a lot of money to buy spare parts and repair the operational vehicle. The purpose of this study is to assist PDAM Tirtandi, North Sumatra Province in determining suitable cars to use using the Topsis method (Technique For Order Preference By Similarity To Ideal Solution) and it is hoped that this method will be able to determine suitable operational vehicles at the North Sumatra Province PDAM office.

Abstract

Tujuan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk membantu sekolah menghadapi masa transisi pasca pandemi Covid-19 dengan cara membantu mempersiapkan lingkungan yang nyaman untuk siswa dan guru dan membantu mengenalkan pengajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan melalui pelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang masih belum menjadi tuntutan di awal Tahun 2022. Tiga sekolah yang disurvei menjadi lokasi program ini, yaitu SDN 07 Sungai Kakap, SDN 20 Sungai Kakap, dan MIS Miftahussalam yang berada di Desa Punggur Kecil, Sungai Kakap, Kubu Raya. Dua kegiatan utama yang dilakukan di program ini adalah gotong royong membersihkan lingkungan sekitar desa dan mengenalkan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menarik melalui mata pelajaran Bahasa. Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris dilibatkan untuk membantu memberikan hasil yang optimal. Hasilnya, lingkungan sekolah menjadi bersih dan nyaman untuk siswa dan guru untuk belajar. Selain itu, siswa juga berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan yang tidak hanya dapat membuat siswa lebih menyukai Bahasa Inggris tetapi juga membantu siswa untuk melihat proses belajar bisa sangat menyenangkan untuk diikuti pada masa transisi pasca pandemic Covid-19.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a model to improve the quality of StL schools this is to ensure that it can be applied at schools in Sambas Regency under the challenging needs and potentials they have, based on the school perspective. The result of this study is expected to provide description of the How far has the activities included in StL model been applied by school, what challenges did rural schools face in implementing the activities of StL model, how is StL model which could be apply in rural schools locally and contextually. This research was multiple case study conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach involving 4 schools spread across Sambas Regency, namely in rural areas. In this case, the 4 schools are middle schools which include 2 different districts, namely Sebawi District and Tebas District. Tool of data collection was interview guidance, and the data analysis using thematic analysis and cross case analysis techniques. The result of this study is recommendation for improving the application of StL model been applied by considering which StL model that could be apply locally, contextually and the challenges found by schools in implementing StL model.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris bagi pemandu wisata di Desa Jeruju Besar,  Kabupaten Kubu Raya sehingga dapat memperkenalkan wisata  yang ada di kawasan Equator Park.  Peserta yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini berjumlah 20 orang terdiri dari pemandu wisata dan pelaku wisata di kawasan Equator Park. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan Bahasa Inggris untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris. Hasil dari mengikuti pelatihan ini, para pemandu wisata dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan kepercayaan dirinya dalam berinteraksi menggunakan bahasa Inggris aktif dengan turis asing. Selain itu, para pemandu wisata di kawasan Equator Park ini mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang bagaimana pentingnya dan pengaruhnya dalam menjalin komunikasi terhadap wisatawan asing. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari nilai rata-rata hasil posttest, yaitu sebesar 76.8. Dengan demikian para pemandu wisata bisa mengoptimalkan potensi atau kemampuan dalam berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

This paper derives from a depth study of the patterns and variations of school organizational learning (OL) application in rural schools in supporting their teachers’ professional continuous learning (PL). By using total sampling, 172 out of 211 teachers from all primary and junior secondary schools were assigned to spend two days in the survey. Our research findings indicate that teachers and school leaders put high scores on values and practices of school organizational learning. The high values given by the teachers can be translated that they believe that practicing organizational learning is important in order to support and sustain their own professional learning. an optimistic effort on improving school organizational learning. We suggest that the teachers’ needs on improving their professional learning tend to be homogeneous. It could ease the process of improving school organizational learning which could accommodate and address typical challenges and need of teachers.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe readiness in online learning and aspects that support online learning experienced by students of the English Education Study Program of IKIP PGRI Pontianak. This study used descriptive statistical method. The data collection technique is an indirect communication technique (questionnaire). A close-ended questionnaire readiness in online learning by (Dray et al., 2011) was distributed to 563 students from semester one to semester seven of the IKIP PGRI Pontianak English Education Study Program. This study found that pre-service teachers were ready for the online learning process on campus. The results showed that the average score was 40% from points 1, 4 and 5 about mental access, the results showed that students were not only mentally prepared but also able to add digital experiences about technology. An average score of 94.5% from points 2 and 6 about access to materials, the results of the study show that students are not only material ready but also have network connections in online learning. While the average score of 99.3% is the readiness of pre-service teachers in accessing use and is also very supportive. Not only that, pre-service teachers are supported in 4 aspects such as mental access, material access, skill access and usability access. Based on the research results, pre-service teachers should not only be oriented to conventional teaching, but focus more on the learning process in utilizing technology.

Abstract

This study aims to describe online learning practices in Kayong Utara Regency during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection used semi-structured interviews, with interview tools using interview guidance. This study involved 3 public schools, each school has 5 informants consisting of 1 school leader, 2 English teachers, and 2 students. The researcher used Thematic Analysis and Cross-Case Analysis as data analysis techniques. The results showed that there are 1 school that implements online learning, 1 school that implements hybrid learning, namely offline and online modes, and 1 school that implements offline learning. Implement online learning using applications such as Google Classroom, WhatsApp, Youtube, and Zoom. The challenge faced in designing online learning is the limitation of teachers' ability to use online learning applications. The potential for future improvements is to hold online workshops for teachers, a collaboration between teachers and parents in supervising their children, and infrastructure development to implement online learning in North Kayong Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate online learning practices carried out by schools during the Covid-19 pandemic in SintangRegency. The research implemented a descriptive qualitative approach involving 4 schools spread across Sintang Regency, namely in rural and urban areas. In  thiscase, the 4 schools include 2 Junior High Schools and 2 Senior High Schools. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative, using Thematic Analysis and Cross-case Analysis techniques. The proposed applied direct communication techniques were utilized such tools as interview guidance (open-ended), interview. The results of this study are expected to provide descriptions of the implementation of online learning, the challenges teachers face in designing online learning, and potential improvements that can be made in the future. The research findings indicated that implementation of online learning in Sintangregency have differences, that are in rural schools apply blended learning and urban schools apply fully online learning. In implementing online learning, teachers and students face various challenges, that are teachers are having difficulties in implementing online learning, limited facilities and infrastructure, differences in students' understanding, difficulties of collaboration between parents and students, and issues of motivation in online learners. In further analysis regarding online learning in Sintang Regency, the findings found that the findings found that the potential for future improvements that schools wanted was an evaluation of learning, providing seminar of technology mastery, and synergy of school committees and governments.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SMP Negeri Pontianak. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu mendeskripsikan subjek tentang situasi dan data yang diperoleh selama wawancara dan observasi sehingga menjadi informasi yang berguna dan mudah dipahami oleh pembaca. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran dan penjelasan mengenai kemajuan, tantangan, dan rekomendasi standar pasca Kurikulum Merdeka di SMP. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka telah dilaksanakan dengan baik dan berkelanjutan, dimana dirasakan adanya kemajuan terutama dalam pembelajaran, meskipun demikian masih terdapat kendala dalam pelaksanaannya sehingga perlu adanya kerjasama yang baik antar pihak. sekolah, kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, dan orang tua.
