Abstract

Keinginan siswa belajar tatap muka semakin meningkat setelah masa pandemi berakhir. Abstract

Based on the results of observations made and supported by previous research, it can be seen that the problem-solving ability of students still tends to be low. It can be seen that when students are presented with problem-solving problems, students are resistant and in the end unable to do the problem. Even though mathematical problem solving problems can support students' problem-solving abilities. Problem-solving skills are important as basic mathematical competencies and as provisions for everyday life. The purpose of writing this paper is to analyze the application of the PBL model in developing students' problem-solving skills in mathematics learning in a hybrid context. The subject of this study was a grade VII student at a private school in Bogor. The study used descriptive qualitative methods. The instruments used in this study include learning observation sheets, problem-solving tests, student observation sheets, and teaching reflections. The data obtained from the instrument is then processed in a simple descriptive manner, and the results are analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the application of the PBL model was able to develop the problem-solving ability of grade VII students in mathematics learning. The PBL model is able to equip students to face the challenges of daily life by developing problem-solving skills. Therefore, the suggestion presented to the next researcher is to increase the number of meetings in applying the PBL model to gain a better conceptual understanding for students. Meanwhile, the advice addressed to teachers is to vary the problem solving, one of which is by giving group projects.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding is the students’ skill to understand and explain the material concept based on their thinking. The researcher's finding in one of the schools in Tangerang shows the low students' conceptual understanding of grade XI on the topic Inverse Function with an average of 39%. Meanwhile, the concept in Mathematics is related to one another and becomes fundamental to solving the mathematics problem. In Mathematics, the concept is like a spiral since it's connected between the new learning and prior knowledge. Thus, the concept of understanding is really important to bridge the next material. Therefore, the solution to solve that issue is by applying the REACT learning model as contextual learning that emphasizes conceptual understanding with constructivism philosophy in each stage. The purpose of this research is to find out the application of the REACT learning model to develop students’ conceptual understanding in Grade XI in the topic Inverse Function with descriptive qualitative research. REACT learning model is started by linking the lesson with a real-world situation or students' prior knowledge (relating), then continued by finding the concept (experiencing), then applying it in solving the problem (applying), which can be done by discussing with teacher and friends (cooperating), then the students solve the Mathematics problem based on the new context for deeper understanding (transferring). By those steps, REACT learning model has been proven to develop students' concept understanding become 70% with high criteria.

Abstract

One of the most typical problems experienced during the learning process for mathematics is the lack of student motivation in their studies. To assist students in resolving this problem, the teacher's position as a motivator is essential. It is hoped that the teacher's passion will increase the student's interest in studying, resulting in a successful learning process. This study asks the following question: How can a teacher pique a student's interest in mathematics? The purpose of this study is to examine the significance of the teacher's role as a motivator in promoting students' excitement for learning. Techniques for qualitative research were used to write this essay. The study's subject population consisted of 39 students in grades IX-A and IX-C. Reaching learning goals is hampered by learning problems. For students to achieve these goals, the teacher must be able to motivate them. The findings of this study show that a teacher's role as a motivator can correspond to the indicators of learning mathematics interest. To make it clear how the instructor's position affects students' motivation for learning, the author suggests utilizing the teacher as a motivator more than twice.

Abstract

Mathematical bitterness is one of the critical factors influencing students’ mathematical performance, highlighting the need for further action to address its impact.  However, there has been no instrument thus far that can identify mathematical bitterness, particularly one caused by teacher treatment. This research, therefore, aims to construct an instrument to identify the presence of mathematical bitterness. This research involved 307 senior high school and undergraduate students, who were given and responded to a set of 30 questions. The data were then analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) through IBM SPSS 20. Confirmatory factor analysis grouped the items into six dimensions (indicators) of mathematical bitterness. Each indicator shows a high Cronbach Alpha result, indicating strong validity in each group of indicators. Overall, the constructed instrument demonstrates strong validity and reliability. This instrument has been successfully constructed and statistically tested, thus making it readily available for use by other scholars interested in investigating mathematical bitterness on a broader scale.

Abstract

Learning motivation is important to encourage students to do learning activities. With good learning motivation, students will be able to face learning challenges and successfully achieve learning goals. However, the fact is that 24 students of class XII in one of the schools in Tangerang have low learning motivation. One of the reasons is because the learning method used does not provide space for students to learn according to their diverse characteristics. To overcome this problem, the author applied differentiated learning. Students are unique images of God. They are given different talents by God so they need to be served according to their needs in order to develop and use their talents for the glory of God. The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of differentiated learning according to the Merdeka Curriculum to develop student learning motivation in mathematics learning on the topic of statistics. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the implementation of differentiated learning according to the Merdeka Curriculum can develop student learning motivation by fulfilling the four indicators of learning motivation through the stages of mapping student needs, planning differentiated learning, implementing differentiated learning, and evaluation and reflection.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Motivasi belajar penting untuk mendorong siswa melakukan kegiatan belajar.

Abstract

Abstract

Learning mathematics aims to instill the ability to understand mathematics. This ability is important because it trains students to think deductively and realize the relationship between mathematical concepts in real life. Field facts prove that XI IPA IPS students from a private high school in the Lampung area have difficulty working on contextual questions as a result of their low ability to understand mathematics. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of contextual questions in helping students' mathematical understanding abilities. The subjects in this study were 21 students of class XI IPA IPS at a private school in Lampung. The research method used is descriptive qualitative and data collection through written tests and interviews. The results of the study show that contextual questions can help students' mathematical understanding abilities. Through the results of this study, it is suggested that schools provide training in making contextual questions, teachers need to use contextual questions in learning, and further researchers expand the variables reviewed.

Abstract

Pandemic conditions are continuing and have an impact on learning. Under such conditions, perhaps students are already familiar with distance learning and adapt to those conditions. However, it is undeniable that not all children can still have good motivation during online learning. Student learning motivation must still be moved so that students' enthusiasm for learning continues to be encouraged and can follow the learning. Although there are already several schools that implement Limited Face-to-Face Learning (PTMT), students still need assistance, for example during independent study hours in developing their knowledge. Especially children of Junior High School (SMP) and High School (SMA) or Vocational High School (SMK) age 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 are in the adolescent stage that requires attention so that they can focus on learning. One of the things that can be done to give real attention is to accompany them to study outside of school hours. Tenjo tutoring in collaboration with GKI Gading Serpong is here to answer these problems. The goal is to provide services that directly impact the needs of junior high and high school / vocational school students, especially in encouraging student learning motivation. This tutoring activity is carried out online. After being implemented for 5 months, the student's learning motivation score did not appear to have increased significantly. However, based on open-ended questions, 92% of students stated that they became enthusiastic about learning when taking this tutoring.abstract in BahasaKondisi pandemi masih terus berlanjut dan berdampak terhadap pembelajaran.
