Abstract

The problems of honorary teachers are quite complex, including income problems, low trust in the organization and dissatisfaction at work. These problems can make honorary teachers have the desire to leave their jobs. The desire to leave a person's job is called turnover intention. One of the factors that can inhibit turnover intention is job embeddedness (work engagement). This study aims to examine the relationship between job embeddedness and turnover intention in honorary teachers. The subjects in this study were honorary teachers. The sampling technique in this study was accidental sampling with the number of participants being 270 honorary teachers. Data was collected using the Global Job Embeddedness Scale (GJES) and Turnover Intention Scale (TIS). The results of the analysis showed a significance value (p) = 0.000 (p0.05) with a correlation value (r) = -0.718 and a determination value of 51.5%. This shows that there is a negative relationship between job embeddedness and turnover intention in honorary teachers. Most subjects are in the category of high job embeddedness and low turnover intention. The benefits of this research can provide insights into the various factors that may encourage honorary teachers to remain in their jobs. By understanding the factors that make them feel connected to their work, educational institutions can develop more effective strategies in the future.Permasalahan guru honorer cukup kompleks di antaranya masalah penghasilan, rendahnya kepercayaan terhadap organisasi dan ketidakpuasan dalam bekerja yang dapat menyebabkan guru honorer memiliki keinginan untuk keluar dari pekerjaannya. Keinginan keluar seseorang dari pekerjaannya disebut turnover intention. Salah satu faktor yang dapat menghambat turnover intention adalah job embeddedness (keterikatan kerja). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara job embeddedness dengan turnover intention pada guru honorer. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah guru honorer. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah accidental sampling dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 270 guru honorer. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan Global Job Embeddedness Scale (GJES) dan Turnover Intention Scale (TIS). Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (p) = 0,000 (p0,05) dengan nilai korelasi (r) = -0,718 dan nilai determinasi sebesar 51,5%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang negatif antara job embeddedness dengan turnover intention pada guru honorer. Mayoritas subjek berada pada kategori job embeddedness tinggi dan turnover intention rendah. Manfaat dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan wawasan mengenai berbagai faktor yang dapat membuat guru honorer bertahan di pekerjaannya, dengan memahami faktor yang dapat membuat mereka merasa terikat dengan pekerjaannya, sehingga nantinya institusi pendidikan dapat mengembangkan strategi yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

Medical personnel is a profession with a high workload. High work demands can lead to a decline in physical and emotional health. An in-depth understanding of the impact of workload on health, especially mental health, is crucial to implementing measures for their well-being. This literature review aims to gather and compare available information to produce an apparent picture of the mental health of medical personnel and influencing factors. A comprehensive search was conducted utilizing a variety of electronic databases, including Scopus, Science Direct, Springer Link, ProQuest, EBSCO, MED-LINE, and Google Scholar. The literature search focused on papers assessed with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes (PRISMA) methodology. We identified 16 studies that reported the criteria for in-depth analysis. The study concluded that overburdened medical personnel are prone to burnout, which in turn has the potential to lead to mental health problems. Common disorders are burnout, depression, anxiety, and abnormal stress. Further research sourced from internal individuals needs to be done so that it is expected to be more robust and consistent, considering that medical personnel are very likely to work in more than one institution during the process.

Abstract

X Bank is the largest sharia bank in Indonesia that was established as a merger between three state-owned sharia banks. This merger presents its own challenges with different characteristics of each bank and causing employees to adapt with the changes that occur in X Bank. These changes also play a role in the emergence of resistance to change. During organizational change, organizational support is one of the important parts that can help employees undergoing changes that occur within the organization.This study aims to examine the relationship between perceived organizational support and resistance to change on sharia bank employees post-merger.This research involved 194 samples using non-probability accidental sampling techniques. Data collection in this research is conducted using the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support (SPOS) and Resistance to Change Scale (RTCS) instruments and analyzed using Jeffreys Amazing Statistics Program (JASP). Results show that there is a negative relationship between perceived organizational support and resistance to change among X Bank employees in Banda Aceh. Results also found that perceived organizational support level for X Bank employees were averaging in the high category with resistance to change level for X Bank employees were averaging in the low category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of social media use and the tendency toward online shopping addiction among students at Universitas Syiah Kuala. This research is based on two main data which show that students aged 1824 are the largest group of social media users and online shopping is the most dominant internet activity. Changes in consumption patterns due to social media have the potential to trigger addictive behavior in online shopping. This research uses a quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique and the sample criteria include students at Universitas Syiah Kuala who use social media for more than three hours per day and shop online at least twice per month. The instruments used were the Social Networking Time Use Scale (SONTUS) and the Online Shopping Addiction Scale (OSAS). The analysis using the Spearman Rho test showed a significant positive relationship between the duration of social media use and the tendency toward online shopping addiction (p = 0.001; r = 0.190). Although significant, the strength of the relationship is very weak. This indicates that the longer students use social media, the more likely they are to exhibit signs of online shopping addiction, although the influence is not dominant. Other factors such as economic conditions, purposes of social media use, and individual characteristics also play a role. This study suggests that students should develop awareness in managing their time on social media to prevent excessive consumer behaviors.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara durasi penggunaan media sosial dengan kecenderungan adiksi belanja daring pada mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada dua data penting bahwa mahasiswa usia 18-24 tahun merupakan pengguna media sosial terbesar dan belanja daring menjadi aktivitas dominan di internet. Perubahan pola konsumsi akibat media sosial menimbulkan potensi perlilaku adiktif dalam berbelanja secara daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pemilihan sampel purposive dengan kriteria sampel adalah mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala yang menggunakan media sosial lebih dari tiga jam per hari dan berbelanja daring minimal dua kali per bulan. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Social Networking Time Use Scale (SONTUS) dan Online Shopping Addiction Scale (OSAS). Hasil analisis menggunakan uji Spearman Rho menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara durasi penggunaan media sosial dengan kecenderungan adiksi belanja daring (p = 0,001; r = 0,190). Meskipun hubungan tersebut signifikan, kekuatannya tergolong sangat lemah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin lama mahasiswa menggunakan media sosial, maka kecenderungan untuk mengalami adiksi belanja daring meningkat tetapi pengaruhnya tidak dominan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin lama mahasiswa menggunakan media sosial, maka semakin besar kemungkinan mereka memiliki kecenderungan untuk mengalami adiksi belanja daring. Namun demikian, durasi penggunaan media sosial bukanlah satu-satunya faktor yang memengaruhi kecenderungan tersebut. Faktor-faktor lain seperti kondisi ekonomi, tujuan penggunaan media sosial, dan karakteristik individu turut berperan. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar mahasiswa memiliki kesadaran dalam mengelola waktu di media sosial guna mencegah perilaku konsumtif berlebihan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between materialism and compulsive buying in early adult workers who make online purchases. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational research type. The population in this study were individuals in early adulthood who made online purchases. The number of samples in this research was 300 respondents. The primary data in this study was obtained through a questionnaire distributed by a Google Form. The hypothesis in this study was tested using Pearson Product-Moment. Based on the research data results, it was found that there is a positive and significant relationship between materialism and compulsive buying. The correlation coefficient value of this research is r=0.506 with a significance value (p) of 0.000 (p0.05). It means the relationship between materialism and compulsive buying in this study is in the medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that materialism does not fully contribute to increasing compulsive buying behavior in early adult workers who makes online purchases. However, the variable contributes quite significantly in influencing the emergence of compulsive buying behavior in individuals.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara materialisme dan compulsive buying pada pekerja usia dewasa awal yang melakukan pembelian online. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah individu usia dewasa awal yang melakukan pembelian online. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 300 responden. Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang didistribusikan dalam bentuk Google Form. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diuji menggunakan Pearson Product-Moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian, ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara materialisme dan compulsive buying. Nilai koefisien korelasi penelitian ini adalah sebesar r=0,506 dengan nilai signifikansi (p) sebesar 0,000 (p0,05), artinya kategori hubungan materialisme dan compulsive buying berada pada kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa materialisme tidak sepenuhnya berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan perilaku compulsive buying pada pekerja usia dewasa awal dalam melakukan pembelian online. Namun, kontribusi variabelnya sudah cukup besar untuk memengaruhi kemunculan tindakan compulsive buying pada individu.

Abstract

Burnout merupakan kondisi yang dirasakan individu yang ditandai dengan kelelahan emosional, depersonalisasi, dan ketidakefektifan dalam bekerja sebagai respon terhadap stres pekerjaan. Workplace spirituality berkaitan dengan konstruk yang menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas kinerja, penemuan makna terhadap pekerjaan dengan membangun hubungan yang erat dengan rekan kerja. Burnout merupakan kondisi yang diduga dapat tertangani dengan pemenuhan terhadap adanya workplace spirituality. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat hubungan antara workplace spirituality dengan burnout pada anggota Brigade Mobil (Brimob) dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasi. Sebanyak 258 anggota Brimob terlibat sebagai sampel penelitian ini yang dipilih dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling. Adapun pengumpulan data penelitian dengan menggunakan dua instrumen, yaitu workplace spirituality dan Maslach Burnout Inventory. Hasil analisa Spearman menunjukkan terdapat hubungan negatif antara workplace spirituality dengan burnout pada anggota Brigade Mobil (Brimob).Burnout is a condition felt by individuals characterised by emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation, and ineffectiveness at work in response to job stress. Workplace spirituality relates to constructs that demonstrate improved quality of performance, finding meaning to work by building close relationships with colleagues. Burnout is a condition that is thought to be manageable with the fulfilment of workplace spirituality. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between workplace spirituality and burnout among members of the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) using a quantitative approach with a correlational design. A total of 258 Brimob members, selected using random cluster sampling, were included as samples in this study. The research data were collected using two instruments: workplace spirituality and the Maslach Burnout Inventory. The results of the Spearman analysis showed a negative relationship between workplace spirituality and burnout among members of the Mobile Brigade (Brimob).

Abstract

A gampong, generally known as a village, is a legal community unit with territorial boundaries and is led by a keuchik or other name who has the right to carry out their household affairs. In its implementation, there are obstacles felt by the village government while working, such as the condition of the work environment that results in low quality of work life. In contrast, the quality of work life must be conditioned by the organization so that the welfare and productivity of employees go well, one way to improve the quality of work life is to apply job characteristics model. Job characteristics are job attributes that have a motivational function for employees. Therefore, research is needed to determine the relationship between job characteristics and the quality of work life of the village government. This study used a quantitative approach with purposive sampling data collection techniques. The research sample comprised 297 village governments in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. Data was collected using the Job Diagnostic Survey scale and the quality of work-life scale. The results of this study explained that the hypothesis is accepted where the significance value is p = 0.000, which meant that there was a relationship between job characteristics and the quality of working life of the village government. That is, the higher the job characteristics, the higher the quality of work life of the village governments. This study found that the job characteristics and quality of work life were in the medium category. The results also found that the quality of work life in the Banda Aceh village government was higher than that of the Aceh Besar village government. This is due to clear working hours and higher salaries, in addition to weekly supervision from the sub-district on the performance of the Banda Aceh village government.

Abstract

Career maturity is one of the developmental tasks that students must fulfill as early adults or late adolescents. Good career maturity will affect the selection of a student career life in the future. One of the factors that influence student career maturity is parent career behavior. Parent career behavior is a parent's behavior or parenting style related to a child's career. This research uses quantitative research methods with a correlation approach. The purpose of this study was to see a relationship between parent career behavior and career maturity in Syiah Kuala University students. Sampling using a nonprobability sampling technique of quota sampling type with a total of 332 research respondents. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between parent career behavior and career maturity in Syiah Kuala University students. The hypothesis test was carried out using the Spearman Correlation technique and obtained a significance value (p)=0.000 (p<0.05) and a correlation coefficient value (r)=0.428. In addition, the results of the study also showed that most respondents were in the category of career maturity and moderate parent career behavior.

Abstract

In addition to having a busy course in college, some students also have activities outside of college; have a job. Dense lecture activities and busy work carried out can cause work-study conflicts in students. Work-study conflict is a work activity that interferes with student learning activities to meet demands and obligations related to school or campus. One of the factors that can reduce work-study conflict is resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and work-study conflict. This study used quantitative methods with a correlation approach. The data collection procedure uses a nonprobability sampling technique of accidental sampling type with a sample of 170 people collected using google research form. The research measurement tool used the Work Study Conflict Scale (WSCS) with Alpha Croanbach (α) 0.777 and the Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) with Alpha Croanbach (α) 0.930. The hypothesis test was carried out using the Spearman Correlation technique, obtaining a significance value (p) = 0.471 (p<0.05). The results showed there is no negative relationship between resilience and work-study conflict in working students. In addition, the results also showed that the majority of research subjects were in the high work-study conflict category and the high resilience category.

Abstract

Individu yang bekerja sebagai tenaga kesehatan menghadapi banyak tuntutan pekerjaan yang tinggi sehingga memberikan dampak pada kehidupan pribadi, seperti keluarga. Salah satu dampak yang dihasilkan yaitu adanya konflik peran ganda karena ketidakseimbangan dalam memenuhi tuntutan tugas pekerjaan (profesional) dan juga dalam kehidupan berumah tangga. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah untuk melihat gambaran konflik peran ganda pada tenaga kesehatan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Langsa yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik deskriptif. Sebanyak 160 tenaga kesehatan RSUD Langsa terlibat sebagai sampel penelitian yang dipilih dengan menggunakan metode nonprobability sampling dengan teknik insidental sampling dengan kriteria menikah, memiliki anak, dan bekerja dengan sistem shift. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan alat ukur yang telah diterjemahkan ke bahasa Indonesia melalui proses expert review sehingga instrumen penelitian tervalidasi dan reliabel. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan berdasarkan profesinya, diketahui bahwa perawat lebih dominan memiliki konflik dibandingkan profesi tenaga kesehatan lainnya, yaitu dominan mengalami konflik FWC yang berbasis waktu dilihat dari rentang usia, maka tenaga kesehatan dengan rentang usia 26-35 tahun dominan mengalami konflik WFC, usia 36-45 tahun dominan mengalami konflik FWC. Selanjutnya berdasarkan jumlah anak yang dimiliki di dapatkan hasil bahwa tenaga kesehatan dengan jumlah anak 3 dominan mengalami WFC, sedangkan tenaga kesehatan dengan jumlah anak 4 dominan mengalami FWC Individuals who work as health workers deal with many high work demands that impact their personal lives, such as family. One of the resulting impacts is a work-family conflict due to an imbalance in fulfilling the work (professional) duties and also in home life.The research aims to describe work-family conflict to the health workers at the Langsa General Hospital, which was carried out using a quantitative approach with descriptive techniques. All 160 Langsa General Hospital health workers involved as research samples were selected using a non-probability sampling method with an incidental sampling technique with the criteria married, having a child, and working on a shift system. The research data collection used the work-family conflict scale translated into Indonesian through an expert review process so that the research instrument was validated and reliable. The research result according to profession, it is known that nurses were more dominant in conflict than other health worker professions, namely in experiencing time-based FWC conflict from the age range, health workers with an age range of 26-35 years predominantly experience WFC conflict, age 36-45 years predominantly experience FWC conflict. Furthermore, based on the number of children owned, the results show that health workers with three children predominantly experience WFC, while health workers with four children predominantly experience FWC
