Abstract

Autonomous Ground Vehicle (UGV) technology has shown a fast development this past year and proven to be useful. The use of UGV technology is restricted on a particular road condition. Classification of the road is an essential process in UGV, especially to control the autonomous vehicle. For example, the speed could be adjusted by referring to the road type, these process require a fast computational time. This research focuses on finding the most discriminant feature while keeping the number of features into a minimum to obtain fast computational time and accurate classification result. One can experiences difficulties because the condition of the road varies, this research proposes a combination of Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) a statistical method to extract feature and Local Binary Pattern (LBP) feature to improve the robustness of the features. The kNN classifier is used to do the classification with the accuracy of 98% and 12 picture processed per second.

Abstract

The morphological alterations of the retinal blood vessels are important indicators that can be utilized to diagnose and track the progression of a number of disorders. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a condition that destroys the retina and is the major cause of visual loss caused by high blood glucose levels. One of the retinal objects impacted by DR is the blood vessel. By regularly monitoring changes in the retinal blood vessels, severe DR or even vision loss can be avoided. The condition of the blood vessel can be examined by segmenting the blood vessel area from a digital fundus image. Segmenting retinal blood vessels manually, on the other hand, is time-consuming and tedious, and especially when dealing with a high number of photographs. As a result, a system for segmenting retinal blood vessels automatically is crucial. Furthermore, methods for automatically segmenting retinal blood vessels are useful for person authentication systems based on the retina. Blood vessel segmentation can be accomplished in a number of ways. Based on the prior line operator method, an improved version of the line operator method is proposed in this paper. The proposed method demonstrates an improvement in accuracy over the previous method, with an accuracy of 94.61%.

Abstract

Highways are an important component of any country. However, some highways in Indonesia endanger users while maintaining road safety. Crack detection early in the deterioration process can prevent further damage and lower maintenance costs. A recent study sought to develop a method for detecting road damage by combining the road damage detection (RDD) dataset with generative adversarial network technology and data augmentation to improve training. The current study aims to broaden the you only look once (YOLO) framework by incorporating the Swin Transformer into the chiral stationary phases (CSP) component of YOLOv7, with the goal of improving object detection accuracy in a variety of visual scenarios. The study compares the performance of various object detection models with varying parameters and configurations, such as YOLOv5l, YOLOv6l, YOLOv7-tiny, YOLOv7, and YOLOv7x. YOLOv5l has 46 million parameters and 108 billion floating point operations per second (FLOPS), whereas YOLOv6l has 59.5 million parameters and 150 billion FLOPS. With 31 million parameters and 140 billion FLOPS, the YOLOv7-swin model performs best with mean average precision (mAP), mAP_0.50 of 0.47. and mAP_0.5:0.95 of 0.232. The experimental results show that our YOLOv7-swin model outperforms both YOLOv7x and YOLOv7-tiny. The proposed model significantly improves object detection accuracy while keeping complexity and performance in balance.
