Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the treasurer certification policy in the APBN management work unit at KPPN Medan II. This study uses a qualitative approach where the researcher is the key instrument, the data collection technique is trangulation (observation, interviews, and documentation), the data obtained tend to be qualitative data, the data analysis is qualitative, and the results of qualitative research are to understand the meaning and construct phenomena. implementation of the treasurer certification policy. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the treasurer certification policy has not yet reached the ideal condition, namely the achievement of all certified treasurers no later than 4 years since Presidential Regulation Number 7 of 2016 concerning Certification of Treasurers of the State Budget Management Work Unit comes into force. This is due to inconsistencies in policy implementation due to the non-compliance of the Head of the Work Unit in fulfilling the commitments in the Statement of Ability for the Treasurer to take the treasurer certification at the first opportunity. In addition, the incentive indicator is also one of the inhibiting factors for treasurers from participating in treasurer certification because treasurers feel that the workload, risks, and responsibilities are not balanced with the rewards received and the treasurer's career path is unclear.

Abstract

The research wants to observe public opinion about women who work in hotel affairs. The problem about working in hotel is the working hour, sometimes in day time, but also night time. The condition make negative perception about working women in hotel affairs. This is descriptive analysis research. The result shows that most people have positive response about working women in hotel affairs because it increase family income.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of self-efficacy and work motivation on employee performance at the secretariat of the medan city DPRD, the research desaign was a quantitative approach with a descriptive verification method, the sample used in this studywere are civil servants in the secretariat office of the medan city DPRD, namely 50 employees, except for civil servant appraisers, the sampling technique is probability sampling with purposive sampling technique, data analysis is carried out with multiple linear regression, the most dominan variable effecting employee performance is work motivation variable while self-efficacy variable does not significantly affect employee performance at the secretariatt of the city DPRD medan, besides that, self-efficacy and work motivation simultaneosly affect the performance of employees at the secretariat of the medan city DPRD.

Abstract

One of the effects of the transition period that occurs on young women is the perception that they look beautiful by doing an excessive diet so that it can cause eating disorders that affect themselves and their social relationships. This study aims to see the relationship between self-confidence and eating disorder anorexia nervosa in adolescents. This study uses correlational quantitative methods by analyzing the dynamics between phenomena, both risk factors and effect factors. The design was cross sectional to see the relationship between exposure status (risk factors) and observed effects. The results of the analysis showed that self-confidence had a significant relationship with eating disorder anorexia nervosa in adolescents, amounting to 28.42%. This is indicated by the coefficient value (rx1y = -0.865) with a significance level (p = 0.000 0.01), which is very significant. This means that the hypothesis is accepted, and because rx1y is negative, eating disorder Anorexia Nervosa has a very significant negative relationship with self-confidence.

Abstract

Community service activities are one of the activities that aim to assist the government in improving Good Government. Community participation is still very low in implementing the principles of good government. Yet society is a very important part of these principles. Because the role of the community is still very low, community service is held in the form of counseling and socialization about the importance of community participation in improving good government. To realize a civil society, good governance is needed, both at the center and at the local level so that they can work well together so that the goals desired by the community are carried out, and this is not the task of the central government alone but the government under it starting from the village government and local government. that is what we know as the implications of village autonomy. The village community is expected to become a useful community, especially in the process of administering government (at the village level in particular). Because the participation of the village community is a real embodiment of Good governance. This kind of society will be solid and actively participate in determining various government policies. In addition, this kind of society will also carry out an effective supervisory function in the implementation of government administration. If the community is not yet effective in front of the government and there are still many social problems in it such as conflict and group anarchism, it is very unlikely that Good governance can be implemented.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui teknik Komunikasi Interpersonal Guru BP dalam menangani siswa–siswa bermasalah, mengetahui peranan Guru BP dalam menangani siswa yang bermasalah, mengetahui bagaimana langkah–langkah Guru BP dalam menangani siswa bermasalah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dengan jenis deskriptif  kualitatif. Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif yaitu penelitian yang tidak  mencari  atau  menjelaskan  hubungan,  tidak  menguji  hipotesis  ataupun  membuat prediksi.  Hasil penelitian bahwa apabila hubungan emosional guru dan siswa terjalin baik maka akan terbuka ruang bagi Guru BP untuk melakukan intervensi atau bimbingan khusus pada siswa yang bermasalah, perlunya tahapan–tahapan maupun proses komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif yang dilakukan Guru BP terhadap para siswa yang bermasalah, dalam menjalankan kedisiplinan pada siswa yang bermasalah Guru BP dan pihak sekolah sebaiknya membuat peraturan–peraturan yang lebih tegas. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh melalui penelitian ini adalah melalui hubungan emosional guru dan siswa terjalin baik maka akan terbuka ruang bagi Guru BP untuk melakukan tahapan–tahapan maupun proses komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif yang dilakukan Guru BP.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the Representation Altruism of Marie Colvin a War Journalists in the movie A Private War by using the semiotic perspective of Roland Barthes's which oriented towards Denotation, Connotation and Myth. The representation in A Private War presents a strong message of altruism, because this movie is not only showed with the aim of entertaining, but also to show the value of altruism / goodness that can be applied to the general public.  The biographical film, A Private War was made as the symbols to show morality, tolerance, empathy and respect to others  as the citizens of a country whose rights are also protected by law. Researchers used a qualitative methodology with a critical paradigm approach and descriptive research. Data collection techniques used were observation, documentation and interviews. Primary data obtained directly from observations on the object of research, a movie by Matthew Heineman entitled A Private War. Meanwhile, secondary data were obtained from library research and interviews with the informants to support this research. From this research, were found nine altruism of Marie Colvin, both in scenes and text in the form of conversation sentences in the movie A Private War.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah isi pesan dakwah dalam bentuk video dan gambar yang bervariasi dari Instagram Media Sosial dapat memainkan peran dalam pengembangan individu untuk bermigrasi dan mengeksplorasi ajaran Agama Islam di kalangan UMA Siswa psikologi. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi untuk fokus pada sikap, kontrol sosial dan norma subjektif dari pengguna Instagram. Hasil penelitian memberikan pemahaman bahwa Instagram dapat memberikan motivasi kepada informan untuk terus meningkatkan diri dan sikap teguh terutama dalam tampil dan berperilaku sesuai dengan hukum Islam, dan komitmen untuk lebih meningkatkan pengabdian kepada Allah Subhana Wa Taala. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh melalui penelitian ini bahwa peran pesan dakwah di instagram dapat mengubah persepsi informan tentang kehidupan. Sedikit banyaknya followers mereka tetap membagikan pesan-pesan dakwah. Faktor-faktor pendukung dalam berhijrah yaitu: Kesadaran diri sendiri akan hidup yang sementara dan kematian yang rahasia; Orang tua yang mendukung dan memperkenalkan nilai-nilai Islam sejak kecil; Lingkungan islami dan teman-teman terdekat yang mendukung keputusan untuk berhijrah; dan Pengajian yang diadakan di lingkungan kampus UMA serta kuatnya dukungan dari kampus dalam proses hijrah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the marketing communication activities of the Karo District Tourism and Culture Office in increasing tourist visits and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Karo District Tourism and Culture marketing communication activities. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, a technique that describes, describes and interprets the object under study systematically so that researchers can find out how marketing communication activities through observation and in-depth interviews with informants. The results of this study are marketing communication activities carried out by the Karo Regency Tourism and Culture Office, namely Advertising, Sales Promotion, and Personal Selling. This activity is carried out to increase tourist arrivals, especially Bukit Gundaling. Supporting factors to attract tourist visits are the potential of Bukit Gundaling attractions such as the natural beauty and the cool air and the visible peak of Mount Sinabung. And also social media that are currently in demand by young people which facilitates the dissemination of information about the Bukit Gundaling tourist attraction. Barriers from the marketing communication activities of the Karo Regency Tourism and Culture Office are minimal budget, lack of coordination with other agencies, and infrastructure that must be improved.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bentuk komunikasi terapeutik tenaga kesehatan pada fase orientasi, fase kerja dan fase penyelesaian terhadap pasien rawat inap di Rumah Sakit Umum Haji Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah desktiptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pada fase orientasi atau tahap awal telah dilakukan pelayanan komunikasi kesehatan dengan tujuan utama untuk merumuskan kontrak asuhan medis dan keperawatan dengan pasien, namun diperoleh temuan bahwa keterampilan atau kemampuan komunikasi tenaga kesehatan belum merata dimiliki. Masih ada dokter dan paramedis yang tidak menanyakan perasaan pasien, tidak menggunakan nada suara yang lembut dan simpatik, tampilan ekspresi wajah yang datar, dan kurang memberikan sapaan humor yang dapat mencairkan suasana. Kata kunci: komunikasi, terapeutik, pasien, rawat inap
