Abstract

The job market has a strong influence on the preferences of new graduates. One of these phenomena occurred at the Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. Although the field occupied in this educational institution is pedagogic science, many graduates from this university are indifferent to the scientific family. This study aims to analyze the effect of work interest in Mechanical Engineering Education (MEE) industrial students on income, attention, willingness, family environment, and community environment. This study uses the ex-post-facto method. This study involved 82 students. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with a questionnaire to collect data. The results showed that: (1) income expectations, attention, willingness, family environment, and community environment all had a positive and significant effect on interest in working in the industry; (2) income expectations have a positive and significant effect on job interest in the industry; (3) Attention has a positive and significant effect on interest in working in the industry, (4) willingness has a positive and significant effect on interest in working in the industry, (5) family environment has a positive and significant effect on interest in working in the industry, and (6) community environment has an effect positive and significant to work interest in the industry.

Abstract

The research aims to increase the learning interest and learning outcomes of automotive basic work. This type of research is classroom action research with three cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning; action, observation, reflection. The research subjects were students of class X TSM SMK Tunas Bangsa Wanareja with a total of 19 students. The object of research is the learning interest and learning outcomes of Automotive Basic Work. Data analysis techniques using quantitative analysis. The results showed that the application of the PjBL model could increase the learning interest and learning outcomes of Automotive Basic Work. Increased learning interest can be seen from the results of the first cycle of 55.53%, increased in the second cycle to 66.38% and increased again in the third cycle to 80.59%. Increased learning outcomes can be seen from the results of the first cycle of 52.63% increased in the second cycle to 68.42% and increased again in the third cycle to 89.47%.

Abstract

This studi aimed to determine the level of the social competence of the students of The Mechanical Engineering Education of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University. This study is descriptive research. The study was conducted  in Vocational Education School that became a parner in the implementation Magang III. The populations were students of The mechanical Engineering Education of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University who were implementation of the Magang III in academic year 2017/2018 as many as 88 people. Data collected using the questionnaire method. As the data source is students of The mechanical Engineering Education of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University as many as 72 people, teacher as Magang III tutor as many as 72 people, and students of Vocational Education School as many as 316 people. Analysis using descriptive statistics. The results show that the social competence of the students of The Mechanical Engineering Education of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University are: 1) according to the students of The Mechanical Engineering Education of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University is in “enough” category with an average value of 35,02%; 2) according to teacher as Magang III tutor is in “enough” category with an average value of 27,33%; and 3) according to students of Vocational Education School is in “enough” category with an average value of 27,41%.

Abstract

Pra vokasional adalah upaya mengenalkan anak pada dunia kerja dan ini harus dilakukan  pada semua anak sejak usia dini sehingga anak dapat memiliki arahan hidup untuk masa depan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pendidikan pra vokasional  pada siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD N Gambiran, Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah guru dengan pengalaman mengajar diatas 5 tahun berjumlah tiga orang. Subjek dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran pra vokasional di SD N Gambiran yogyakarta dilakukan melalui  mata pelajaran tematik. Materi pelajaran pra vokasi untuk siswa kelas 1 sampai 4 meliputi Self Awareness (Keterampilan diri), Social Skill (keterampilan sosial), Thinking Skill (kemampuan berpikir), Academic Skill (kemampuan akademik). Sedangkan materi pembelajaran untuk kelas kelas 5 dan 6 adalah pembekalan pendidikan pra vokasional yang  berfokus pada Vocational Skill (Kemampuan Kejuruan). Pelaksanaan pembelajaran pra vokasional harus dilaksanakan di semua sekolah dasar, sehingga wawasan vokasional dapat ditanamkan sejak dini. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) hubungan antara Prestasi Praktik Kerja Industri dengan minat Berwirausaha; (2) hubungan antara Pengetahuan Kewirausahaan terhadap Minat; dan (3) hubungan antara Prestasi Praktik Kerja Industri dan Pengetahuan Kewirausahaan dengan Minat Berwirausaha siswa Kelas XI Progam Keahlian Teknik dan Bisnis Sepeda Motor SMK Manggala Tama  Binangun  Tahun  ajaran  2019/2020.  Jenis  penelitian  ini  adalah  ex-post  facto.  Populasi penelitian  adalah  siswa  kelas  XI  TBSM  SMK  Manggala  Tama  Binangun  tahun  2018/2019. Penentuan sampel dengan melihat tabel Isaac dan Michael dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Dari 110 anggota populasi ditemukan sampelnya sejumlah 84 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, tes pilihan ganda dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif, uji hipotesis pertama dan kedua menggunakan uji korelasi parsial dan uji hipotesis ketiga menggunakan regresi ganda dua prediktor yang didahului uji persyaratan analisis, yaitu uji normalitas, uji linieritas dan uji multikolinearitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada hubungan positif yang tidak signifikan antara hasil praktik kerja industri dengan minat berwirausaha siswa kelas XI Jurusan Teknik Bisnis Sepeda Motor SMK Manggala Tama Binangun, Cilacap; (2) ada hubungan positif yang  signifikan  antara  pengetahuan  kewirausahaan  dengan  minat  berwirausaha  siswa  kelas  XI Jurusan Teknik Bisnis Sepeda Motor Honda SMK Manggala Tama Binangun; dan (3) ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara hasil praktik kerja industri dan pengetahuan kewirausahaan terhadap minat berwirausaha siswa kelas XI Jurusan Teknik Bisnis Sepeda Motor Honda SMK Manggala Tama Binangun, Cilacap

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran dan mengetahui kelayakan video tutorial pada pembelajaran sistem rem mata pelajaran pemeliharaan sasis sepeda motor kelas XI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian pengembangan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI TBSM 2 dan TBSM 3 Teknik Bisnis Sepeda Motor Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Prosedur yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas 4 tahapan yaitu (1) tahap pembuatan konsep yang meliputi analisa awal, analisa akhir, pengumpulan materi dan pendukung materi, (2) tahap pembuatan produk yang meliputi design dan assembly, (3) tahap uji coba (testing) validasi oleh ahli media, ahli materi, kemudian dilanjutkan evaluasi atau penilaian orang guru bidang studi, evaluasi atau penilaian  teman sejawat, dan uji coba terhadap siswa (4) distribution yaitu dengan mengunggah (uploud) di youtub. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penilaian kelayakan media pembelajaran video tutorial adalah: (1) penilaian ahli materi sebesar 89,58%. (2) penilaian ahli media sebesar 94,04%. (3)  penilaian guru sebesar 94,04%. (4) penilaian tanggapan reviewer teman sejawat sebesar 95,4%. (5) tanggapan siswa  sebesar 81,06%. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian dan tanggapan yang diperoleh tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis video tutorial pembelajaran sistem rem ini sangat layak digunakan dan dikembangkan.

Abstract

Work development in the 21st century requires new multiple intelligence qualifications for vocational education (VE) to face it. This research reveals a new multiple intelligence qualification along with its application procedures and assessment aspects for VE. Industry practitioners and higher vocational education were involved in exploring data related to the topic in this research. Data collection on practitioners was carried out in two stages, starting with interviews and continuing with Focus Group Discussions. The transcribed data was then explained and interpreted using NVivo 12 plus. Four multiple intelligences are essential to industry practitioners and higher vocational education, namely interpersonal, intrapersonal, logistical, and naturalistic intelligence. Building these four multiple intelligences requires infrastructure support that is dominated by digital infrastructure, emphasis on the role of responsibility for the subjects involved in learning, increasing the readiness of teachers and students before learning, and determining learning strategies to encourage independence in students to explore in depth about what should be done achieved. These new intelligences are assessed based on three main aspects: self-assessment methods, peer assessment and meaningful project assessment. These findings are essential recommendations for education and learning administrators in VE to implement the four new multiple intelligences optimally and according to current work needs

Abstract

This study aims to develop web-based learning media using the Google Sites platform for starter system materials while testing its feasibility. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) using the 4-D model according to Thiagarajan et al. (1974), including the stages of defining (define), designing (design), developing (develop), and disseminating (disseminate). The research subjects involved class XII students of Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering (TKRO) at SMK Piri Sleman. The feasibility of the media was assessed by material experts and media experts through a questionnaire instrument, while the data was analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results show that the web-based learning media through Google Sites obtained a feasibility score of 95.00% according to material experts, 93.75% according to media experts, and 88.85% based on responses from 20 students, all of which are categorized as highly feasible. Compared to conventional offline media, this media is superior in accessibility, multimedia integration, and ease of content updates. These results demonstrate the potential of this media in increasing student engagement and supporting flexible independent learning.

Abstract

The study of dynamic electrical physics among first-semester students is often unpopular because it is considered abstract and difficult to relate to real-world applications. To foster a positive attitude and interest in the subject matter, contextual and technology-based learning strategies are needed. This study aims to apply a simulation of a BLDC electric motor using the open-source software GNU Octave in the context of electric vehicles, as well as to describe students' affective responses after participating in the learning activity. The study employs a quantitative descriptive approach with participants being students from the Physics Education and Vocational Mechanical Engineering Education programs. The simulation was developed based on the mathematical model of the BLDC electric motor and visualized using numerical methods in GNU Octave. After participating in the simulation-based learning activity, students were asked to complete a questionnaire measuring affective aspects such as interest, motivation, and attitude toward physics learning based on applications. The questionnaire results indicated that the majority of students responded positively to the use of simulations. The research results indicate that over 90% of students demonstrated interest, motivation, and positive attitudes toward simulation-based physics learning on electric motors. Students also evaluated GNU Octave as an attractive, free, and relevant tool for learning needs in the digital age. Thus, the application of GNU Octave as a simulation medium not only supports conceptual understanding indirectly but is also effective in fostering students' affective aspects toward physics and electric vehicle technology learning.
