Abstract

Abstract: The teacher-centered approach in the learning process leads to students' difficulties in independent learning. Modules serve as sources and learning materials that can be utilized by students for self-study. This research aims to: 1) Develop a learning module on automatic transmission in the automotive chassis system subject; 2) Validate the learning module with the expertise of subject matter and media specialists. This research, conducted as Research and Development (R&D), follows the ADDIE development model, consisting of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product developed from this research is a learning module. The research subjects are 11th-grade students from Kanisius 1 Pakem Vocational High School majoring in Light Vehicle Engineering. Validation of the learning module is carried out by subject matter experts and media specialists using a questionnaire. Data analysis employs a quantitative descriptive method. The research results indicate that: 1) The learning module on automatic transmission has been successfully created; 2) The module is deemed valid by subject matter experts with a validity rate of 93.3% and by media specialists with a validity rate of 94.4%; 3) Student responses show that this learning module is suitable for use in the educational process, with an overall suitability rate of 76.57%. Abstract

This research aims to produce an electric bicycle learning module suitable for learning in the Motorcycle Technology Practice course at the PVTM study program of Sarjana Wiyata Tamansiswa University. The type of research used is R&D (Research and Development) with reference to the four-D model (define, design, develop, disseminate). The research site was carried out at Sarjana Wiyata Tamansiswa University and the research time was carried out from November 27 to December 4, 2023. The research subjects consisted of 2 expert validators of Mechanical Engineering Vocational Education, and respondents of 17 students in the Motorcycle Technology Practice (PTSM) course of Universitas Sarjana Wiyata Tamansiswa. This research data collection technique uses observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that: (1) The development of the 350 watt universal sunrace electric bike learning module had several steps, namely: (a) observation and interviews, (b) designing with module needs analysis, drafting, testing, validation, revision, (c) developing with module validation by media experts and material experts followed by revision, field trials on students, (d) disseminating bicycle modules electricity to PVTM students of Universitas Sarjana Wiyata Tamansiswa; (2) The feasibility assessment of material experts shows an average score of 90.25% and is included in the Very Decent category; Media expert raters showed an average score of 95.00% and were included in the Very Decent category; and (3) Student responses to the electric bicycle learning module showed an average score of 86.25% and entered the Very Decent category. Thus, the electric bike learning module developed can be categorized as Suitable for classroom or independent learning use. This is because the module can be used as a reference for teaching materials for PVTM students of Sarjana Wiyata Tamansiswa University as a reference in explaining electric bicycle learning materials at Sarjana Wiyata Tamansiswa University.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationships between learning motivation, learning achievement in Motorcycle Engine Maintenance, and interest in working in the industrial sector among class XI TBSM students at SMK Tamansiswa Jetis Yogyakarta. Conducted between December 2023 and July 2024, this correlational research used a quantitative approach with a sample of 38 students. The independent variables were learning motivation and learning achievement, while the dependent variable was interest in working in the industrial sector. Data was collected through questionnaires and documentation, and analyzed using SPSS with descriptive analysis, normality tests, linearity tests, multicollinearity tests, and both simple and multiple regression analyses. The results showed: 1) a significant positive relationship between learning motivation and interest in working (p = 0.00, r = 0.69); 2) a significant positive relationship between learning achievement in Motorcycle Engine Maintenance and interest in working (p = 0.00, r = 0.30); and 3) a significant positive relationship between learning motivation, learning achievement, and interest in working (p = 0.00, r = 0.69). It concludes that both learning motivation and achievement significantly influence students’ interest in working in the industrial sector. The study recommends that schools focus on motivating students and researchers explore other factors influencing career interest.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul sistem EFI dan mengetahui kelayakannya sebagai bahan ajar pada mata pelajaran PMKR kelas XI Jurusan TKR SMK Muhammadiyah Mlati Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan atau R&D. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu model 4-D yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yaitu tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan diseminasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan lembar angket. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket tertutup yang diajukan kepada ahli materi, ahli media, dan siswa sebagai responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis kuantitatif untuk mengetahui persentase kelayakan  modul. Hasil penelitian berupa sebuah modul yang memiliki spesifikasi: (1) Kata Pengantar, (2) Daftar Isi, (3) Daftar Gambar, (4) Peta Kedudukan Modul, (5) Isi, (6) penutup. Pengaturan modul: (1) Ukuran Kertas: A4 70gr, (2) Halaman Sampul: Hardcover, (3) Spasi: 1.5, (4) Margins atas: 4cm, kiri: 4cm, kanan: 3cm, bawah: 3cm. Hasil penelitian terhadap kelayakan modul oleh ahli materi memperoleh rerata skor 4,92 atau 98,32% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil penilaian kelayakan modul oleh ahli media memperoleh rerata skor 3,86 atau 77,24% dengan kategori layak, dan hasil penilaian modul oleh peserta didik memperoleh rerata skor sebesar 3,99 atau 79,97% dengan kategori layak. Sehingga modul  Sistem Bahan Bakar Bensin EFI layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar.

Abstract

The research aims to determine: (1) The process of developing the Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit; (2) Feasibility of the developed Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit; and (3) The effectiveness of the developed Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit. The type of research used is development research using a 4-D model. The research subjects consisted of 20 students, while the research object was the Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit. Data collection uses observation, questionnaires and tests. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively, quantitatively, and inferentially using gain test statistics. The research results show that: (1) The process of developing the Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit with the 4-D model includes 4 stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate; (2) The feasibility test of the Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit obtained very good results with details of the average results from media experts at 88.75%, from material experts at 92.50%, from lecturers at 92.50 %, from small group trials 86%, and from large group trials 87.75%; and (3) The effectiveness test results show that the Toyota Avanza K3-VE engine management system training kit developed is effective for use in lectures with an N-gain result of 0.62.

Abstract

This research is a development research (research and development) with the development of learning media in the form of Automotive Body Engineering modules in Class XI Body Painting Subjects at SMK Kristen 5 Klaten using the Four-D method by Thiagarajan and Semmel which has been modified. The stages used in the module development process are the defining stage (define), the design stage (design), the development stage (develop) and the dissemination stage (disseminate). Collecting feasibility data using questionnaires and observations. This study involved material experts, media experts, subject teachers and students to obtain module feasibility assessments and responses. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive analysis.The results showed that: 1) produce an Automotive Body Engineering learning module; 2) the Automotive Body Engineering learning module at SMK Kristen 5 Klaten is feasible to use based on the results of material expert validation with a percentage of 76.08% and the results of validation by media experts with a percentage of 73.80% with a decent category; The results of the assessment of the feasibility level of the Automotive Body Engineering learning module at SMK Kristen 5 Klaten by the subject teacher with a percentage of 88.23% with a decent category; 4) The results of the assessment response from class XI students were 94.14% with a very feasible category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul ajar Sepeda Motor Listrik yang layak digunakan untuk mata pelajaran Ototronik kelas XI TBSM di SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Four-D dari Tiagarajan dan Sammel, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan angket. Tahapan yang digunakan dalam pengembangan modul ajar meliputi define, design, development dan disseminate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validasi oleh ahli materi (90%), ahli media (88,75%), respon kelayakan dari guru (89,16%) dan respon kelayakan peserta didik (83,57%), secara keseluruhan modul ajar sepeda motor listrik dikategorikan “sangat layak” dan modul siap menjadi pedoman pembelajaran. Sebagai rekomendasi, modul ini perlu diimplementasikan secara menyeluruh di SMK tersebut. Penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas terhadap hasil belajar dan keterampilan siswa setelah menggunakan modul ajar dan bila perlu memperbarui modul dengan informasi terbaru, serta memperluas penyebarannya ke SMK lain yang memiliki jurusan serupa.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) develop the Carburetor Gasoline Fuel System module; (2) find out the feasibility of the module in Engine Maintenance and Components subject at’’eleventh’’grade students’’of Technical Light Vehicle’’at’’SMK Muhammadiyah’1’Bambanglipuro. In’conducting this research, the researcher used an educational research and develop (R&D) method. The researcher developed a learning media of the Engine Maintenance Module and Its Components of the Carburetor Gasoline Fuel System using the modified Four-D method by Thiagarajan and Semmel. The stages used in the module development process were the define stage, the design stage, the develop stage and the disseminate stage. The feasibility data collection used questionnaire and observation. To get the assessment and response of module feasability, this research also involved material expert, media expert, the teacher and the students. The descriptive’analysis’is’used’as’the data’analysis’technique.’ The’results ‘howed’that’the’process’of developing the Carburetor Gasoline Fuel System module was based on the define stage, the design stage, the development stage and the disseminate stage. The results of the module feasibility level assessment conducted by material expert obtained 85% eligibility level with a very feasible category. According to media expert, the feasibility level was 81.03%’with’a’very’decent’category.’Meanwhile,’the’influential teacher gained 80.20%’’with’a’very decent’category.’The students’ response was 80.80% with’a’very’decent’category.’In conclusion,’the Carburetor Gasoline Fuel System module is appropriate and able to help the learning process at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bambanglipuro.

Abstract

AThis study aims to: (1) produce a learning module for the fuel (2) to determine the feasibility of the resulting fuel system module to be used as teaching material. This study is a research and development study with the development of learning media in the form of an injection fuel system module in Light Vehicle Engine Maintenance lessons for class XII students of the Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering expertise program. This research was carried out at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta using the modified Four-D method by Thiagarajan and Semmel. This study involved material experts, media experts, subject teachers and students to get an assessment and response to the feasibility of the module. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the development process of the Fuel Injection Gasoline System module was based on the defining stage, the design stage or initial information collection, the development stage, and the dissemination stage. The results of the module feasibility level assessment carried out by material experts obtained a 76.25% feasibility level with the very feasible category. According to media experts, the feasibility of the module is 68.75% in the very feasible category. The assessment of the feasibility level by subject teachers is 75% in the very feasible category. The response from students at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta was 86.7% with a very decent category. The research shows that the module of the Fuel Injection Petrol System is suitable for use and the learning process at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce learning media for automotive basic work in a way that is easy to operate and suitable for use in teaching and learning activities. This type of research is Research and Development with media development procedures through 10 stages of Sugiyono's adaptation. The data collection technique in this study is a validation sheet. The data analysis technique used quantitative analysis. The results of the media expert's validation show that the flash-based automotive basic work learning media is feasible with an average percentage of 80.5% assessment, covering three aspects of assessment, namely: media display aspects, aspects of using images, sound and evaluation questions, and aspects of the navigation system. The results of the material expert's validation showed that the flash-based automotive basic work learning media was very feasible with an average percentage of 89.2% assessment which included three aspects of assessment, namely: aspects of material relevance, aspects of learning material content, and aspects of ease of multimedia operation. The results of the user assessment indicate that the flash-based automotive basic work learning media is very feasible, with a percentage of 84.5% in small group trials and 90.30% in large group trials covering 5 aspects, namely: aspects of material relevance, aspects contents of learning materials, aspects of ease of operation, aspects of navigation menus, and aspects of system display design
