Abstract

Ekosistem lamun tidak banyak dikenal luas masyarakat, padahal menyimpan banyak manfaat bagi kesejahteraan manusia, baik secara ekologi, sosial maupun ekonomi.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan analisis ekonomi keterkaitan ekosistem dan sumberdaya ikan.  Penelitian dilakukan di tiga desa (Berakit, Malang Rapat dan Teluk Bakau) yang berbatasan langsung dengan Kawasan Konservasi Padang Lamun Kabupaten Bintan.  Analisis ekonomi keterkaitan ekosistem lamun dan sumberdaya ikan dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan koefisien daya dukung lamun. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ekosistem lamun menyediakan layanan jasa habitat dan produksi ikan.  Setiap pertambahan luas satu satuan hektar ekosistem lamun dapat meningkatkan ketersediaan sumberdaya ikan sebanyak 9049,3 kg atau setara nilai habitat sebesar Rp. 166.963.204,72 per hektar per tahun.  Nilai ekonomi keterkaitan ekosistem lamun dan sumberdaya ikan mencapai sebesar Rp. 97.764.000 per hektar, artinya bahwa nilai kerugian ekonomi akibat kehilangan satu satuan hektar ekosistem lamun dalam kapasitasnya sebagai penyedia produksi ikan mencapai sebesar Rp. 97.764.000 per tahun.  Kedua nilai ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pertimbangan kebijakan dalam pengukuran potensi aset sumberdaya ikan dan pengukuran potensi kerugian habitat akibat kehilangan ekosistem lamun.

Abstract

Biofloc technology is an alternative in overcoming the problem of feed waste in hard-lipped barb culture media. The decline in hard-lipped barb production was caused by limited knowledge and traditional aquaculture. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of different feeding levels on the ratio of C/N 20 on the growth of hard-lipped barb (Osteochilus hasselti). This research was conducted in May 2021-June 2022 with a trial period of May-June 2021. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design with 3 treatments (feeding rate 1%, feeding rate 3%, feeding rate 5%) and 4 replications. Parameters observed included specific length growth rate (SLGR), specific weight growth rate (SWGR), feed efficiency (FE), and survival rate (SR). Water quality parameters (DO, temperature, Ammonia, CO2, and pH) were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the different levels of feeding with a C/N ratio of 20 had a significant effect on SLGR, SWGR, FE, and SR. SLGR in the treatment of FR 1% (0.17±0.03), FR 3% (0.28±0.03), and FR 5% (0.32±0.01). SWGR in treatment A (0.33±0.06), B(0.95±0.04), and C(1.53±0.11), FE at 1% FR treatment (16.85±1, 12%), FR 3% (25.04±0.73%), and FR 5% (30.95±1.87%). SR in the treatment of FR 1% (55.83%), FR 3% (59.16%), and FR 5% (68.33%). FR 5% treatment had the highest growth rate compared to FR 1% and FR 3% treatment. The water quality during the 40-day trial period was still within normal limits for Nilem fish cultivation in the biofloc system.

Abstract

Aquaponics is an integration between fish and plant cultivation that benefits these two sectors. The development of aquaponics at the farm level can be an effort to increase food security. This community service activity aims to apply aquaponic leaf vegetable cultivation techniques, to optimize the facilities available at Gapoktan Bina Sejahtera (fish ponds). Activities carried out by counseling methods, training and demolots to farmers regarding the cultivation techniques of leaf vegetables and red tilapia with an aquaponic system. During the activity, monitoring was also carried out by a team of service lecturers, assistance by student teams and evaluation through pretest and posttest. This community service activity is able to provide new experiences, and increase farmers' knowledge and skills in cultivating red tilapia and leaf vegetables with an aquaponic system.

Abstract

Coastal and marine areas hold great wealth for the welfare of coastal and small island communities with dynamic magnitudes. Panggang Island and Semak Daun Island have the potential for promising coastal and marine resource assets and provide benefits for community welfare. The research aims to compile a balance sheet of coastal and marine resource assets for Panggang Island and Semak Daun Island. The research was conducted in the Seribu Islands Administrative District, DKI Jakarta Province, in August-September 2023. It included various information data to map the value of ecosystem services and asset balances. The economic valuation method using the benefits transfer technique is used as input for the value of natural resource assets and the coastal and marine environment. The research results show that the value of coastal and marine resource assets of Panggang Island and Semak Daun Island have quite significant dynamics. In 2014-2019, the coastal and marine resource assets of Panggang Island and Semak Daun Island experienced a considerable decline, namely 1,001.92 billion ( Panggang Island ) and 59.97 billion ( Semak Daun Island ). They decreased respectively by 200.38 billion per year (12.34%) and decreased by 11.99 billion/year (9.29%). The estimation results show that there will be an improvement in asset value in 2022 for Panggang Island to 687.73 billion and for Semak Daun Island to 82.32 billion. The estimation results show that there has been an improvement in the ecosystem during the 2020-2022 period. This increase is due to reduced pressure on coastal and marine ecosystems on the two islands. Ecosystem-based integrated management needs to be carried out so that the sustainability and value of resource assets can benefit the welfare of coastal and small island communities.

Abstract

Ikan Platy (Xiphophorus maculatus) adalah salah satu ikan hias yang sangat digemari masyarakat karena memiliki warna yang indah sehingga memiliki nilai estetis dan ekonomis. Selain itu ikan ini memiliki ciri khas yang merupakan daya tarik tersendiri, sehingga di beberapa negara harganya cukup tinggi. Ikan platy (Xiphophorus maculatus) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan hias air tawar yang memiliki bentuk sirip dan warna yang bervariasi, serta berukuran antara 1-4,2 cm . Ikan ini berasal dari Amerika Tengah tepatnya di Varacruze, Meksiko sampai Belize, Guatemala. Salah satu keunikan ikan platy adalah dari segi reproduksi, yaitu ikan ini termasuk ke dalam livebearer atau kelompok ikan yang melahirkan “viviparous”Pengembangan budidaya ikan hias di Kabupaten Bogor masih terpusat di beberapa kecamatan, yaitu Kecamatan Ciampea, Ciseeng, Parung  yaitu dengan jumlah RTP di Kecamatan Ciampea sebanyak 151 RTP, 93 RTP di Kecamatan Ciseeng, 76 RTP di Kecamatan Parung. Adapun luasan lahan untuk budidaya ikan hias di Kecamatan Ciampea sebesar 9,24 Ha, 2,14 Ha di Kecamatan Ciseeng,   dan 5,81 Ha di Kecamatan Parung. Permasalahan utama dalam pengembangan budidaya ikan Plati di Desa Parakan adalah banyaknya ikan yang mati karena diserang beberapa mikroorganisme seperti virus, bakteri, jamur, parasit dan mikroorganisme lainnya. Selain itu kurangnya pengetahuan mitra tentang cara pencegahan dan penganggulangan penyakit yang menyerang ikan Platy. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan sebagai salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to transfer knowledge about the application and use of bioquaponic technology which is the integration of biofloc technology and hydroponic systems. The target of this community service activity is ornamental fish cultivators and the general public in Ciomas District, Bogor Regency. The activity was carried out in December 2021. The method of community service activities carried out was the lecture method, discussion and demonstration of direct practice in the field. The results of this community service activity in Ciomas Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, show that there is a transfer of knowledge regarding the integration of bioaquaponics, biofloc technology, hydroponic systems, fish disease management, business development and group dynamics as well as demonstrations of the application and use of bioaquaponics. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test conducted before and after community service, there was an increase in the capacity and capability of the representation of ornamental fish cultivators, which increased by 50 percent on average. The ornamental fish farming business actors who represent the cultivating community in this activity also get new networks to strengthen the collaboration of the ornamental fish cultivator community, business people and universities. Thus, the expected output of activities in community service in Ciomas District, Bogor Regency, namely (i) an increase in knowledge of ornamental fish farmers regarding the integration of aquaculture systems with biofloc technology and aquaponics systems, (ii) increasing the quality and quantity of ornamental fish production, and (iii) an increase in the network of ornamental fish cultivators in Ciomas District, Bogor Regency, can be achieved.

Abstract

This article aims to provide a new perspective and paradigm in sustainable fisheries management by introducing and integrating sharia principles and approaches into the fisheries bioeconomic model. The initial model is carried out by introducing ZIS parameters into the Gordon-Schaefer fisheries bioeconomic model. The amount of ZIS can provide encouragement to build and develop a sustainable sharia fisheries bioeconomic management model. Factors that influence the success of fishing gear (q) to be able to catch fish, the ability of the environmental carrying capacity (K) to be able to maintain fish reproduction and growth, and the ability of the fish themselves to grow and develop in achieving a certain biomass (r) are something that is essentially desired as a gift from the Almighty on the basis of the efforts of His servants to fulfil the ZIS command. In addition, the income of His servants (fishermen) which is influenced by the price (p) of fish and the efficiency of the cost per unit of catch (c) that must be spent to obtain fish is an inseparable part of the existence of income which is also a gift from Allah. The five parameters of the sharia bioeconomic of fisheries (r, q, K, p, c) which are influenced by the presence of the ZIS factor are the fortune and way of Allah SWT to bestow blessings, gifts, and welfare to His servants (fishermen) who have fulfilled ZIS. This sustainable sharia bioeconomic management model of fisheries is based on the paradigm and perspective of the community (fishermen) in carrying out fishing through the fulfilment of ZIS maximally and sustainably which is carried out by always hoping for the pleasure and blessings of Allah SWT, it is hoped that it can change the lives, lives and livelihoods of the fishing community.

Abstract

Feed is an essential element that supports cultured fish's growth and survival. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of differences in natural and artificial feeding on the growth and survival of dumbo catfish fry (Clarias gariepinus). The research was conducted from July to August 2022 with an experimental period of 40 days. The study used a completely randomized design with three treatments (artificial feeding, maggot feeding, and blood worm feeding) with four replications. The data analysis used was an analysis of variance (ANOVA), which was further tested using the least real difference (BNT). Test parameters include specific weight growth rate, specific length growth rate, absolute length, absolute weight, survival rate, and feed efficiency. The results showed that blood worm feeding significantly affected the parameters of specific weight growth rate, specific length growth rate, absolute length, and absolute weight (P < 0.05). The best growth was found in the bloodworm feeding treatment (specific weight growth rate 4.67 ± 0.31%/day, LPPS 1.88 ± 0.12%/day, absolute length 6.50 ± 0.49 cm, absolute weight 10.26 ± 1.29 g). Artificial and natural feed treatments did not significantly affect survival rate and feed efficiency.

Abstract

The challenge for ornamental fish farmers is to maintain the brightness of the color so that it remains charming and beautiful in the fish being cultivated. This study aims to determine the level of Colour brightness of guppies (Poecilia reticulata) by supplementation with different sources of natural beta-carotene. The research was conducted from May to June 2023. This study used a fully randomized design with four treatments and three replicates. Pellets were given as control, with treatments of pumpkin flour, carrot flour, and yellow sweet potato flour. Measurement of fish brightness level using M-TCF (Modifed-Toca Color Finder). The test fish were guppies from Fajar Aquatiq measuring 2.1-2.9 cm. The guppies were stocked at a density of 6 fish/aquarium and tested for 28 days. The observation of color quality showed that the P3 treatment with carrot flour of 10g/100g feed showed the highest color improvement of 26.57 ± 0.32. The best value of absolute weight growth in the treatment of three carrot flour was 0.12 ± 0.05g, and the lowest was in P1 with an average of 0.09 ± 0.03g. The best value of absolute length growth in P3 treatment was 0.80 ± 0.10 cm, while the lowest value was in P1 and P4 with 0.77 ± 0.06 cm. The highest survival value in the P2, P3, and P4 treatments was 100.00 ± 0.00%, while the lowest was in P1 94.33 ± 9.81%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengkaji sentimen isu-isu utama di setiap berita di internet terkait legalisasi penangkapan benih lobster oleh Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan. Berita Daring diperoleh menggunakan mesin pencari Google Indonesia dengan menggunakan kata kunci "Benih Lobster". Dalam penelitian ini dianalisis 20 berita terpopuler terkait dengan kata kunci tersebut. Semua berita tersebut kemudian di lakukan pengkodean untuk mencari sentimen dari setiap berita dan juga topik utama yang terdapat dalam berita tersebut menggunakan software NVivo versi 12. Hasil analisis sentimen menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sentiment positif sejumlah 13 koding yang berasal dari 11 artikel dan 10 sentimen negative yang berasal dari 8 artikel. Hasil analisis topik utama juga terbagi dalam 6 cluster besar yaitu Akibat Legalisasi Penangkapan Benih Lobster sebanyak 46 Koding, Fakta, mengenai benih lobster sebanyak 10 koding, fakta tentang permen KP no 12 tahun 2020 sebanyak 8 koding, Permasalahan Permen KP no 12 tahun 2020 sebanyak 17 koding , Tujuan Permen KP no 12 tahun 2020 sebanyak 15 koding dan Solusi pasca legalisasi sebanyak 3 koding. Mayoritas topik utama yang keluar dari internal Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan sebagian besar positif sedangkan sentiment negative berasal dari Menteri KKP sebelumnya dan juga dari organisasi keagamaan seperti PBNU dan Muhammadiyah. Analisis lebih lanjut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberitaan-pemberitaan negative yang ada di media cenderung berlawanan dengan hasil kajian-kajian yang dilakukan oleh para peniliti dari berbagai universitas di Indonesia, oleh karena itu dirasa perlu kementrian KKP dapat menggandeng stakeholder media untuk dapat menyampaikan fakta-fakta ilmiah terkait legalisasi benih lobster kepada masnyarakat.
