Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of soft skills on job readiness through internship experience as an intervening variable in Management Study Program students, batch 2021, Jambi University. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires to 142 respondents from various academic and professional backgrounds. Hypothesis testing utilizes descriptive analysis techniques with the support of SmartPLS software to examine the relationships between the identified variables. The findings of this study indicate that: (1) soft skills have a positive and significant influence on job readiness, (2) soft skills have a positive and significant influence on internship experience, (3) internship experience has a positive and significant influence on job readiness, (4) soft skills have a positive and significant influence on job readiness through internship experience as an intervening variable in Management Study Program students, batch 2021, Jambi University. These results emphasize the vital role of soft skills and internship experience in improving job preparedness.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the effect of compensation and work motivation on employee turnover rates, with a case study conducted at PT. B-One Mineral Jambi. The study focuses on three main variables: compensation, work motivation, and employee turnover. The population of this research consists of all employees of PT. B-One Mineral Jambi, totaling 80 respondents, who were selected using a census sampling technique so that the entire population was included as the research sample. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that had been tested for both validity and reliability to ensure the accuracy of the measurement instruments. The analytical methods used in this study included descriptive and quantitative approaches, processed with the help of the SPSS software for multiple regression analysis. The findings of this research show that compensation has a significant and positive effect on employee turnover, indicating that inadequate or unsatisfactory compensation can increase the likelihood of employees leaving the organization. Likewise, work motivation also has a significant positive effect on turnover rates, meaning that lower motivation levels tend to encourage employees to seek alternative employment. Therefore, improving compensation systems and fostering intrinsic motivation are crucial strategies to reduce turnover and maintain employee stability in the company.

Abstract

This service aims to increase the capacity of the village government in implementing smart governance with OpenSID while empowering the community as service users. This service employed the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The stages of activities carried out to achieve the goal were socialization of the urgency of SID in realizing Smart Village Governance. The activity was continued with training on the importance of SID for the Muaro Singoan Village Government. The team also provided assistance and training to the Village Government in managing the Village Information System through SID. Finally, socialization was carried out to the Muaro Singoan Village community regarding the understanding of the use of SID in serving the community. The service employed evaluation of attitude, knowledge, mentality, skills, partnership and follow-up that are conducted two weeks after the activity took place. This service resulted in changes in the knowledge, attitudes, mentality and skills of village communities and officials in organizing village governance with digital SID.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the gap between the support provided by the local government, which has provided the Village Information System (SID) facility to Muaro Pijoan Village, and the actual situation on the ground, which is not yet ready, both in terms of human resources, infrastructure, budget, and legal framework. As a result, the implementation of e-government in Muaro Pijoan Village has not been optimal, and public services are still largely performed manually. This research used a qualitative, descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The results indicate that the readiness of the Muaro Pijoan Village Government remains low. In terms of technology utilization, the SID website only functions as a one-way information delivery service and does not yet support interactive public services. This study aims to determine the readiness of the Muaro Pijoan Village Government for e-government implementation and identify factors influencing this readiness.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of understanding and analyzing the role of bureaucratic leadership and work discipline in improving the performance of employees at the Jambi Province Department of Industry and Trade. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires to 85 respondents who are civil servants at the Industry and Trade Office of Jambi Province, with sampling conducted using the census technique. The data analysis techniques in this study used Multiple Regression Test, t-test, F-test, and Coefficient of Determination (R2) using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 program. The results of this study indicate that, partially, the variable of bureaucratic leadership has a positive and significant effect on improving employee performance. Partially, work discipline also has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Collectively or simultaneously, bureaucratic leadership and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The better the bureaucratic leadership and the higher the work discipline of employees, the better the performance of the employees at the Jambi Provincial Department of Industry and Trade.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merup[akan hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat di desa Sumur Gedang terkait inovasi pengelolaan sampah yang modern. Pengelolaan sampah yang efektif menjadi semakin penting dalam menghadapi tantangan lingkungan global. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi konsep pengelolaan sampah berbasis inovasi dan modernisasi yang diterapkan dalam konteks masyarakat. Tinjauan ini mencakup pendekatan-pendekatan baru dalam pengelolaan limbah yang melibatkan teknologi, partisipasi masyarakat, dan kebijakan publik. Melalui pendekatan interdisipliner, artikel ini menyajikan beberapa studi kasus dari berbagai belahan dunia yang menunjukkan implementasi strategi inovatif dalam mengatasi masalah sampah. Dalam konteks ini, konsep-konsep seperti daur ulang, pengolahan limbah organik, dan kampanye sosial menjadi fokus utama dalam menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih berkelanjutan. Selain itu, artikel ini juga mengulas peran penting teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) dalam memfasilitasi pengelolaan sampah yang efisien dan transparan. Dengan demikian, artikel ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman lebih lanjut tentang bagaimana inovasi dan modernisasi dapat menjadi kunci dalam mencapai tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan sampah di masyarakat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya kepemimpinan visioner terhadap efektivitas tim kerja melalui komunikasi internal pada PT. Taspen (Persero) Kantor Cabang Jambi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner dengan skala likert terhadap 32 orang karyawan. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah menggunakan teknik Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan menggunakan SmartPLS 4, pengujian data yang digunakan meliputi uji model pengukuran (outer Model) dan uji model structural (inner model). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan visioner berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas tim kerja pada PT. Taspen (Persero) Kantor Cabang Jambi, komunikasi internal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas tim kerja pada PT. Taspen (Persero) Kantor Cabang Jambi, dan kepemimpinan visioner berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas tim kerja melalui komunikasi internal pada PT. Taspen (Persero) Kantor Cabang Jambi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, perusahaan perlu meningkatkan kepedulian terhadap karyawan dalam aspek kepemimpinan, mengoptimalkan komunikasi internal, serta memperkuat efektivitas tim kerja agar visi perusahaan berjalan sesuai perencanaan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of bureaucratic leadership styles on job satisfaction through employee involvement as an intervening variable (A Study of the Industry and Trade Office of Jambi Province). This research uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires to 79 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. By using analysis techniques with SmartPLS version 4.0 and analyzing data using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) techniques. The results of this study indicate that bureaucratic leadership style has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction, Bureaucratic leadership style has a positive and significant influence on employee engagement, Employee involvement has a positive and significant impact on employee job satisfaction. Moreover, bureaucratic leadership style has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction through employee engagement as an intervening variable at the Industry and Trade Office of Jambi Province. Testing the mediation effect shows that employee engagement can mediate the relationship between bureaucratic leadership style and job satisfaction, which means the higher the employee's engagement in taking responsibility for their work, the better the impact of bureaucratic leadership style on job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the influence of the online attendance application (Sisensi) on employee productivity through employee discipline in the production division of Perumda Air Minum Tirta Mayang, Jambi City. The method used is quantitative analysis with a population of employees and a sample of 94 respondents. Data were collected using a Likert scale–based questionnaire, and the analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the aid of SmartPLS 4 software. The results of the study show that: (1) the online attendance application has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, (2) the online attendance application has a positive and significant effect on employee discipline, (3) employee discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, and (4) employee discipline is able to mediate the effect of the online attendance application on employee productivity. The recommendations derived from this study are as follows: For the employee productivity variable, it is suggested that the company provide relevant and continuous training, establish clear and easily understood Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and conduct regular mentoring and evaluations to increase the amount of work that employees can complete. For the online attendance application variable, the company is advised to enhance the practicality and ease of use of the application, enabling employees to better understand and utilize the system. For the employee discipline variable, the company should conduct regular socialization sessions regarding the proper use of facilities and resources according to established standards to prevent damage, excessive use, and misuse.

Abstract

Resam atau paku andam merupakan jenis paku yang biasa tumbuh pada tebing-tebing tepi jalan di pegunungan dan tumbuhnya menjalar. Siapa sangka tumbuhan resam yang dapat menggangu terhambatnya pertumbuhan tumbuhan lain kini bisa dimanfaatkan menjadi bahan baku dalam pembuatan kerajinan anyaman. Adapun tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Maro Sebo Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, Jambi ini tidak lain adalah melaksanakan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam aspek pemasara berbasis digital marketing syariah serta inovasi branding. Dari aspek digital marketing syariah dilaksanakan pendampingn dan membangun mindset mitra untuk menjadi pelaku bisnis harus mengikuti perkembangan teknologi serta strategi dalam meningkatkan penjualan yang sesuai dengan syariah Islam mengutamakan nilai-nilai akhlak dan etika moral. Dari aspek branding, tim mencoba dalam memperkuat branding produk anyaman resam dengan melakukan inovasi agar mendapatkan nilai tambah dari produk dan bisa menembus pasar tidak hanya dikenal di Desa saja, tetapi sudah bisa di kenal oleh masyarakat di luar Desa Maro Sebo Kabupten Muaro Jambi, Jambi.
