Abstract

According to the WHO, Indonesia reports an average of 900,000 typhoid fever cases annually, with over 20,000 deaths. In West Sumatra, cases can reach 46,142 or 1.52%. At Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang Hospital, 795 cases and 5 deaths were recorded in 2024. This case study aims to provide nursing care for typhoid fever patients, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. The study was conducted in the Agus Salim Inpatient Room from February 17–21, 2025, with one patient, Mrs. P. Data were collected through observation, interviews, physical exams, and documentation. Nursing problems identified were hyperthermia, sleep disturbances, risk of infection, and risk of nutritional deficit. Interventions included hyperthermia management, sleep support, infection prevention, and nutrition management. After 5 days of care, all problems were resolved. Typhoid fever, caused by Salmonella typhi, spreads through contaminated food and water. It is recommended that patients and families increase awareness about the causes and prevention of typhoid fever.

Abstract

: Disaster is an event or series of events that threatens and disrupts people's lives and livelihoods caused both by natural factors and/or non-natural factors as well as human factors resulting in human casualties, environmental damage, loss of property and psychological impacts (Law No. 24 , 2007). The psychological impact is affected by the occurrence of disasters in various regions in Indonesia, ranging from natural, artificial, to social disasters which claim many victims. The victims of the disaster needed help, and not only physical medical assistance but also mental health support. So that this will cause material losses, the victims of natural disasters will also be overcome by deep sadness due to the loss of family or relatives, shock, to trauma which can lead to mental disorders. Efforts made to deal with post-disaster trauma are physical treatment and support in the form of mentoring from community. A week to four weeks later, Community need to carry out environmental monitoring and evaluation and other threats. Based on the above problems, it is necessary to have community service to be able to cooperate between various parties in preparing for the mental health treatment of disaster victims. The purpose of the service is for community to understand the handling of mental health for disaster victims. The service will be held in May 2023. The service participants are the community. The results of the dedication showed that more than 80% of the participants were able to know how to deal with the mental health of disaster victims..

Abstract

Risky sexual behavior among adolescents is a very complex problem, especially for unmarried adolescents, so it worries parents, educators, the government and other experts and becomes the world's spotlight. Stepping on the teenage years, the desire for teenage lust begins to develop, for that teenagers must learn to adapt to all the rules of culture, mores that exist in society. On this occasion, activities the service in 2022 is carried ut at one of the State Aliyah Madrasah schools Pariaman City. This time the dedication activity raised the theme of Education for teenagers. They are given education to be able to increase their knowledge regarding risky sexual behavior in order to avoid disgraceful actions that destroy their future because this is the teenage period, a period that is very vulnerable and easily fall into due to their lack of knowledge

Abstract

The rapid development of food and beverage products encourages adolescents to choose low-nutrient foods, thus increasing the risk of nutritional imbalance and stunting. Lubuk Alung still has a stunting incidence of 2.4%. MAN 1 Padang Pariaman, one of the schools located in Lubuk Alung District. The purpose of the community service is to improve adolescents' knowledge and skills in preventing stunting. The service method is through education and demonstration of nutritional actions. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge regarding balanced nutrition and stunting prevention, as well as their ability to practically prepare healthy menus. This activity emphasizes the important role of schools in supporting stunting prevention efforts and fostering healthy lifestyle behaviors among adolescents, as part of the Zero Stunting program target
