Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-disclosure on marital satisfaction in married early adult women in Karawang Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a causal research design and a sample of 204 married early adult women respondents. The sampling method used was non-probability sampling with convenience sampling techniques, this research instrument used a Likert scale, namely the Marital Self-Disclosure Questionnaire (MSDQ) self-disclosure scale and the ENRICH Marital Satisfaction (EMS) marital satisfaction scale. The data analysis technique in this study was simple regression analysis. The results showed a significance value of self-disclosure of 0.000 <0.05, so Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected, meaning there was an effect of self-disclosure on marital satisfaction in married early adult women in Karawang Regency. The results of the determination coefficient test showed an R square value of 0.479, so the magnitude of the effect of self-disclosure on marital satisfaction in married early adult women was 47.9%, while the remaining 52.1% was influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterbukaan diri terhadap kepuasan pernikahan pada wanita dewasa awal yang telah menikah di Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian kausal dan sampel sebanyak 204 responden wanita dewasa awal yang telah menikah. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling dengan teknik sampel convenience, instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan skala likert yaitu skala keterbukaan diri Marital Self Disclosure Questionnaire (MSDQ) serta skala kepuasan pernikahan ENRICH Marital Satisfaction (EMS). Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai signifikansi dari keterbukaan diri bernilai 0,000 < 0,05 , maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, artinya ada pengaruh keterbukaan diri terhadap kepuasan pernikahan pada wanita dewasa awal yang telah menikah di Kabupaten Karawang. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi dapat diketahui nilai R square sebesar 0,479 maka besaran pengaruh keterbukaan diri terhadap kepuasan pernikahan pada wanita dewasa awal yang telah menikah sebesar 47,9%, sedangkan sisanya 52,1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly influenced social interaction patterns, particularly among Generation Z, who are characterized as digital natives. One emerging behavioral phenomenon is phubbing, defined as ignoring others during face-to-face interactions due to excessive smartphone use. This study aimed to analyze the influence of leisure boredom and social media addiction on phubbing behavior among Generation Z in Karawang. Leisure boredom refers to a subjective experience arising from a mismatch between available leisure time and the need for meaningful and satisfying activities, while social media addiction denotes excessive and compulsive use of social media that disrupts emotional and social functioning. A quantitative approach with a causal associative design was employed in this study. The participants consisted of 377 Generation Z individuals residing in Karawang, selected using convenience sampling techniques. Data were collected using adapted versions of the Leisure Boredom Scale (LBS), the Social Media Disorder Scale (SMD), and the Generic Scale of Phubbing (GSP). Multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the effects of the independent variables on phubbing behavior. The results indicated that leisure boredom and social media addiction had a positive and significant influence on phubbing behavior among Generation Z in Karawang, both simultaneously and partially. The model explained 66.7% of the variance in phubbing behavior, suggesting a substantial effect of these psychological factors. These findings imply that individuals who experience higher levels of boredom during leisure time and stronger dependence on social media are more likely to engage in phubbing behavior. This study highlights the importance of managing leisure activities and regulating social media use to reduce maladaptive social behaviors among Generation Z. The results provide practical implications for preventive interventions, psychoeducation, and guidance programs aimed at promoting healthier digital habits and improving the quality of face-to-face social interactions.

Abstract

University students are faced with various academic, social, and psychological challenges that require resilience and strong perseverance as essential factors to complete their education and achieve academic success. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and social support on grit among students at Buana Perjuangan University Karawang. The high rate of students failing to graduate on time and their low enthusiasm in facing academic challenges are important issues that need to be examined. This study uses a quantitative method with a causal design. Data were collected from 386 students at Buana Perjuangan University Karawang who were selected using convenience sampling. The instruments used were the Short Grit Scale (Grit-S) to measure grit, the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) to measure self-efficacy, and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) to measure social support. Data analysis was performed using multiple regression with SPSS 26.0 software. The results showed that both self-efficacy and social support had a significant partial and simultaneous effect on student grit. These findings supported the research hypothesis and were supported by an R Square value of 0.414, indicating that 41.4% of the variation in grit could be explained by self-efficacy and social support simultaneously, while the remaining 58.6% was influenced by other factors. These findings reinforce the idea that interventions focused on strengthening self-confidence and providing external social support will be effective in increasing students' grit.

Abstract

Education is an important component in human life. Formal and informal education are two sociological models of the education system that help in controlling the learning process, especially in higher education. Currently, the surrounding environment which requires a person to study while working can influence the development of academic procrastination which has an impact on psychological elements such as self-efficacy. The aim of this research is to determine the influence between academic procrastination and self-efficacy in psychology study program students at Buana Perjuangan University, Karawang. The methodology used is quantitative, while the sampling technique uses non-probability sampling with a quota sampling technique. Using a 5% error rate in the Isaac Michael methodology, a total of 235 individuals were obtained. The results of hypothesis testing show that there is an influence between academic procrastination and self-efficacy of 10%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsep diri terhadap pembelian impulsif pada penggemar NCT di Karawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain asosiatif kausal, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan snowball sampling. Populasi penelitian ini adalah penggemar NCT yang berdomisili di Karawang. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini menggunakan Personal Self Concept (PSC) terdiri dari 18 aitem dan Impulsive Buying Tendency Scale (IBTS) terdiri dari 20 aitem. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh konsep diri terhadap pembelian impulsif pada penggemar NCT di Karawang sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, hal ini berarti semakin tinggi konsep diri individu, semakin tinggi pula kecenderungan individu untuk melakukan pembelian impulsif. Nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.316 yang berarti konsep diri berkontribusi sebesar 31,6% terhadap pembelian impulsif pada penggemar NCT di Karawang, sementara 69,4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar dari penelitian ini. Temuan ini menghadirkan kebaharuan karena berbeda dengan penelitian sebelumnya, di mana hasil temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif konsep diri terhadap pembelian impulsif pada penggemar NCT di Karawang.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh suasana hati dan FoMO terhadap pembelian impulsif pada remaja pengguna aplikasi online shop di Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian asosiatif kausalitas dengan sampel sebanyak 208 orang remaja berusia 12-22 tahun. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling dengan teknik convenience sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan alat ukur Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOS), dan Impulsive Buying Tendency Scale (IBTS). Hasil uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa suasana hati dan FoMO terhadap pembelian impulsif memiliki pengaruh sebesar 39,3%. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa suasana hati dan FoMO secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap pembelian impulsif, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.000, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Hal ini menjadi kontribusi baru karena penelitian sebelumnya umumnya hanya meneliti variabel suasana hati dan FoMO secara terpisah, sementara penelitian ini menguji keduanya secara bersamaan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of self-control and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) on impulsive buying among university students in Karawang. The research employed a quantitative approach with a causal design and involved 206 students aged 18–25, selected through purposive sampling. Instruments used included impulsive buying scales, Brief self-control scales and e-WOM scales. analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that self-control had a significant negative effect, while e-WOM had a significant positive effect on impulsive buying (p < 0.05). Although most respondents had high self-control (46.1%), many still exhibited high levels of impulsive buying (34.5%). This indicates that self-control does not always effectively suppress the influence of e-WOM. The novelty of this study lies in identifying the mismatch between high self-control and impulsive behavior. The findings imply the need for digital education and stronger self-regulation in online shopping environments, especially among students exposed to e-WOM and impulsive buying tendencies.

Abstract

: This study aims to explore parental involvement in supporting early childhood learning processes, focusing on forms of involvement, influencing factors, and their impacts on children’s development. The background of this research is based on the importance of education during the golden age (0–6 years) in shaping the foundation of children’s cognitive, socio-emotional, and moral development. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with 3 parents of kindergarten students in Klaten as research subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, analyzed using triangulation techniques to ensure validity. The findings reveal that parental involvement, such as assisting children in learning, providing emotional support, and maintaining consistency in learning methods at home, significantly impacts children’s academic abilities, social-emotional skills, and learning motivation. Major challenges identified include parents' busy schedules, lack of understanding of their roles, and the perception that education is solely the school’s responsibility. The study concludes that synergy between family and school is crucial to optimize early childhood development. This research offers practical recommendations to strengthen parental involvement through parenting training and collaborative programs with schools.

Abstract

Perkembangan pendidikan di Indonesia menunjukkan adanya tantangan serius terkait rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa, khususnya di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh self-efficacy dan dukungan sosial terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas X di SMK Bhinneka Karawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain eksplanasi. Populasi penelitian melibatkan seluruh siswa kelas X berjumlah 156 orang yang sekaligus dijadikan sampel penelitian. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari Academic Motivation Scale (AMS), General Self-efficacy Scale (GSES-12), dan Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-efficacy dan dukungan sosial berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas X di SMK Bhinneka Karawang. Secara simultan, kedua variabel memberikan kontribusi sebesar 37,7% terhadap motivasi belajar siswa.
