Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan kesejahteraan Kelompok Tani Adika melalui program PKM budidaya ayam Kampung. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di kelompok Tani Adika, Kefamenanu, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah participatory action research, kelompok tani dan Tim pelaksana bersama menentukan jenis kegiatan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan di lapangan berdasarkan urgensi dan prioritas. Solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan meliputi kegiatan persiapan, menetapkan prioritas kegiatan berdasarkan hasil analisis situasi awal dan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi aktual. Kegiatan selanjutnya yaitu penyuluhan, pelatihan/pendampingan sekaligus praktek pelaksanaan kegiatan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kelompok. Kegiatan meliputi pembuatan brooding, pembuatan ransum komplit, pemeliharaan fase starter dalam brooding, pemeliharaan fase grower dan pullet, pembuatan pupuk bokasi dengan memanfaatkan ekskreta ayam, penjualan ayam dan perhitungan ekonominya serta evaluasi kegiatan sesuai tahapan pelaksanaan. Hasil yang dicapai adalah ketrampilan kelompok tani meningkat dengan memanfaatkan teknik pemeliharaan brooding dan pemeliharaan fase pertumbuhan serta manajemen pemeliharaan lainnya seperti pencegahan penyakit dan vaksinasi dan pencampuran pakan. Dari kegiatan ini, kelompok mitra dapat menambah jumlah induk ayam yang terseleksi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut. Pendapatan kelompok mitra juga meningkat sehingga berdampak pada kesejahteraannya. Berdasarkan analisis keuntungan, kelompok mitra mendapatkan Rp. 3.568.000 dengan volume pemeliharaan 100 ekor ayam kampung sejak DOC sampai umur 4-5 bulan.

Abstract

Wilayah Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) didominasi lahan kering​ namun terbatas untuk pertanian, sehingga diperlukan penerapan vertikultur sistem fertigasi untuk mengatasi masalah di lahan kering dengan mengkaji formulasi media tanam dan kosentrasi pupuk serta pengaturan interval baris tanam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pupuk N dengan media dan baris tanam yang optimal terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman pakcoy dalam budidaya vertikultur sistem fertigasi di lahan kering. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Petak Terbagi dua faktor, yaitu pupuk dengan media dan baris tanam. Pupuk dengan media terbagi atas: kombinasi tanah 50% : biochar + kompos 50% dengan urea 0,75 g/L + POC 30 mL/L + BPN 7,5 mL/L; kombinasi tanah 50% : biochar + kompos 50% dengan urea 0,5 g/L + POC 20 mL/L + BPN 5 mL/L; kombinasi tanah 25% : biochar + kompos 75% dengan urea 0,75 g/L + POC 30 mL/L + BPN 7,5 mL/L; dan kombinasi tanah 25% : biochar + kompos 75% dengan urea 0,5 g/L + POC 20 mL/L + BPN 5 mL/L, Baris tanam terbagi atas: baris tanam pertama, kedua, dan ketiga, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi media tanam tanah 25% : biochar+kompos 75% dengan pupuk urea 0,75 g/L + POC 30 mL/L + BPN 7,5 mL/L dan baris tanam kedua mampu merupakan perlakuan yang optimal dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan pakcoy di lahan kering melalui budidaya vertikultur dengan sistem fertigasi. Penelitian ini menjadi informasi penting untuk pertanian dalam pengetahuan memilih konsentrasi pupuk dengan komposisi media dan penempatan baris tanam pada budidaya tanaman pakcoy sistem vertikultur di lahan kering.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of fertilizer and planting rows in vertical culture on the growth and yield of pak choi plants in vertical cultivation of fertigation systems in dry land. This study used a 2-factor Split Plot Design. Fertilizer concentration as the main plot consisting of: urea 1 g/L + POC 40 mL/L + BPN 10 mL/L; urea 0.75 g/L + POC 30 mL/L + BPN 7.5 mL/L; urea 0.5 g/L + POC 20 mL/L + BPN 5 mL/L; and urea 0.25 g/L + POC 10 mL/L + BPN 2.5 mL/L planting row intervals as sub-plots consisting of: first planting row, second planting row, and third planting row. There were 12 treatment combinations that were repeated 3 times, so that 36 total treatments were obtained. This study has shown that the treatment of urea fertilizer 0.75 g/L + POC 30 mL/L + BPN 7.5 mL/L in the second planting row is able to increase the growth and yield of pak choi plants in dry land through the application of vertical cultivation system with fertigation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the production of bok choy in dry land due to differences in N fertilizer with planting media and row intervals through vertical fertigation cultivation. This study used a Split Plot Design with two factors, namely fertilizer with media and planting rows. The main plot was a combination of fertilizer and media consisting of: urea 1 g/L + POC 40 mL/L + BPN 10 mL/L with a planting medium of 50% soil: biochar - compost 50%; urea 0.5 g/L + POC 20 mL/L + BPN 5 mL/L with a planting medium of 50% soil: biochar - compost 50%; urea 1 g/L + POC 40 mL/L + BPN 10 mL/L with a planting medium of 25% soil: biochar - compost 75%; Urea 0.5 g/L + 20 mL/L Organic Fertilizer (POC) + 5 mL/L Organic Plant Growth Regulator (BPN) with a growing medium of 25% soil: biochar - 75% compost. The planting rows consisted of the first planting row, the second planting row, and the third planting row. The results showed that different N fertilizers, planting medium, and row intervals increased bok choy production in dryland, with the best results being achieved with urea 1 g/L + 40 mL/L Organic Fertilizer (POC) + 10 mL/L Organic Plant Growth Regulator (BPN) and 25% soil + 75% biochar - compost in the third row.

Abstract

Peralihan penggunaan pupuk anorganik ke organik yang ramah lingkungan terus diupayakan dengan pengoptimalan potensi petani di Kelompok Tani Rajawali, Desa Halibasar Kabupaten Malaka. Peralihan diupayakan dengan memanfaatkan limbah organik pertanian/peternakan di sekitar lingkungan pertanian untuk pembuatan pupuk kompos-biochar. Selama ini, penggunaan pupuk organik yang minim dikarenakan kurangnya sosialisasi dan rendahnya pengetahuan petani mengenai bahaya jangka panjang penggunaan pupuk anorganik. Permasalahan tersebut menjadi dasar untuk melakukan kegiatan pengabdian ini. Pengabdian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni – Juli 2022, metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah participatory action research yang mana seluruh anggota kelompok tani dan tim pengabdi terlibat langsung dalam setiap tahapan. Hasil pengabdian diperoleh bahwa anggota kelompok tani telah memahami dengan baik dampak jangka panjang perbandingan penggunaan pupuk anorganik dan organik, sehingga peralihan penggunaan pupuk organik siap diaplikasikan secara bertahap selain itu, anggota kelompok tani telah menguasai tahapan-tahapan pembuatan pupuk kompos-biochar yang dapat dilakukan secara mandiri. Penggunaan pupuk organik menjadi pendekatan yang berkelanjutan dalam meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian berbasis ramah lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan limbah pertanian/peternakan di lingkungan Halibasar.

Abstract

This study was to determine the effect of N fertilizer and row planting intervals on the growth and yield of pak choi plants in vertical cultivation with fertigation in dry land. This research method used an experimental Split Plot Design (RPT) consisting of 2 factors, namely the main plot and sub-plot. The main plot consists of: Urea 0.75 g / L + POC 30 mL / L + BPN 7.5 mL / L, Urea 0.5 g / L + POC 20 mL / L + BPN 5 mL / L and Urea 0.25 g / L + POC 10 mL / L + BPN 2.5 mL / L. The sub-plot consists of: the first row, the second row and the third row. So that a combination of treatments of 9 treatments was obtained which was repeated 3 times so that a total of 27 treatment combinations were obtained. The results of the study showed that urea 0.75 g/L + POC 30 mL/L + BPN 7.5 mL/L in the second planting row was able to increase the growth and yield of pak choi plants in vertical cultivation systems with fertigation on dry land.Keywords: row planting, liquid organic fertilizer, nitrogen fixing bacteria, pakcoy

Abstract

This community service aims to increase the innovation of farmer groups in implementing vegetable cultivation technology in dry land through organic fertilizer and verticulture with a wick fertigation system. The method applied in this service uses counseling and training (learning by doing). The implementation was carried out on the agricultural land of the Nunuh Naek and Taruna Tani Farmer Group in October – December 2023. This activity involved the Napan Village Government and the North Bikomi District Agricultural Extension Officer to support the partner team together with the Implementing Team (University of Timor) and the Accompanying Team (Widya Catholic University Mandala Surabaya) to develop regional development programs in accordance with the relationship between Kosabangsa and RPJMD activities. The results of the service concluded that there was an increase in the ability of farmer groups to independently design verticulture with a wick fertigation system as an innovation in cultivating vegetables on dry land; able to apply Ribon Atom I as a soil amendment as well as adding nutrients to plants; and increasing the ability of partners in agribusiness management of horticultural farming.

Abstract

Manganese is a micro nutrient that plants need in small quantities. Manganese plays an important role as an enzyme activator, including phosphate transfer enzymes and enzymes in the Krebs cycle. The aim of this research was to study the chemical and physical properties of the soil on ex-manganese excavated land in Oelami Village, TTU Regency. This research was carried out in June-September 2022. Analysis of the chemical and physical characteristics of the soil was carried out in the laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Timor, and the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Nusa Cendana University. This study used a descriptive experimental method which was carried out by survey and continued with laboratory analysis. Soil samples were taken at 5 points based on land use. Based on the results of the analysis of the chemical and physical properties of soil from ex-manganese excavated land, pH was 6.321 (slightly sour), CEC 33.46 me/100g (high), C-organic 0.22% (low), N-total 0.22% (low ), P-total 61.44 mg/100g (high), K-total 71.189 mg/100g (high), Mn-total 19,089 ppm (high), organic matter 0.81% (low), sandy loam soil texture ( sand 81.33%, dust 10.67%, and clay 8.00%), soil water content 8.611% (medium), soil density 1.25 g/cm3 (medium), soil specific gravity 1.47 g/ cm3 (low), and porosity 14.961% (high)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of N fertilizer and ameliorant types on the growth, yield, and nitrogen absorption of pak choy (Brassica rapa L.) plants through wick fertigation systems in vertical cultivation in dry land. The research method used a split-plot design. The main plot is N fertilizer consisting of BPN + Urea, BPN + POC, and BPN + Urea + POC. The subplots are ameliorant types consisting of soil, soil: biochar (1:1), and soil: compost (1:1), which were repeated 3 times so that 27 total experimental combinations were obtained. The results showed that there was an interaction between N fertilizer and ameliorant types that could increase the growth and production of pak choy plants, where the interaction of BPN + Urea + POC treatment with ameliorant types of soil: biochar (1:1) gave the best results in observing the stem diameter and root length of pak choy plants. N fertilizer was able to increase the growth and production of pak choy plants, where BPN + POC gave the best results in observing the dry weight of the crown and N absorption of pak choy plants. The type of ameliorant is able to increase the growth and production of pak choi plants where the soil:compost (1:1) treatment gives the best results in observing plant height and the number of pak choi leaves.

Abstract

Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) is a green vegetable plant that is in great demand by people from children to adults, because it has very high nutritional value. Cultivation of pak choy plants on dry land with a dry climate requires the adoption of technology such as wick fertigation in verticulture. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of providing nitrogen fertilizer sources and types of ameliorant on the growth and yield as well as nitrogen uptake of pak choy (Brassicca rapa L.) plants. This research method uses a split plot design (RPT) with 2 factors consisting of a main plot and a subplot. The main plot is N fertilizer consisting of urea, POC, and urea + POC. Subplots are ameliorants consisting of soil, soil: biochar (1:1), soil: compost (1:1) and soil: biochar: compost (1:1:1). Thus, 12 treatment combinations were obtained which were repeated 3 times, resulting in a total of 36 experimental combinations. The research results showed that the interaction of the N fertilizer source and the type of ameliorant had a real influence on the observation of stem diameter and root length with the best treatment of urea+POC with the type of soil ameliorant: biocar: compost (1:1:1). The source of N fertilizer has a significant effect on shoot dry weight, harvest index and N uptake, where the best treatment is urea+POC fertilizer. The type of ameliorant had a significant effect on the number of leaves at 28 DAT and N content where the best treatment was soil: biochar: compost (1:1:1) showing the highest results when observing the number of leaves at 28 DAP and N content. Treatment of the type of soil ameliorant: biochar: compost (1:1:1) shows the best results.
