Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di SDN 1 Menteng, Kota Palangkaraya, dengan tujuan untuk memperkenalkan seni rupa, khususnya batik, kepada siswa sekolah dasar melalui metode yang sederhana, aman, dan menyenangkan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan praktik membuat karya batik menggunakan media kertas bermotif batik yang kemudian diwarnai dengan cairan alami berbahan dasar kunyit dan campuran larutan deterjen. Penggunaan kunyit sebagai pewarna alami dipilih karena mudah didapat, tidak berbahaya, dan memberikan pengalaman baru bagi siswa dalam mengenal potensi bahan alami di lingkungan sekitar. Deterjen berfungsi sebagai pengikat warna dan membantu proses penyerapan warna pada kertas. Metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan bersifat partisipatif dan kreatif, di mana siswa secara langsung terlibat dalam proses menggambar motif, pewarnaan, hingga pengeringan hasil karya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi dari siswa, peningkatan kreativitas, serta pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai seni batik dan pentingnya pelestarian budaya lokal. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga memberi inspirasi bagi guru untuk mengembangkan metode pembelajaran seni yang kontekstual dan inovatif. Pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pembelajaran seni rupa yang aplikatif di tingkat pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

The limited use of interactive teaching materials and learning technologies in the science subject at MI Terpadu Berkah Palangka Raya has led to low student motivation and suboptimal learning outcomes, primarily due to the reliance on conventional methods and printed worksheets. This community service activity aims to address these challenges by developing and assisting in the use of interactive digital teaching materials based on Canva. The implementation method starts with needs mapping, mentoring on creating digital books, and finally implementing and evaluating the use of the media in grade IV classrooms. The results showed a significant improvement in student motivation and understanding of science materials, as indicated by an average field test score of 85.29% (very feasible category). Additionally, teachers provided positive feedback with an evaluation score of 72.05%. The activity positively impacted the digital learning process at MI Terpadu Berkah Palangka Raya and enhanced teachers’ capacity to develop independent technology-based teaching media.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to assist Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students in creating pencil holders using used bottles and straws. This is a project-based learning activity that instills values of creativity and environmental awareness. The activity is part of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes contextual learning and skills relevant to the modern era.By participating as facilitators, PGMI students gain firsthand experience in designing and implementing project-based learning. The activity includes providing materials, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and evaluation of results. The outcomes show an increase in students' creativity and awareness of the importance of transforming recycled materials into useful products for the environment. Moreover, this activity provides valuable experience for PGMI students, helping them learn to apply active and practical learning approaches.

Abstract

This research develops interactive multimedia-based learning media for multiplying fractions for grade 4 students at SDIT Al Ghazali Palangka Raya. The goal is to improve students' problem solving abilities. This research uses the ADDIE development model, and involves interviews with teachers to get input in the media development process. The research results show that the learning media developed is effective in improving the problem solving abilities of 4th grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh keterampilan membaca kelas rendah yang merupakan dasar untuk menguasai bahasa, dimana peserta didik tidak hanya mengucapkan simbol bahasa, tetapi juga harus dapat memahami isi dari bacaan. Rendahnya keterampilan membaca siswa menjadi fokus penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan penerapan model Coopertaive Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berbantuan media Puzzle suku kata keterampilan membaca siswa kelas 1 MIS Miftahul Huda 2 Palangka Raya, (2) Mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan membaca siswa kelas 1 setelah penerapan model Coopertaive Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berbantuan media Puzzle suku kata di MIS Miftahul Huda 2 Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis & McTaggart, meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 29 siswa kelas 1C, dengan data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, unjuk kerja, dan dokumentasi yang nantinya data dianlisis menggunakan teknik analisis kuantitatif deskriptif dan teknik analisis kualitatif model interaktif Miles&Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia menggunakan model CIRC berbantuan media puzzle suku kata pada siklus I, aktivitas guru dalam mengelola kelas memperoleh presentase 70,5% dengan kriteria cukup baik dan meningkat pada siklus II mencapai presentase sebesar 86% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Aktivitas siswa juga meningkat dari presentase 70% pada siklus I dengan kriteria cukup baik meningkat menjadi sebesar 86% pada siklus II dengan kriteria sangat baik. (2) Pada siklus I, 58,6% siswa mencapai nilai ≥65. Presentase ini meningkat menjadi 86,2% pada siklus II melampaui kriteria ketuntasan klasikal yakni ≥70%. Secara keseluruhan, keterampilan membaca siswa meningkat sebesar 27,6% setelah pelaksanaan dua siklus. Hasil N-Gain pada siklus I memperoleh nilai mean 0,2734 dengan kategori rendah. Pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 0,5796 dengan kategori sedang. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model CIRC berbantuan media puzzle suku kata terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa kelas I MI dengan peningkatan di kategori sedang.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students' Qur'an reading skills through the Tilawati method at SDIT Al Qonita. The community service method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the activity are students who are taking part in the Qur'an reading learning in volume 2 which is divided based on reading ability. The mentoring is carried out through classical learning, reading, explanation of tajweed, and strengthening the rhythm of reading. The results of the activity show that students are enthusiastic about participating in learning, actively imitating reading, and experiencing increased abilities even though they still have difficulties with certain letters. In addition, this mentoring also strengthens the capacity of teachers to continue the Tilawati practice continuously, so that the Tilawati method is proven effective in creating a pleasant learning atmosphere while getting students used to reading according to the rules of tajweed.

Abstract

Scouting extracurricular activities play a strategic role in shaping the character of elementary school students, particularly in instilling the values of discipline, solidarity, and cooperation, which are essential for children's personal and social development. This community service project aims to describe the process of mentoring the Marching Regulations (PBB) at SDIT Al-Qonita while identifying the impacts it has on strengthening students' character. The methods used in mentoring include lectures to convey basic concepts, demonstrations as examples of correct movements, repeated practice to train technical skills, joint reflection to evaluate experiences, and a comprehensive evaluation of the results of the activities. The mentoring process was carried out in three meetings over three weeks, with stages starting from an introduction to basic marching material, intensive group practice, and implementation of evaluations that emphasize technical and non-technical aspects. The results of the activity showed that students experienced an increase in technical skills in marching, such as movement accuracy and neatness of formation. Furthermore, this activity was proven to be able to strengthen discipline, solidarity, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to work together among students. Furthermore, the inclusion of educational games and icebreakers during training sessions has proven effective in maintaining motivation, reducing boredom, and creating a pleasant learning environment. Thus, the extracurricular Scouting activities, supported by the National Scout Movement (PBB), serve not only as a means of training marching skills but also as a means of ongoing character development. The results of this community service demonstrate that the PBB can be used as a relevant educational instrument to strengthen the character of elementary school students while simultaneously supporting the achievement of national education goals.

Abstract

This study focuses on the influence of interactive media based on the Nearpod application on student learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject of class XI at MA Darul Amin Palangka Raya, especially on the material of murder in Islamic law (jinayah). The approach used is quantitative with the type of Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design with a sample of 26 students. Data were obtained through multiple choice tests, observation, and documentation. The results of observations from the application of the Nearpod application media showed an increase from 84,8% in the first meeting (good category) to 97,8% in the second meeting (very good category), this increase reflects the increasing involvement and enthusiasm of students in participating in learning. The average student score also increased from 58,31 in the Pretest to 80,92 in the Posttest. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed that the data were normally distributed (significance of 0,090 in the Pretest and 0,059 in the Posttest > 0.05), while the paired sample t-test results obtained a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05, so that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the interactive media based on the Nearpod application has an influence on student learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject of class XI at MA Darul Amin Palangka Raya.

Abstract

Music arts education is an important part of the holistic development of learners, enabling learners to express themselves and develop musical as well as social skills. The purpose of this study is to explore the perspective of class V teachers on learning music with pianika at MIS Al-Jihad Palangka Raya City. Through a qualitative approach using interviews and observation, the study identified five main findings. Research results 1) The importance of music arts education in the holistic development of learners. 2) Improve students' technical skills in playing pianika. 3) Collaborative experience of learners through music art learning. 4) Benefits of playing pianika in the development of motor and musical skills of learners. 5) Challenges faced by learners in learning the art of music with pianika. This finding reflects the importance of learning music with pianika in developing students holistically, and students can develop creativity and express themselves through music. As a result, MIS Al-Jihad Palangka Raya City is expected to integrate this understanding in their learning approach, strengthening its commitment to overall student development.

Abstract

Education is the process of transferring knowledge, skills and values ​​to shape individual development, both formally in educational institutions and informally. The goal is to improve physical, intellectual, emotional and social abilities so that individuals can play an active role in society. This research aims to explore teaching experiences and approaches in developing students' creativity and artistic talents. The research method used is a case study through in-depth interviews and direct observation in class. The research results found that having various positive experiences in teaching fine arts in grade 1 has influenced his teaching approach. By implementing various effective strategies in overcoming teaching obstacles and adapting methods to student characteristics. The main activities implemented are drawing and coloring projects to stimulate student creativity and expression. One significant approach is to involve students' parents in developing their artistic talents. This research reveals that the approach is very useful in motivating students and creating a pleasant learning climate. This has a positive impact in improving the quality of fine arts learning in grade 1 SD/MI. It is hoped that this research can become a reference in enriching the art learning experience at the initial level of basic education.
