Abstract

Seafood is an excellent source of protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals (zinc, iron, selenium, magnesium, and iodine). But if seafood consumption becomes a habit and excessive will be not good for health because seafood contains high purines and fats and can increase cholesterol levels (Prayitno, 2014). This study aims to determine the relationship between seafood consumption and history of hypercholesterolemia in pre-elderly and elderly men. This research is an analytical descriptive with a correlational design and a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all the people of Laronanga Village who came for treatment at the Andowia Health Center who carried out laboratory examinations related to the examination of total cholesterol levels and had a history of hypercholesterolemia, male sex with pre-elderly age, as many as 40 people and a sample of 36 people who taken using purposive sampling, data obtained using a questionnaire and tested using the Chi Square test. The results showed that of the 36 respondents studied, respondents who were at risk of consuming seafood and did not have a history of hypercholesterolemia were 0 respondents (0%) and who had a history of hypercholesterolemia were 33 respondents (91.7%), while not at risk of consuming seafood and not having high cholesterol. history of hypercholesterolemia amounted to 2 respondents (5.6%) and those who were not at risk and had a history of hypercholesterolemia amounted to 1 respondent (33.3%). There is a relationship between the habit of consuming seafood with a history of hypercholesterolemia in pre-elderly men, with p value = 0.005 < a = 0.05

Abstract

Social facts on glue behavior in the Punk Community in Kendari City have been known, which generally abuse the Aibon type of glue. This study aims to analyze the behavior of Aibon inhaler abuse (ngelem) in the Punk Community in Kendari City and its impact on their nutritional status. This study uses a qualitative design with a case study approach. The informants taken are Punk children in Kendari City, who have been/still actively glue and smoke. The selection of informants was carried out using the Snowball Research Strategies method. Data in the form of information were collected through in-depth interviews with semi-structured and observational techniques. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction (emic), interpretation (ethics) and drawing conclusions from the essence of the interview. The results showed that inhaled abuse was more likely to occur in someone who made a living on their own. Adolescents who tend to be loyal to their associations feel comfortable socializing that is not obtained elsewhere and a high sense of solidarity with friends, so they fall into clingy behavior. Men with 10–18 years of age, on average, dropped out of school, and belonged to the lower middle economic class, who had a greater chance of abusing inhalers. The impact on the nutritional status of users is known that active abusers have a poor nutritional status associated with a significant reduction in body weight.

Abstract

Smoking is still one of the bad habits that are often done by Indonesians. This habit applies to almost all levels of society, both the lower and upper class economic communities. Similarly, smoking behavior in humans is the result of all kinds of experiences as well as, human interaction with the environment which is manifested in the form of knowledge, attitudes and actions. In addition, perception is a direct response (acceptance) of something. The process of a person knowing things through his five senses. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between perceptions of cigarette images and smoking behavior in adolescents. This research is a descriptive analytic study with a Cross Sectional Study approach. The population in this study were patients who smoked and did not smoke which were then selected to be a random sample, namely random sampling and met the specified sample criteria as many as 52 respondents. Collecting data by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The results of the study were processed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of < 0.05. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between perception and smoking behavior in adolescents in Tangguluri Village, Asera District, North Regency (p = 0.001). There is a need for a review by the government regarding more appropriate policies to create a better perception of the dangers of smoking

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Life Behavior (PHBS) is a health behavior carried out by individuals, families and communities in helping themselves in the health sector. This study aims to determine how the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) in the Tobimeita community, the working area of ​​the Abeli ​​Health Center. This type of research is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional approach, the sampling technique is random sampling (simple random), with a total sample of 80 respondents (Head of Family). The independent variables in this study were knowledge and attitudes, while the dependent variable was Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). Data were collected using a knowledge, attitude and Clean and Healthy Life Behavior (PHBS) questionnaire and then presented in a tabular table. Data analysis with Chi-Square statistical test with The results of the study on the knowledge variable obtained a value of 15,703 with a P value of 0.000 and the attitude variable obtained a value of 14.749 with a P value of 0.001. For this reason, the researcher suggests to the relevant agencies, especially the Tobimeita Sub-district office and the Abeli ​​Health Center so that the results of this study can be used as input for the development of services, especially community nursing services and can be used as reading material to broaden students' horizons and can be used as a reference for educational institutions and students who want to study this further
