Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang persepsi masyarakat terhadap ritual kaago-ago. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ritual kaago-ago di Desa Oelongko Kecamatan Bone Kabupaten Muna telah dilakukan oleh masyarakat Muna bahkan jauh sebelum Islam masuk di Pulau Muna khususnya pada masyarakat yang tinggal dan berdiam di Desa Oelongko. Upacara kaago-ago sendiri dilakukan dengan maksud mendapatkan keselamatan dalam kegiatan pertanian, terhindar dari marabahaya serta hasil panen yang melimpah. Dalam praktiknya ritual kaago-ago memiliki beberapa fungsi yaitu fungsirelijius dan fungsi sosial. Dalam ritual kaago-ago terkandung didalamnya rasa kebersamaan, rasa kesatuan, rasa simpati dan rasa berbagi antar sesame keluarga dan saudara-saudara beserta seluruh masyarakat Oelongko. Pada pelaksanaan ritual kaago-ago solidaritas masyarakat sangat menonjol dapat dilihat dari masyarakat yang hadir dalam ritual kaago-ago mereka tidak melihat dari status sosial semuanya berhak untuk mengikuti upacara tersebut, dan dapat dilihat pula dalam proses menanam di lahan pertanian masyarakat berbondong-bondong untuk ikut menanam hingga selesai.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of self-efficacy on theinterest in continuing education to college in class XII students atSMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. Self-efficacy, as an individual's belief intheir ability to undergo academic tasks, is expected to influencestudents' decisions to continue their education. The research methodused was quantitative with descriptive design, involving 94respondents selected through random sampling technique. Datawere collected using a questionnaire that measured the level of Self-efficacy and interest in continuing education. Based on the results ofthe calculation, the average Self-efficacy of students is in the highcategory with a percentage of 78.82%. Meanwhile, interest incontinuing education to college is also high, reaching 81.46%.Simple linear regression test indicates that there is a significantinfluence between Self-efficacy and interest in continuing education,with a significance value of 0.001. This finding confirms thatstrengthening self-efficacy can be an important strategy inincreasing students' interest in continuing their studies to a higherlevel.

Abstract

Teacher performance assessment is important in educational human resource management. However, the implementation of performance assessment in Islamic educational institutions is still administrative and not integrated with Islamic spiritual values and work morality. The purpose of this article is to analyze the transformation of the teacher performance assessment system based on Islamic management principles, such as amanah, justice, ihsan, and accountability. This study uses a qualitative approach based on literature studies. The data sources used are primary data, namely books on performance management theory and articles related to Islamic educational management and teacher performance assessment. Secondary data are in the form of articles on Islamic ethics. The results of the analysis show that the Islamic performance assessment system applies a balance between worldly and hereafter aspects with indicators that include the dimensions of intention, process, and work results. The transformation of the performance assessment system needs to be integrated with the values of tauhid, amanah, and maslahah in the assessment instruments or procedures. Thus, teacher performance assessment is not just an administrative evaluation tool, but also a way of moral development, increasing professionalism, and strengthening spirituality in Islamic educational management.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop the language intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in the Pembina Kindergarten of Sungai Paduan Village, Teluk Batang District, North Kayong Regency. Based on the above background, the researcher is interested in conducting a class actionresearch with the title ‘Implementation of AudioVisual Learning Media to Develop the Language Intelligence of 5-6 YearOld Children at Kindergarten Pembina Sungai paduan Village’ which was conducted on 27 May 2024 to 15 July 2024. This class action research was motivated by the following: (1) The application of audio-visual learning media has a significant effect on the development of children's language intelligence at the Pembina Kindergarten. (2) The results of observations and analysis of existing data, it can be seen that there is a development of the ability to apply audio-visual media to develop language intelligence. (3) The development of language intelligence can be improved by using audio visual media in group B kindergarten, and can also be used as a reference for further research.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and gain an in-depth understanding of the teacher's role in the education of hyperactive children at TK Negeri Pembina Pontianak Timur. The approach used is qualitative with a phenomenological method, focusing on exploring the teacher's subjective experiences in handling hyperactive children within the school environment. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with classroom teachers who have experience teaching hyperactive children. The data were analyzed using Colaizzi's method, which includes seven stages of qualitative data analysis. The findings reveal that the teacher's role is not limited to delivering instructional material, but also includes being a facilitator, motivator, and emotional companion for hyperactive children. Teachers strive to adapt their teaching strategies to the children's characteristics, build intensive communication with parents, and create a conducive learning environment. Challenges faced include limited knowledge about children with special needs and a lack of support from school facilities. This study is expected to serve as a consideration for teachers, parents, and educational institutions in developing more effective approaches to educate hyperactive children from an early age.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media, particularly Instagram, has transformed patterns of adolescent social interaction and self-presentation, raising concerns about its psychological implications, including the emergence of narcissistic behavior. This study aims to examine the effect of Instagram usage on narcissistic behavior among tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Sintang. Employing a quantitative, descriptive-analytic design, data were collected from 251 students using validated self-report questionnaires that measured Instagram usage intensity and narcissistic behavior. Descriptive statistics and simple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results indicate that Instagram usage among students is relatively high and that narcissistic behavior is prevalent at a high level. Regression analysis reveals that Instagram usage has a significant positive effect on narcissistic behavior, with a strong correlation and a substantial proportion of variance explained. These findings suggest that increased engagement with Instagram’s visual and feedback-driven features contributes meaningfully to the development of narcissistic tendencies during adolescence. The study extends the existing literature by providing empirical evidence from a non-metropolitan secondary school context in Indonesia, which has been underrepresented in prior research. The findings imply that educators, school counselors, and policymakers should prioritize digital literacy education and psychosocial interventions to promote responsible social media use and mitigate potential negative impacts on adolescent personality development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of sociodrama techniques in group counseling to improve interpersonal communication among students at Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Junior High School in Kubu Raya. This study uses a quantitative pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of eight students with very low interpersonal communication skills were sampled in this study. The instrument used in this study was an interpersonal communication questionnaire. The results showed that the average questionnaire score of students before receiving the service was in the very low category with an average percentage of 64%, and after receiving the service, it became 78%, which was in the very high category. From the hypothesis testing results using a paired sample t-test assisted by the SPSS for Windows ver.27 program, a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000<0.05 was obtained. Therefore, h0 was rejected and ha was accepted, which means that there was an increase in interpersonal communication skills among students before and after the service was provided. It can be concluded that group counseling services using the sociodrama technique are effective in improving the interpersonal communication of students at SMP Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Kubu Raya.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of principal supervision in improving teacher self-renewal capacity at SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through conversations, observations, and document analysis involving the principal and teachers. The results showed that the supervision positively contributed to enhancing teacher motivation, creativity, and professionalism through continuous guidance, feedback, and training. Supporting factors included the principal’s commitment and facility support, while obstacles involved limited time and teacher motivation. In conclusion, principal supervision effectively improves teacher self-renewal capacity, which positively impacts the quality of learning and education.

Abstract

The presence of homosexual students presents unique challenges in school guidance and counseling services. This study aims to describe the characteristics, causal factors, behavioral impacts, and the role of guidance and counseling teachers in assisting homosexual students at a senior high school in Pontianak City. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method, the research involved two homosexual students and four additional participants (BK teacher, homeroom teacher, and peers). Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Findings show that the subjects displayed gender non-conforming behaviors, identity conflicts, and selective social interactions. The causes were mainly psychological and social such as absence of a father figure, childhood trauma, and media influence. The impacts included psychological stress and limited interaction, though academic performance remained stable. BK teachers played a key role through individual counseling and by fostering an inclusive school environment.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine: The Influence of Busy Book Media on Number Concept Recognition Ability in 5-6 Year Old Children at TK Islamiyah Pontianak Tenggara. The technique used in this research was a quantitative approach with an experimental research method, specifically using a pre-experimental design known as one group pretest-posttest. The subjects of the study were all children in group B at TK Islamiyah Pontianak Tenggara, totaling 12 children. Sample selection was done using Purposive Sampling technique from the entire population, ensuring that the chosen sample met the predefined criteria to aid the research process. Data collection techniques included test, observation, and documentation processes. Descriptive data analysis was used to determine mean, median, mode, and standard deviation. Prerequisite tests conducted were normality test and hypothesis testing. The pretest results (before using the busy book) had an average score of 5.53, while the posttest results (after using the busy book) showed an average score of 9.20. Based on the significant level of 5% (2.106), the paired sample t-test analysis resulted in a calculated t-value (6.862) that was greater than the critical t-value (2.160), with a significance (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. This indicates that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of using busy book media on the ability to recognize number concepts at TK Islamiyah Pontianak Tenggara.
