Abstract

This study explores the role of mindfulness-based compensation and work-life boundary management in reducing quiet quitting through psychological well-being among retail employees in Padang, Indonesia. A total of 109 respondents from small and large retail businesses participated using a stratified random sampling technique. Data were gathered through a structured questionnaire and analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings reveal that both mindfulness-based compensation and work-life boundary significantly affect psychological well-being and reduce quiet quitting. However, psychological well-being does not significantly influence quiet quitting and does not mediate the relationship between the two independent variables and quiet quitting. These results suggest that while organizational efforts may improve psychological well-being, they do not necessarily reduce employee disengagement. Retail companies should incorporate mindfulness elements into compensation policies and establish clear work-life boundaries to support employee engagement. Additionally, the findings point to the need for further research on other influential factors, such as job satisfaction and organizational culture, which may directly impact quiet quitting. Future studies are encouraged to examine alternative mediators to better understand disengagement and to develop more effective human resource strategies for the retail sector.

Abstract

This community service initiative, conducted by the Universitas Adzkia team at SD Negeri 15 Banuaran, aimed to address the issue of teacher burnout through a cognitive ergonomics approach. Burnout, characterized by mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion due to prolonged work stress, is a significant challenge faced by elementary school teachers. This seminar provided teachers with practical strategies to manage their cognitive workload, improve stress management, and create a more balanced work environment. The event was structured into three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. During the implementation stage, teachers were introduced to cognitive ergonomics principles, including time management techniques, structured breaks, and the use of digital tools to reduce administrative burdens. The seminar also emphasized the importance of mental well-being and its impact on teaching quality and student learning. Feedback from participants indicated a high level of engagement and appreciation for the practical solutions offered. The success of this initiative highlights the importance of addressing teacher burnout through cognitive ergonomics, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more productive educational environment. This program serves as a model for future efforts to support teacher well-being and improve the quality of education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study explores the role of Adaptive Leadership 5.0, an integrative leadership model combining Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emotional Intelligence (EQ), in facilitating organizational transformation within Bank Muamalat West Sumatra in response to VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) challenges. Employing a quantitative method using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), data were gathered from 85 respondents through online surveys, complemented by qualitative insights from expert interviews. The findings reveal that while AI and EQ do not have a significant direct impact on organizational transformation, both significantly influence VUCA responsiveness. Specifically, adaptive leadership significantly enhances transformation outcomes and reduces VUCA effects. AI has a significant positive impact on VUCA but not directly on transformation, whereas EQ strongly influences VUCA but lacks direct influence on transformation outcomes. These results suggest that technological and emotional capacities function more effectively as mediating mechanisms rather than primary drivers of change. The study contributes theoretically by advancing the concept of Adaptive Leadership 5.0 within the context of Islamic banking and highlights practical implications for leadership development programs that emphasize the ethical integration of digital innovation and emotional intelligence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the innovation of AgreementTech in employment agreements based on digital leadership in the disruption era, with a specific focus on the socio-cultural and legal context of West Sumatra. Digital transformation has reshaped employment relations through the emergence of electronic contracts and technology-based systems, yet legal certainty and organizational readiness remain major challenges. A mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design was employed, in which quantitative data were collected through surveys of employees and company managers, followed by qualitative data obtained through in-depth interviews with company leaders, HR practitioners, and labor law experts. The findings reveal that the Disruption Era significantly influences employment contract innovation through AgreementTech, while the direct effect of digital leadership is not significant. Nevertheless, digital leadership strongly influences organizational readiness to face the disruption era, thereby indirectly encouraging the adoption of AgreementTech. From a legal perspective, the study highlights the need for a reconstruction of contract law norms to accommodate electronic agreements, including stronger regulation of digital signatures and the evidentiary status of digital contracts in court. Accordingly, the combination of external pressures, digital leadership, and the renewal of contract law constitutes the foundation for the implementation of AgreementTech in the digital era.
