Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy of the gold pawning product (rahn) at BSI KCP Rungkut 1 and its impact on the increase in the number of customers. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through interviews with internal bank representatives. The research findings indicate that the marketing strategies implemented encompass the 7Ps of marketing: a sharia-based product, competitive pricing without interest, active promotion through social media and direct visits to markets ("market raids"), as well as fast, transparent services guided by the AKHLAK values. These strategies have successfully attracted new customers, particularly from the MSME sector and housewives. The number of customers increased from 300 in 2023 to 425 in 2024. This proves that an effective marketing strategy, based on community engagement and sharia principles, can enhance customer trust and loyalty toward the gold pawning product.

Abstract

Abstract

Financial inclusion is an important element in equitable economic development. However, people with disabilities still face obstacles in accessing Islamic financial services. In fact, the Islamic financial system based on the principles of al-'adl (justice) and maṣlaḥah (benefit) is in line with the goal of Maqāṣid al-Syarī'ah to protect property (hifz al-mal), soul (hifz al-nafs), and human dignity (ḥifẓ al-'irdh). This study aims to analyze the inclusion of Islamic finance for people with disabilities in Indonesia through a literature review (library research) with a qualitative descriptive approach to legal sources, scientific literature, and regulatory agency reports. The results of the study show that despite regulations such as Law No. 8 of 2016, the Compilation of Sharia Economic Law (KHES), and POJK No. 6/POJK.07/2022, the application of Maqāṣid al-Syarī'ah values in Islamic financial services has not been optimal due to the limitations of inclusive infrastructure, low literacy, and the absence of specific technical guidelines. This research emphasizes the need to integrate the principles of Maqāṣid al-Syarī'ah in digital policies, regulations, and innovations in order to realize an inclusive and socially just Islamic financial system.

Abstract

The high demand for housing among the public has led to a significant increase in the need for home financing, making the role of Islamic financial institutions crucial in providing financing solutions that align with Islamic principles. Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), through its Griya Hasanah product, offers home ownership financing that is free from interest (riba) and based on Sharia contracts. However, the growing demand also heightens the potential risk of problematic financing, necessitating a strict and accurate classification of customer eligibility. This study aims to analyze the application of the 5C+1S principles in assessing the eligibility of customers for Griya Hasanah financing at BSI KCP Sidoarjo Krian. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, employing in-depth interviews with the marketing team and Business Operational Staff (BOSM), along with data triangulation through financing documents and field observations. The findings reveal that the implementation of the 5C+1S principles (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, Condition of Economy, and Sharia Compliance) contributes significantly to reducing the risk of problematic financing. The principles of Character and Capacity carry the highest assessment weight, as they are directly related to the customer's integrity and repayment ability. Meanwhile, the Sharia aspect serves as the main differentiator from conventional financial institutions, ensuring that all financing processes adhere to Islamic values.
