Abstract

The role of nurses in emergency management is very crucial in providing effective and timely services to patients. Training in emergency management skills is important to improve nurses' competence in situations that require a quick and precise response. The aim of this research is to evaluate the effect of emergency management skills training for nurses on increasing competence and readiness in responding to emergency situations. This research method uses a pre-test post-test study design with a control group, where a number of nurses from various care units are identified and divided into an intervention group (which received training) and a control group (without training). Training is carried out using simulation methods and practical exercises involving realistic emergency scenarios. Before and after training, both groups were tested to measure their level of competency and readiness in responding to emergency situations. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the level of competency and readiness to respond to emergency situations in the group that received emergency handling skills training compared to the control group. Nurses who undergo training show increased abilities in evaluating situations, making decisions, and implementing appropriate actions in emergency situations. The conclusion of this research is that training in emergency management skills has a significant positive influence on increasing the competency and readiness of nurses in responding to emergency situations. Implementing regular and comprehensive training in care environments can be an effective strategy for improving healthcare standards and patient safety.

Abstract

Today there are no more people who do not know about technological developments. Everything is very sophisticated and modern. In fact, it is very easy for someone to know something through technology-based media and fast in disseminating various information. All of this is of course thanks to increasingly advanced technology. As recently appeared an application called Chat GPT. GPT Chat is an application that can respond to every question asked by respondents. Chat GPT stands for "Chat-based Generative Pre-trained Transformer". GPT chat is also a language model developed by Open AI that uses the powerful transformers architecture to generate responsive and context-appropriate text conversations. GPT Chat has been widely used by all groups, especially in the world of education. GPT Chat can be used by students in learning Arabic in tertiary institutions such as to improve their skills in kalam and qiraah. The purpose of this study is to find out that the use of gamification in learning Arabic has an influence on students' qiraah skills and also makes it easier to complete assignments. The data collection technique is through the distribution of a questionnaire. In the questionnaire there are statements that will be answered by students in tertiary institutions. The results of this study explain that the use of Char GPT in learning Arabic in tertiary institutions gets a positive response from students such as increasing students' reading skills, increasing motivation in learning, increasing enthusiasm for learning, and making it easier to complete assignments. The conclusion of this research explains that the existence of GPT Chat provides enormous opportunities, especially in the process of learning Arabic because there are many benefits obtained from using GPT Chat. The limitation of this research is that researchers only conduct this research at the tertiary level which incidentally has the ability to think critically.

Abstract

Background: The rapid advancement of technology has led to a significant increase in transnational cybercrime, posing serious challenges to existing criminal procedure laws. Traditional legal frameworks often fall short in addressing the complexities and borderless nature of cybercrimes, necessitating comprehensive reforms to enhance international cooperation and effective law enforcement. Objective: This research aims to analyze the current inadequacies in criminal procedure laws regarding transnational cybercrime and propose necessary reforms to strengthen legal frameworks, ensuring efficient cross-border cybercrime management. Methodology: This study employs a qualitative research method, including a comprehensive literature review, analysis of existing legal frameworks, and expert interviews. The comparative analysis of different countries' approaches to cybercrime legislation provides insights into best practices and potential improvements. Results: The research findings reveal significant gaps in the current legal procedures, such as jurisdictional challenges, lack of standardized definitions, and inadequate international cooperation mechanisms. The study identifies key areas for reform, including harmonization of cybercrime laws, enhancement of mutual legal assistance treaties, and adoption of advanced technological tools for investigation. Conclusion: The reform of criminal procedure laws is imperative to effectively address transnational cybercrime. The proposed reforms emphasize the need for a unified legal framework, improved international collaboration, and utilization of modern technologies to ensure robust and adaptive legal responses to the evolving nature of cyber threats.

Abstract

Background. The integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with the Arts, forming STEAM, has gained attention as an approach to enhance creative thinking and interdisciplinary learning in higher education. While STEM disciplines emphasize analytical and problem-solving skills, the inclusion of visual arts fosters innovation and creativity, preparing students for complex, real-world challenges. Purpose. This study explores the integration of applied mathematics with visual arts as a STEAM approach to enhance creative thinking in higher education. Method. The research adopts a mixed-method design, combining quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the impact of a STEAM-based curriculum. A quasi-experimental study was conducted with 120 undergraduate students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group engaged in interdisciplinary projects combining mathematical modeling with artistic design, while the control group followed a traditional STEM curriculum. Creativity was measured using the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) and student reflections. Results. The findings reveal that the experimental group demonstrated a 40% improvement in creative thinking scores compared to the control group. Qualitative data indicated that students in the experimental group exhibited greater engagement, motivation, and ability to connect abstract mathematical concepts with practical, creative applications. Challenges included time management and adapting to interdisciplinary methodologies. Conclusion. The study concludes that integrating applied mathematics with visual arts in a STEAM-based curriculum significantly enhances creative thinking. This approach fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and engagement among students. Future research should explore its scalability across diverse educational settings and disciplines.

Abstract

Communication between adolescents and parents plays an important role in the emotional development and mental health of adolescents. The method used in this study is a literature review, by analyzing various studies related to family communication and adolescents' lack of openness. The results of the study indicate that lack of openness in communication can increase anxiety, stress, depression, and feelings of isolation in adolescents. In addition, lack of openness can also affect academic achievement and social behavior in adolescents. Some factors that influence this lack of openness include parenting style, family dynamics, adolescents' personal experiences, and cultural norms. This study also highlights the importance of open communication in the family, where parents who listen to and support adolescents' emotions can help reduce anxiety and improve their emotional health. In the context of Indonesian culture, social norms that value parental authority often cause adolescents to be reluctant to speak openly. These findings are expected to provide insights to improve family communication and support adolescents' emotional well-being through a more open and empathetic approach.
