Abstract

The management strategy at MTsN 2 Bukittinggi also involves a results-based learning approach. Regular monitoring and evaluation are conducted to assess student achievement and the effectiveness of learning programmes. The data obtained from this process is not only used as an evaluation tool, but also as a basis for drafting improvement plans and developing educational policies. The purpose of this study is to explain the Effective Madrasah Management Strategy in Improving the Quality of Teaching and Learning at MTsN 2 Bukittinggi. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive, which intends to describe Effective Madrasah Management Strategies in Improving Teaching and Learning Quality at MTsN 2 Bukittinggi through in-depth information extraction in accordance with the predetermined research focus.The results of this study show that MTsN 2 Bukittinggi successfully integrates various aspects of research to create a balanced educational ecosystem. With effective learning management, active stakeholder participation, wise resource management, and continuous evaluation, this madrasah is able to provide quality learning experiences that are relevant to students' development. This success is not only reflected in academic achievement, but also in students' character development and positive contribution to society. Abstrak Strategi manajemen di MTsN 2 Bukittinggi juga melibatkan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis hasil. Pemantauan dan evaluasi berkala dilakukan untuk menilai pencapaian siswa dan efektivitas program pembelajaran. Data yang diperoleh dari proses ini tidak hanya digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi, tetapi juga sebagai dasar untuk penyusunan rencana perbaikan dan pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang Strategi Manajemen Madrasah Efektif dalam Peningkatan Kualitas Belajar Mengajar di MTsN 2 Bukittinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan deskriptif, yang bermaksud untuk mendeskripsikan Strategi Manajemen Madrasah Efektif dalam Peningkatan Kualitas Belajar Mengajar di MTsN 2 Bukittinggi melalui penggalian informasi secara mendalam sesuai dengan fokus penelitian yang telah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa MTsN 2 Bukittinggi berhasil mengintegrasikan berbagai aspek penelitian untuk menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang seimbang. Dengan manajemen pembelajaran yang efektif, partisipasi aktif pemangku kepentingan, pengelolaan sumber daya yang bijak, dan evaluasi yang terus-menerus, madrasah ini mampu memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang berkualitas dan relevan bagi perkembangan siswa. Keberhasilan ini tidak hanya tercermin dalam pencapaian akademis, tetapi juga dalam pengembangan karakter siswa dan kontribusi positif terhadap masyarakat.

Abstract

One of the goals of Islamic education is to improve human intelligence and enhance the spirituality of each individual. Thus, education can improve the quality of life of each individual. One of the problems faced in the world of education is related to the curriculum which is the heart of educational institutions. The curriculum regulates the course of the education system and as a manager of educational programmers. So, if the curriculum does not have innovations that are in accordance with the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0, the resulting learning cannot improve the ability of students to compete in the industrial revolution 4.0. So, the author conducted research using the literature review research method. The location of this research is MTsN 1 Pariaman. This study found that the Islamic education curriculum, especially at MTsN 1 Pariaman, has sought curriculum innovation to keep up with the times that have developed. Adaptive and responsive Islamic education curriculum by producing various programmers that can support the ability of students to think critically and innovatively, collaborate and have a global outlook. With the development of science and technology, educators, learners and even parents must gain a better understanding of technology, information and communication. Educators should also endeavor to make changes, innovate learning, and adapt their learning to meet the needs of society. The curriculum, more specifically, must always be innovated. This is because curriculum programmers implemented in education can help learners learn and face challenges in the globalized industry 4.0. Abstrak Salah satu tujuan pendidikan Islam adalah untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan manusia dan meningkatkan spiritualitas setiap individu. Dengan demikian pendidikan dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup setiap individu. Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam dunia pendidikan adalah terkait dengan kurikulum yang merupakan jantung dari lembaga pendidikan. Kurikulum yang mengatur jalannya sistem pendidikan dan sebagai pengelola program pendidikan. Sehingga jika kurikulum tidak memiliki inovasi yang sesuai dengan tantangan revolusi industri 4.0, maka pembelajaran yang dihasilkan tidak dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik untuk bersaing dalam revolusi industri 4.0. Maka, penulis melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kajian literatur. Lokasi penelitian ini di MTsN 1 Pariaman. Pada penelitian ini menghasilkan bahwa kurikulum pendidikan Islam khususnya di MTsN 1 Pariaman telah mengupayakan inovasi kurikulum agar mengikuti perkembangan zaman yang telah berkembang. kurikulum pendidikan Islam yang adaptif dan responsif dengan menghasilkan berbagai program yang dapat mendukung kemampuan peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis dan inovatif, berkolaborasi dan berwawasan global. Dengan perkembangan IPTEK, pendidik, peserta didik, dan bahkan orang tua harus memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang teknologi, informasi, dan komunikasi. Para pendidik juga harus berusaha untuk melakukan perubahan, melakukan inovasi pembelajaran, dan menyesuaikan pembelajaran mereka untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Kurikulum lebih spesifik, harus selalu diinovasikan. Ini karena program kurikulum yang diterapkan dalam pendidikan dapat membantu peserta didik belajar dan menghadapi tantangan dalam industri 4.0 yang global.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to explore the contribution of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers' leadership competencies in shaping students’ discipline in religious observance at SMPN 2 Sintoga. The research addresses an empirical gap in the literature, which seldom links the leadership of IRE teachers to students’ worship practices within formal educational settings. Design/methods/approach – A qualitative approach was employed using an intrinsic case study method. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis involving IRE teachers, the school principal, and students. Thematic analysis was conducted with methodological triangulation and validated through member checking. Findings – The leadership of IRE teachers plays a strategic role in fostering students’ religious discipline through the habituation of congregational prayer, Qur’anic recitation, and motivational approaches. Among the 24 eighth-grade students interviewed, more than two-thirds reported a shift from reluctance to regular engagement in religious practices. Leadership strategies included cross-functional coordination, reward-and-sanction systems, and consistent spiritual guidance. Research implications – The results offer practical implications for educators and policymakers in designing character education programs rooted in daily worship practices, positioning religious teachers as moral and spiritual change agents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas urgensi integrasi konsep kesehatan mental dalam pendidikan agama Islam di era disrupsi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana pendidikan agama Islam yang umumnya hanya menekankan nilai spiritual dapat turut serta mendukung kesejahteraan psikologis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kepustakaan dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui literatur, buku, jurnal, dan artikel terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi antara konsep kesehatan mental dan pendidikan agama Islam berpotensi menciptakan keseimbangan antara aspek spiritual dan psikologis siswa, yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan kesejahteraan mereka. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan yang lebih holistik dan berbasis kesejahteraan mental di lembaga pendidikan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Small Group Discussion dalam membentuk kompetensi critical thinking dan communication peserta didik, serta untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat keberhasilan metode ini dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode penelitian lapangan (field research). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan metode Small Group Discussion di SMPN 1 VII Koto Sungai Sariak telah berkontribusi positif dalam membentuk kemampuan critical thinking dan communication skills siswa, meskipun masih menghadapi tantangan. Guru telah merancang pembelajaran berbasis kolaborasi, namun tujuan yang kurang spesifik dan panduan diskusi yang belum terstruktur menjadi hambatan. Metode ini meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengidentifikasi masalah dan menyampaikan pendapat, tetapi partisipasi sering terhambat oleh dominasi siswa tertentu dan dinamika diskusi yang tidak merata. Evaluasi menunjukkan kemajuan dalam analisis informasi dan penyampaian ide, meskipun keterampilan mendengarkan aktif dan pola pikir logis masih perlu ditingkatkan. Kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu, minimnya teknologi, dan rendahnya kepercayaan diri siswa dapat diatasi dengan pelatihan intensif, media pembelajaran inovatif, dan integrasi tugas kelompok. Perbaikan menyeluruh pada perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi dapat mengoptimalkan metode ini untuk membangun kompetensi abad ke-21. Abstract

This research aims to analyse how the idea of Islamic education reform progresses from the perspective of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan and the role of Muhammadiyah in inheriting K.H Ahmad Dahlan's thoughts. The method in this research uses character research with a literature study approach (Library Research). The results showed that K.H. Ahmad Dahlan was a reform thinker in Indonesia who was engaged in the field of education through the organisation he formed, namely Muhammadiyah. There are so many thoughts of renewal of Islamic education, such as in the aspects of the education system, educational goals, educational materials to teaching methods. K.H. Ahmad Dahlan as a figure of renewal in Indonesia came up with his thoughts to respond to the condition of the people, especially in the field of Islamic education which was very bad in Indonesia during the Dutch colonial government. The presence of the Islamic organisation formed by K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, Muhammadiyah, also inherited K.H. Ahmad Dahlan's understanding of progressive Islamic education, which is needed to be implemented in Indonesia. The results of this study can also be used as a reference in other studies related to Islamic education in Indonesia

Abstract

Education management plays an important role in making decisions about curriculum content and how education is planned and delivered. Inequality in access to education and curricular issues are two aspects of concern in Marx-inspired analyses of social inequality in education. The purpose of this research is to explain about the Assessment of Karl Marx's Perspective in Education Management: An Analysis of Social Inequality in the Education System. The method used in this study uses qualitative research procedures using a research approach in the form of a literature study. The sources of information in this research are reviewed from various novel sources of literature, research reports, scientific essays, theses, dissertations and posts both print and electronic related to the Study of Karl Marx's Perspective in Education Management: An Analysis of Social Inequality in the Education System. The results of this study suggest that addressing social inequalities in the education system, education management should prioritise fairer access for all students, regardless of their social and economic background. This could include providing financial aid, scholarships and support programmes for underprivileged students. In addition, education management needs to focus on improving the quality of education across the region. Improved school facilities, better teacher training and more relevant curriculum development are important steps in creating higher quality education. In this way, all students have the same opportunity to get a quality education.

Abstract

Creating a social justice-orientated education system through resource redistribution will open the door for every individual to get a quality education and develop their full potential. This will help reduce social inequality in education, which in turn can have a positive impact on society and the economy as a whole. The purpose of this research is to explain about Karl Marx's Theory and Redistribution of Educational Resources: Reviewing Social Justice-Oriented Education Management. The method used in this study uses qualitative research procedures using a research approach in the form of a literature study. Sources of information in this study were reviewed from various novel sources of literature, research reports, scientific essays, theses, dissertations and posts both print and electronic related to Karl Marx Theory and Redistribution of Educational Resources: Reviewing Social Justice-Oriented Education Management. The results of this study show that applying Marx's theory in education management involves a number of concrete steps, including equitable resource allocation, free or affordable education, inclusion, critical education, the role of government, community participation, and quality evaluation. These are measures that aim to transform the education system into a powerful tool for reducing social inequality and ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity to develop fully. Working towards social justice in education requires the co-operation of various parties, including governments, educational institutions, communities and individuals. Only with concerted efforts can we create an education system that empowers all individuals, without exception, to reach their full potential and build a more just and socially equitable society.

Abstract

Abstrak Integrasi teknologi dalam pendidikan tidak selalu berjalan mulus, terutama di lingkungan madrasah yang harus menjaga keseimbangan antara pendidikan umum dan nilai-nilai keislaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi strategi optimalisasi kepemimpinan guru di MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran Islam di era revolusi industri 5.0 dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan guru madrasah, kepala madrasah, dan peserta didik serta observasi secara langsung di kelas selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman secara aktif mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam pembelajaran dan melaksanakan pelatihan profesional bagi guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. (2) Meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti infrastruktur terbatas dan kesenjangan digital, teknologi telah meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan peserta didik. (3) Kepemimpinan guru berperan penting dalam mengatasi hambatan dan mendorong penggunaan teknologi, sementara dukungan pimpinan madrasah dan kebijakan yang fleksibel memfasilitasi keberhasilan integrasi. (4) Pelatihan yang terfokus pada keterampilan digital dan pedagogis telah memperbaiki efektivitas pembelajaran. Upaya ini menunjukkan komitmen madrasah untuk beradaptasi dengan era digital, dengan harapan bahwa pengembangan profesional dan akses yang merata akan memperkuat kualitas pendidikan dan mempersiapkan peserta didik untuk masa depan.   Abstract The integration of technology in education does not always run smoothly, especially in madrasah environments which must maintain a balance between general education and Islamic values. This research aims to identify strategies for optimizing teacher leadership at MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman in an effort to improve the quality of Islamic learning in the era of the industrial revolution 5.0 using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews with madrasa teachers, madrasa heads and students as well as direct observations in the classroom during the learning process. Data collection techniques use techniques snowball sampling. The research results show that (1) MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman actively integrates technology in learning and carries out professional training for teachers to improve the quality of education. (2) Despite facing challenges such as limited infrastructure and the digital divide, technology has increased student motivation and engagement. (3) Teacher leadership plays an important role in overcoming barriers and encouraging the use of technology, while madrasa leadership support and flexible policies facilitate successful integration. (4) Training focused on digital and pedagogical skills has improved learning effectiveness. This effort shows the madrasa's commitment to adapting to the digital era, with the hope that professional development and equitable access will strengthen the quality of education and prepare students for the future.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang penerapan pendekatan diferensiasi dalam Kurikulum Merdeka pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMPN 1 VII Koto Sungai Saraik untuk menggali efektivitas, kepuasan siswa, serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi pendekatan ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan pendekatan diferensiasi dalam Kurikulum Merdeka pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMPN 1 VII Koto Sungai Sariak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan differensiasi pada mata pelajaran PAI di SMPN 1 VII Koto Sungai Sariak memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan keterlibatan siswa. Meskipun terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam implementasinya, seperti keterbatasan waktu, beban kerja guru yang meningkat, dan keterbatasan sumber daya, manfaat yang diperoleh dari pendekatan ini signifikan. Untuk mengoptimalkan penerapan pendekatan differensiasi, diperlukan dukungan yang kuat dari pihak sekolah, peningkatan pelatihan bagi guru, serta keterlibatan aktif dari orang tua. Dengan komitmen yang kuat dan kerjasama dari semua pihak, pendekatan differensiasi dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif, mendukung perkembangan individual siswa, dan memaksimalkan potensi belajar mereka.
