Abstract

IN INDONESIAN LITERARY WORKS IN ONLINE MEDIA(CULTURAL STUDIES IN CRITICAL DISCOURSE ANALYSIS)ABSTRACT:Literary works that are constructed by culture are also called ethnic identities. Several aspects form ethnic identity, namely: (1) one's own identity; (2) knowledge of ethnic culture (traditions, customs, values, and behavior); and (3) the feeling that one belongs to a particular ethnic group. Qualitative methods are used in this research to construct the structural elements of short stories through a cultural studies approach that uses critical discourse analysis (CDA). The aim of this research is to expand our understanding of the phenomenon of ethnic identity by viewing ethnic identity as a reflection of history or social construction, as well as how power relations are built in texts. The data collection method consists of downloading short stories from online media, which are then described, analyzed and interpreted according to the short story's structural elements, ethnic identity and CDA. Ethnic identity is seen at the CDA stage through linguistic components through grammar and discourse practices in the form of text production and consumption, as well as power relations in the form of dynamics between characters, story settings, and themes raised, including interpersonal conflict, oppression and discrimination, and ethnic assimilation between groups. majority and minority.KEYWORDSEthnic Identity; Cultural Studies; Critical Discourse Analysis; Power Relations

All processes will be adjusted based on the students' needs in terms of English skills. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires and testing, and qualitative data were collected through interviews. To develop learning materials to offer students, researchers sought to find needs analysis, effectiveness, and practicality of the products in designing and implementing. Based on the research findings, the study was considered valid and practical and could be used to improve the quality of English comprehension among students.

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) programme aims to improve the competence of senior high school Indonesian language teachers in implementing differentiated learning in response to student diversity and the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum. The activity took the form of a one-day intensive workshop for 26 members of the Indonesian Language MGMP in Rokan Hilir Regency on 25 October 2025. The implementation method included five integrated stages: concept socialisation, training on the principles of differentiation and diagnostic assessment, integration of technology for learning resource curation, practical guidance through simulation, and the formation of a digital learning community. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in the participants' practical skills, as evidenced by their ability to develop lesson plans (RPP) that integrate variations in content, process, and product, as well as their success in curating digital learning resources relevant to student learning profiles. In addition, a partner satisfaction questionnaire revealed a very high level of success, with 95% of respondents expressing satisfaction with the implementation of the programme. The conclusion from this activity is that practice-oriented workshops supported by sustainable communities are effective in building teachers' capacity to create inclusive learning.
