Abstract

Promotion of Malay gastronomy is an important aspect in introducing the richness of Indonesian culture to the world. In order to promote Malay culinary delights, poetry is used as a means of expression that combines the beauty of diction with the deliciousness of food. Poetry, as a form of literature, is able to evoke images, sensations and deep feelings in the souls of its readers. In this case, poetry becomes a powerful tool to describe the taste, uniqueness and history of Malay gastronomy. Promotion of Malay gastronomy in the form of poetry can also revive stories related to traditional Malay food. In poetry, legends about the origins of food or stories about typical Malay spices can be presented with strong imagination, thereby helping to enrich the reader's understanding of the history and cultural context of the food. The Riau Sastra.com portal has an important role as a medium for publishing Malay gastronomic poetry. Through this platform, poetry writers can share their works on Malay culinary themes, and readers can enjoy the beauty of poetry while expanding their knowledge of Malay culture. In conclusion, using poetry as a promotional tool for Malay gastronomy on the Riau Sastra.com Portal can be an effective way to introduce the uniqueness and deliciousness of Malay culinary delights to a wider audience. Poetry has the power to bring stories to life, describe flavors, and arouse curiosity, making it an ideal vehicle for broadening appreciation of Indonesia's culinary heritage.

Abstract

Environmental literary works appear as a form of literary sensitivity to society and the environment which has specific environmental tendencies. Studies using the theory of ecological literature began in around 2008 and above with a very limited number. Therefore, the development of studies of literary works with this theory is very necessary. The creation of public opinion about the importance of protecting the environment to reduce the impact of global warming is very necessary. Later, through several novels, authors have done it. However, not all messages in the novel are clearly conveyed so that they still need ecological literary criticism to understand them. Based on this, the problem raised in this study is "What is the ecological literary criticism of Indonesia's latest novels?". Data collection and data analysis is done by descriptive and content analysis methods. Data are classified and analyzed with ecological literary concepts according to Garrard including (1) pollution; (2) wilderness; (3) disaster; (4) housing / residence; (5) animals; and (6) earth. The research findings and discussion show that Indonesia's latest novels are friendly with their environment, want to describe as much detail as possible about the universe, worship nature, and are always interested in natural changes. Ecological literary concepts are contained in Indonesia's latest novels to describe the natural situation as well as to criticize human treatment of nature. Indonesia's latest novels teach that an attitude of compassion for nature gives rise to desire and behavior to protect and preserve nature as well as possible.

Abstract

The problem of natural disasters is a form of human inability to understand environmental ethics. Humans cause the tendency for natural disasters to occur. Humans, as creatures equipped with thoughts and are believed to be leaders, still violate the provisions that apply in tradition. This study aims to reveal the obsession and idealistic manifestation of women in the "Nenek" character in the novel Nenek Hebat Dari Saga by Yoshici Shimada. In addition, consider perspective and cultural perspectives. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences, the interpretation of which is believed to contain the values of environmental education. The data for this study came from Yoshici Shimada's children's novel, Nenek Hebat Dari Saga. The results show that there are three values of environmental education or sociocultural values contained in the novel Nenek Hebat Dari Saga by Yoshici Shimida, namely: the value of environmental education on responsibility, the value of sociocultural compassion and concern for nature; the value of not harming; the value of living simply and in harmony with nature; and the value of democratic environmental education. As a result, the obsession of the "Nenek" figure with overcoming the decline in environmental education values can be used as the foundation of sociocultural theory so that humans can live simple and ethical life. Thus, this research can provide input to teachers and parents in providing reading material to children that can raise awareness among children about the importance of preserving the environment

Abstract

The digitization of folklore will have a lot of impact, either on folklore itself or even greater on the folklore culture from which it originates. Folktale are the most digitized folklore. Folktale are turned into animated films on social media. As a product of culture, folktale contain local wisdom and values. This is the urgency of this research, whether there are additions, reductions, or varied changes from folktale that are already in written form to the form of animated films on social media like YouTube. Then, how do these additions, reductions, or varied changes affect the existence of the folktale? The theories used are transformation and ecranization. This research is qualitative, with description methods and content analysis techniques. The research data sources are the folktale Legend of Malin Kundang in the book Collection of Indonesian Folk Stories published by Dua Media and the animated film "Legend of Malin Kundang" from the Riri Interactive Children's Stories YouTube channel. The results of the research show that there are reductions, additions, and varied changes from the folklore hipogram of the Malin Kundang legend to the animated film. Then, there was also an expansion, but there was no conversion from the hipogram to the animated film. This research is useful to add to the reference research on transfer of folklore vehicle which is still very minimal.
