Abstract

Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan universitas dalam beradaptasi dengan revolusi industri 5.0 adalah blended learning, yaitu metode pembelajaran hybrid menggabungkan secara online dan tatap muka. Pendekatan metode seperti itu, dapat memperkuat pengalaman mahasiswa menggunakan perangkat digital, yang sangat penting di dunia kerja di masa depan. Pola lama pendidikan tinggi tidak lagi cukup untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswa memasuki dunia kerja. Kemampuan atau skills seperti berpikir kritis (critikal thinking), kreatifitas, dan adaptabilitas, semakin penting dimiliki mahasiswa. Universitas atau perguruan tinggi perlu menyesuaikan kurikulumnya untuk memastikan agar para mahasiswa memiliki skills yang dibutuhkan demi mencapai kesuksesan di era baru ini. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Universitas X tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 orang yang dipilih secara purposive random. Teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu distribusi tabel frekuensi. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah: (1) Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran cukup menerapkan kampus merdeka dalam menghadapi era revolusi industri 5.0., dan (2) faktor penghambat penerapan kampus merdeka menghadapi era revolusi industri 5.0 pada universitas X adalah pemahaman mahasiswa, pemahaman orang tua, dan industri yang masih baru menjadi penghambat dalam menghadapi era revolusi industri 5.0; serta kurangnya literasi mahasiswa. Selanjutnya faktor pendukung penerapan kampus merdeka menghadapi era revolusi industri 5.0 pada universitas X adalah penggunaan digitalisasi, kemampuan dan kompetensi dosen, serta pengembangan program pendidikan dan pelatihan bagi dosen.

Abstract

Disruption of electricity supply is one of the main factors hampering industrial productivity, especially in the mining sector that relies on independent power plants such as generators. PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) experienced repeated problems related to damage to the Electric Module Control Panel (EMCP) in the Caterpillar 400 KVA generator set due to a sudden surge in current. This study aims to describe the process of implementing an additional protection system in the form of a protection relay and evaluate its effectiveness in preventing EMCP damage. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach by collecting data through observation, interviews, and studies of the company's internal documentation. The results showed that the protection relay system was able to eliminate the frequency of EMCP damage to zero incidents, reduce downtime from 7 days to 30 minutes, and reduce replacement costs from Rp34,000,000 to Rp100,000 per incident. This innovation also has a positive impact on the aspects of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale (QCDSM). This study suggests the application of protection relays as a safety system standard in mining industry generators and the need for further studies with a technical-quantitative approach to measure system performance more accurately.

Abstract

Boxes for drug storage are handy and essential and play a role in helping the healing process and support maintaining patient health regularly for a long time. SmartBox is not a new thing, but because of its importance, it, SmartBox continues to be developed to date according to the needs needed. In previous research, the formation of SmartBox was only for particular things. This study tries to unify the 17 papers obtained with the help of a publish and perish application which is then carried out a literature review and using the VosViewer application to get an overview of trend development and the essential factors or aspects in the formation of SmartBox and its development. In addition to getting the trend of SmartBox development, this research also finds seven essential factors that will be useful for Smartbox development. With this research, it hopes that it will facilitate the development of SmartBox in the future.

Abstract

Dynamic positioning system simulator merupakan simulator yang dimiliki PIP Semarang dan untuk saat ini merupakan satu-satunya di perguruan tinggi pelayaran di Indonesia. dynamic positioning system simulator merupakan alat simulator yang dikhususkan untuk jenis kapal offshore. Dynamic positioning system simulator dilatihkan kepada taruna yang telah melaksanakan praktek lapangan. Meskipun demikian, masih banyak taruna yang belum memilliki kompetensi yang memadai tentang dynamic positioning system simulator setelah lulus dari PIP Semarang. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah dynamic positioning system simulator hanya diberikan dalam bentuk mata kuliah dan prakteknya satu kali saat kuliah dengan lama waktu maksimal 4 jam per taruna. Oleh karena itu, setelah selesai dan tidak bekerja di kapal offshore, maka pengetahuan taruna bisa hilang tentang dynamic positioning system simulator. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) gambaran pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator taruna nautika Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, (2) gambaran kompetensi taruna nautika Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, (3) besar pengaruh pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator terhadap kompetensi taruna nautika Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang.Jenis penelitian  adalah survei. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Populasi penelitian ini adalah berjumlah 46 orang dan semuanya dijadikan sampel. variabel penelitian yaitu pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator (X)  dan (2) variabel terikat yaitu kompetensi taruna (Y). Teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu kuesioner, wawancara bebas, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu: (1) analisis statistik deskriptif berupa nilai rata-rata atau mean, median, modus, standar deviasi, distribusi frekuensi, dan histogram; serta (2) analisis statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan rumus regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian: (1) tingkat pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator taruna Nautika Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang dari 46 responden, yang menyatakan sangat rendah sebanyak 5 orang atau 10,87 persen, rendah sebanyak 12 orang atau 26,09 persen, sedang sebanyak 18 orang atau 39,13 persen, tinggi sebanyak 7 orang atau 15,22 persen, dan sangat tinggi sebanyak 4 orang atau 8,69 persen; (2) tingkat kompetensi taruna Nautika Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang dari 46 responden, yang menyatakan sangat rendah sebanyak 8 orang atau 17,39 persen, rendah sebanyak 15 orang atau 32,61 persen, sedang sebanyak 17 orang atau 36,96 persen, tinggi sebanyak 5 orang atau 10,87 persen, dan sangat tinggi sebanyak 1 orang atau 2,17 persen; dan (3) besarnya pengaruh pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator terhadap kompetensi taruna nautika Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang diketahui dengan membaca koefisien determinasinya (R2) = 0,495. Nilai R2 tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sumbangan efektif pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator terhadap pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator sebesar 49,50 persen. Sementara 50,50 persen karena pengaruh faktor lainnya. Kesimpulan penelitian: (1) pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator taruna Nautika Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang dikategorikan sedang artinya pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator telah terlaksana dengan baik, akan tetapi masih perlu peningkatan pelatihan yang lebih baik, (2) kompetensi taruna Nautika Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang dikategorikan sedang artinya taruna sudah memiliki kompetensi dengan baik setelah mengikuti pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator, akan tetapi masih perlu pelatihan yang berulang kali agar kompetensi taruna semakin meningkat, dan (3) pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kompetensi taruna nautika Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang dengan besaran 0,495 atau 49,5 persen. Hal ini menemukan bahwa semakin sering diadakan pelatihan dynamic positioning system simulator maka kompetensi taruna nautika Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang

Abstract

The study aims to investigate how cadets and teachers perceive and explore the main challenges faced in joining the Panrita English Village program. This study used a qualitative approach to gain an in-depth understanding of cadets’ and teachers’ perceptions and the main challenges of the program, with nine cadets and three lecturers. The techniques of data analysis used semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Findings show that most cadets and teachers loved the program since it was not monotonous, gave good chances for every participant to speak, and used a small class structure with one teacher handling just 10–12 cadets. Thoughts to boost confidence in English included role-playing, group debates, and language games. The interview results reveal significant challenges faced by cadets participating program. These challenges typically arise from scheduling conflicts caused by academic commitments, mandatory university activities, and unplanned extracurricular engagements. The responses provide insight into how these constraints influence participation and suggest potential improvements to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. This concludes that the program has successfully improved cadets' English speaking skills through interactive activities such as role-playing, debates, and language games, but its sustainability and broader impact depend on addressing scheduling constraints and implementing more flexible learning. The implication needs to be developed with a more flexible learning approach so that its success in improving cadets' English-speaking skills can be sustained despite facing academic schedule constraints. Further research needs to involve more institutions and longitudinal designs to strengthen the program's impact and sustainability.
